One of the drawbacks of your country being a warzone is that criminals can get their hands on all sorts of things. Hell during the Yugo Civil War things as large as RPG-7's went missing and ended up turning up years later during raids on criminal storehouses throughout Europe. Yeah...full auto Yugo AK's and RPG's are in the hands of European criminals while we struggle to get .22's without layers of bureaucratic tape.

Since corruption is verry high in ukraine, the market is already pretty flooded with AKs from ukraine and this since the war started in 2014. There are a lot of bad people in power over military equipment who rather sell this stuff, than giving it to the troops who really need it.

Definitely not airsoft, the aftermarket for AK parts is plentiful and it would be insanely cheap and easy to mount an optic properly, plus most airsoft AKs will come with pic rails already because they know airsofters are itching to cover their gun in every possible attachment that will never get used and offer no advantage whatsoever

The AK and launcher look legit, but the scope definitely looks like an Amazon special (I think one variant was called "RioRand" with a twist off sunshade), which leads me to believe the scope rings are also Amazon specials. Amazon/alibaba/etc. stuff are sometimes marketed for centerfire guns, but are probably better suited towards airsoft.

There are gas tube rails for aks that do hold zero, but they are meant for red dot sights and stuff, not full on scopes. So no that shit aint holding zero

You could use a scope, but there aren't a ton of scopes with that kind of eye relief and none of them are very good. Or you could use some cantilever monstrosity, which would probably have issues.

The only thing that makes sense here is that it came off a criminal, since most aren’t too bright.

That whole setup is pretty miserable: eye relief won’t work, mounting is terrible, one of the worst AK stocks for a chin/cheek weld, and wrapping the bell to the barrel is definitely going to cause issues after the first shot.

Any optic on the handrail is like asking if you can zero using a rail adapter for the dust cover. It’s a hard no. They’re made to rattle, move, and warp since it’s basically attached to the gas block. Unless it’s attached directly to the receiver it’s always (usually,mostly,m) no.

Hold zero? No. But it would be fine enough for "minute of other guy"-accuracy within maybe 50-ish yards? This looks like something that'd be used for ambushes - especially with the GP25. The paint job, compact profile of the weapon (that looks like a short variaent [e.g 14 inch] barrel) with the folding stock make this a decent-enough option to hide in some foliage and do "guy hiding in bushes with a grenade launcher"-type stuff with, especially for areas that are urban-adjacent with lots of available spaces (e.g. a lot of the smaller towns and cities in Ukraine).
