Well, there are a couple things at work here. Of the humanoid Muppet Babies, Scooter, Skeeter, and Beaker all have red hair. Bunsen was green, bald, and eyeless, so he doesn't count. Furthermore, red is the complement of green on the color wheel, so the green socks indirectly prime the suggestion of red hair.

All without invoking Ms. Frizzle -- who wouldn't hit shelves until 1986.

The Stingers saved the show. Watching it as an adult, the Misfits rivalry wears thin fast. I can only watch Pizazz run over buildings with a tank so many times. My fave plot is when Rapture wears a cloak and ends up getting a concert crowd to join her half baked cult.
