Finally Reinstalled the Rear Passenger Window in My 1987 Yugo GV

Ordered new rubber seals, hinges, and other hardware for the pop-out windows as the original rubber was shot and the hinges were loose, causing a lot of play to the extent that I wouldn’t drive with the windows popped open because there was so much movement.
I replaced the driver’s side early last month, but when I went to put everything together on the passenger side I ran into an issue with the window pin (that pokes through the window and attaches to the hinge) being the wrong size. After trying to track down a replacement part (including from my parts contact in Serbia) I realized it was a lost cause, so I used my Dremel with a sanding disc to trim it down to where it would fit.
Went to reinstall it this morning and it went together perfectly (including new rear pillar trim, the old ones were cracked). Afterward, I started the car for the first time in about five weeks and it started right up and idled perfectly. Up next is replacing the turn signal switch so I can finally get it reinspected.

Does yours have the upgraded rear window heater? It helps keep your hands warm while pushing in the winter :)
Proud Yugoslav here having fun. Don’t take offence please.

fun fact, Fiat Uno Turbo had a rare option of rear window mechanism powered by a motor and controlled by a button
It can be easily retrofitted to a yugo, if you can find one...

You may want to reroute the positive battery cable. It looks like it could easily rub against something while driving and start a fire.

It has been like that for at least the eight years I’ve owned the car, and there are no signs of any wear to the cable itself. I do check it periodically since it runs kind of close to the radiator and upper hose.
