If you’ve ever seen how carrot sorting facility looks like, the amount of rats that run around, in and out of the carrot piled up on a floor, you probably wouldn’t touch a carrot without latex gloves on.

Note I know the dates are from a while ago but it’s still dangerous so if you have any of the carrot brands with the E. Coli return them to the store or throw them away

Walmart is still carrying the cal-organic line that is in the recall. Didn’t realize it til after I made a meal with it. Date was best by December so hoping we will be ok. It was definitely on my mind this morning though as I began randomly feeling nauseous.

I ate a ton on these carrots. I'm still waiting to see if it hits me or not. It can take up to 4 days.

Well if you get any of the symptoms go to the hospital or your doctor
AdditionalAd9794@reddit
Is it really necessary to go to the hospital for pissing out of your ass?
RT_456@reddit
You do realize people die from E. Coli right?
nvile_09@reddit (OP)
I’m pretty sure it can be deadly and cause other diseases nothing wrong with being safe
magobblie@reddit
I guess I'm glad my 3 year old refused them.

Maybe a blessing in disguise

Woah.. I had three bags of the recalled carrots and my 7 yr old son ate 2 bags worth (raw) spread out over the last month. Count our lucky stars he never got it! 😅
bearbearjones@reddit
Cool, just fed some to my kids today 🫠

Get a appointment with their doctor soon or go to the hospital

The one time it's good that my family wasted food. We bought some and were notified that they were part of the infected batch. But nobody ever opened the bag luckily.
nvile_09@reddit (OP)
Well that’s good tell your family and friends not to get any carrots from any brand and I know some brands aren’t infected but better to be safe than sorry
Actual-Money7868@reddit
Is it on the inside or outside of the carrots ?
Independent-Bison176@reddit
Dude how would it get inside the carrot??
Actual-Money7868@reddit
When it absorbs water ? A carrot is a root.
I'm just asking questions
nvile_09@reddit (OP)
I’m not sure but I think both either way I wouldn’t eat it until they say it’s ok to eat
wonderings@reddit
This one hit me too close to home. I had the Walmart brand organic carrots but luckily I do cook them to boiling/simmering in either curry or soup so maybe that saved me. I freeze in portions and I ate it all last week. I definitely need to start a garden soon. It’s just a shame we have to worry about our food supply so much.
nvile_09@reddit (OP)
Well there’s no need to worry just be careful and watch out for it make sure you take proper precautions and cook your food well but if I were you I’d get rid of them if you have more just to be safe

I hope this is not related to oncoming deportations.
