Finding an apartment in Midtown Park / Lake Highlands area and concerned about car break-ins after reading reviewes of some communities

Hey everybody, I've been touring apartments mainly in Midtown Park right off 75 where there's a handful of communities next to eachother. They all seem fairly similar- standard midrise "luxury" apartments. So far I've toured The Nash, and Everra at Midtown. I have more tours scheduled for The Mark and Luxia.
Can anyone who lives in this area give me a run down about how it is living in one of these communities? Like I said, they all look so similar it's hard to make a decision on which one to pick.
Also, I'm really interested in Lenox Lake Highlands Apartments, but read multiple reviews from the past year about car break-ins. That's really concerning considering it was 4 people all saying the same thing. Also mentioned it being next to a DART bus station could be a factor with the break-ins. The apartment complex itself looks fantastic and the bulding is new, but crime seems like an issue.
If you're a local here, has the crime situation improved? No way I move to an apartment where I have a high chance of a car break in.

I’m looking at the exact same area and concerned about safety as well. Please let me know if you find any information. Also how did you like the ones you toured so far?

I liked The Nash more than Everra just cause Everra has less units with balconies and that’s a must for me. Almost all the units at The Nash have balconies / patios but the building itself is slightly older. Everra had a decent courtyard. I’m leaning towards Luxia now though. Haven’t toured yet, but the apartments look the most updated from the video tours.
I think car break-ins are just a reality of living in that area. That’s why I never leave anything in my car. Let me know how your search goes

Luxia seems like a good option, given the price. I was also looking at Domain and have heard okay things about it but the leasing agents I reached out to have been annoying so far. I’m looking at Mark at Midtown, and Modena. Car break-ins have really been normalized in the Dallas area and every complex says it’s a part of living in the city and gets away with it. But I’m currently in a complex just 2 miles away, haven’t heard of a single break-in this entire year, knock on wood.

I lived at The Nash from 2018-2022. It was fine for the first few years. Then CWS took it over and it went dramatically down hill. Lots of vehicle break ins, trash piled up in halls, fobs didn’t work, vehicle gates never worked, fire alarms going off for hours at a time. One of the office staff screamed at me over the phone after I asked for a timeline of when we could expect these issues to be fixed. I’ve heard it’s gotten even worse in the past two years.

Thanks. I know vehicle break-ins happen but I can’t reconcile that it may be a possibility if I move to this area. I used to live in the medical district lovefield airport area and in the 2 years I was there, my roommate got his catalytic converter stolen. We lived close to the entrance of the neighborhood so weren’t too surprised.
There’s so many people living in these Midtown Park communities that it feels like a numbers game. Bound to happen and hopefully you’re not the unlucky one. I always keep my car clean with no valuables in sight. I’m considering even putting a sign like “no valuables in this car”, but I don’t know if that would actually deter thieves lol
Maybe my best bet would be to find a unit with an attached garage.

If car break-ins cause you a lot of anxiety, and that's the case for a lot of folks these days, then it's probably worth the investment to get a private, attached garage. A couple of new-ish complexes on Lovers east of Central Market have them, if you aren't finding them in your initial target area.
