Sailmaker - anyone know?

These sails came with my Tartan 31. They’re nice, good quality. I’ve no idea who made them. Anyone recognize the logo? I’m in Connecticut, boat had been in Greenwich so NY lofts may also be a possibility.

For me it looks like storm sign for weather forecasts

There was a sail loft of break away sail makers on the Chesapeake Bay called Renegade. The start was about 15 years ago I'm guessing and they decided they had to change their name due to the negative connatation of the word Renegade equating to pirates and that is not a great marketing name use on the coast of S.E. Asia. After about a year and getting other lofts including an older and larger one in New Zealand, the name was changed to Evolution which I think was the name of the NZ loft. The Renegade name was the loft name when it started on the eastern shore of MD, later moving to Edgewater MD. I thought Renegade was just a fun looking R symbol but it was a while ago so perhaps not.

Wow, thank you Brwdr! I bet you’re right about this … the timing sounds about right. Appreciate it

That looks suspiciously like a riff on the Team Rocket logo from anime.

Hahaha, probably the other way around! these sails are at least 20 years old!

I say this as someone who experiences a deep, spiritual pain when reminded that The Little Mermaid was in theaters closer to the moon landing than the present day...
How long ago do you think 90s anime was?

I've been around the sailing community for 50 years in that area, and I've never seen this sailmaker logo. Google Lens also pulls up nothing.

I believe the boat was originally in the Chesapeake, forgot to mention that
