I’m a 25 y/o black female that wants to travel to Paris for Christmas . I want to stay somewhere where I can see the Eiffel Tower from my hotel. Any suggestions, including places to eat for brunch and dinner?

Why does it matter what colour yr skin is when u travel (genuine question)
experienced_invest@reddit
You must be white so you will never understand
Busy-Beginning-4044@reddit
Help us understand rather than having that attitude. How can we know something if we’ve never been taught? How can someone understand when no one takes the time to enlighten them? Thank you:)

Fk off. If you want racism explained to you in reddit comments, you don't really want to learn about it.
No-Ideal_@reddit
And how u got to that conclusion do you know me?
Wooden_Door_1358@reddit
The internet is your friend

See this is what I thought but didn’t want to assume cuz there’s people with african ascendency that go to Paris and visit Pigalle that was one of the first neighborhoods that Black World War I veterans settled in to open restaurants and clubs and attracts a lot of tourists so I thought that she was talking about racism but didn’t want to assume cuz what if she’s just looking for recommendations as a black woman of places worth visiting while in Paris besides the Eiffel tower and that’s why I typed (genuine question) but yall american are already too deep in jumping to call everyone privileged (spoiler Im not even white and was not even raised in a first world country)
Wooden_Door_1358@reddit
Oh boy.. things you will never need to deal with.. that’s a privilege
No-Ideal_@reddit
That’s exactly why Im asking no need for your passive aggressiveness ew.

One of the best kept secrets of Paris is the MIJE Auberge de Jeunesse Fourcy in the Marais. You can get a dorm bed for about 40€ directly via their website (50€ via HostelWorld, avoiding an insane 120€+ through the big 3rd Party sites like booking dot com). It shows availability around Christmas.
It is an incredible 2 blocks from Notre Dame — and, because of the angle & height over surrounding buildings, there are rooms with views of the Eiffel Tower. You might want to follow up on your booking via email to beg the hostel directly for a view (and then beg again upon arrival). You can see user photos of the view on the hostel's google reviews. The views i have seen personally were in female dorms on the top floor.
Paris is a lovely city for Black tourists (even better of course if you speak at least a little French).
The city’s best, and cheapest, crêpes are on side streets in Montmartre. Buy a baguette and cheeses from markets on the Île St Louis outside your hostel, some cheap amazing wine, & picnic all day & all night for just a few euros. The Marais neighborhood (where the hostel is) is also famous for excellent, fresh, and cheap Middle Eastern food. Then splurge on the ultimate Instagram shot at Perruche (make a reservation, NOT shoestring but I think I get your vibe).
Go get your dreams, girl. Some of y’all in the comments need more kindness in your life. Being kind is free — the ultimate shoestring. Joyeux noël.

A nice "instagram view" balcony is an easy thousands a night. Also you are booking pretty close to travel time. Prices are probably going up right about now I'd assume. I'd vote. Do this next year and book farther in advance.

The area around the Eiffel tower is not where I'd want to stay in Paris. Anyway the view of the tower from Trocadero is the best in the city.
I'm a Latin quarter visitor (the 5th arrondissement) and it's my favourite place to stay in Paris
dial-up-noise@reddit
Do you want to do black people stuff?
pooplord6969696969@reddit
We also don't know where you're from, if you're french it's gonna be a hell of a lot cheaper than say south africa or madagascar
jmes_c@reddit
It’ll be unbelievably expensive, you are genuinely better off walking and seeing the Eiffel Tower yourself. Not exactly a shoestring activity
Aelydam@reddit
Yeah... Paris, holiday season, near the Eiffel tower...
Drums-addct64@reddit
It just depends….how close to the Eiffel tower you wanna stay?
Old_Advertising1218@reddit
My mom has an issue if I travel to another state and there you are traveling Paris.
Go friend 🙏🏻

NYE is even more expensive.
What is your budget?

Thanks for telling us your race.....
Electrical_Sky5833@reddit
It’s definitely important there is a ton of racism in countries where a black females safety could be a deep concern.
TelluridECore@reddit
but is france one of them?
HungryTeap0t@reddit
It's rage bait. There's people who like to troll.

You might want to look at prices of hotels right now for Xmas. I can imagine xmas in Paris is on a lot of people's list.
