fair point; I’d hedge that it’s unlikely to be entirely, say, campaign bots, however the funny part about that timeline especially in the context of the ongoing trend of account deletions is it would mean twitter’s userbase numbers have been arbitrarily inflated for awhile and now even the bot farms are fleeing

dead internet theory is a bit far-fetched for me, but I can get behind dead Twitter theory

Ive been shifting over to BSKY because Twitter has announced its adjusting how it's block functions will work, which go against my and many other countries' anti-bullying and online harassment laws (giving people you've blocked the ability to continue monitoring you while finding other avenues of harassment). This could result in Twitter being banned in said countries and I'd lose access.

Furthermore they're removing my ability to opt out of having my art fed into the AI generative image learning machines (AI image generation was actually given as an example in the ToS). For one I don't want my art being used in that way, and secondly if someone re-uploaded my art without my permission and it's fed into the machine it opens up grounds for my work being used against my will, opening up X to heavy copyright lawsuits for hundreds and hundreds of artists.

Obviously my opinions of the site's owner play a large part in my choice, but it's heavily led by not wanting to lose access to my creative outlet and community.
