Gun safe recommendations

Looking to get a larger, and more secure, gun safe. I only need storage for a handful of rifles and pistols (will probably buy more like we all do). But was hoping to find a safe with quality locks, and weighing at least 400~ lbs to deter unbolting it and walking off with it. Budget is ideally $1000 with some flexibility. Does anyone have any good Black Friday deals and or safes worth the price tag. Ideal level of security is bare minimum to prevent or drastically reduce the ability to enter with brute force. My neighborhood is super safe, however I think we can all see the value in a quality safe.

To me you would be better off building a hidey spot and get a cheap safe as a decoy.

Sorry, but that budget is not going to get you in the neighborhood of a quality safe (or even quality RSC). Maybe try the used market in your area for something with 10 gauge or better for the sides? Skip the fireproofing unless you research it properly because at cheaper price points it's likely to just be something like sheet-rock lined interior that will do as much harm as good in a fire.

Costco online typically has one or two good safes on sale. For example - today they have the Bighorn SafeX 15 for $700. It only weighs 341 pounds but you could put a bag of rocks in the bottom if you really want to get to 400 pounds.

Tractor Supply, and look for a Winchester Safe.
It's my recommendation almost every time it comes up.
