Amazing muzzle brake to be able to bring the 14.5 down to mosin level of recoil. Like what Barrett did later
YeeYeeCountryStyle@reddit
Perfect for close combat
chu42@reddit
Shouldering a 46 lb gun is no mean feat.
8472939@reddit
the dude broke his shoulder from firing it lol, it's in the description of the original video
Global_Theme864@reddit
He definitely didn't, I own a PTRD, they kick but not that much.
8472939@reddit
https://youtu.be/TsI3fHUOlQM?si=zBL3B_cfuC6X4eWK
according to him, he broke (probably fractured imo) both shoulderblades, just because something didn't happen to you doesn't mean it can't happen
Global_Theme864@reddit
Based on the comments by the guy who posted the video on YouTube, who clearly isn’t the guy in the video? And if he broke his shoulder how did he not drop it?
Mokseee@reddit
And people on the internet are famous for always telling the truth
t3ddyki113r101@reddit
I think firing it from the shoulder is what did it. Imagine how much force your muscles are under to hold it and all that gear up to only get punched by a gun that by design needs to be supported on the ground.
8472939@reddit
exactly, multiple shots from improper stance in quick succession
CoffeeGulpReturns@reddit
That thing barely kicks! More weight less recoil. The guy shooting his Origin-12 on here like two days ago was taking a beating compared to this guy.
SodamessNCO@reddit
It is a mean feat, you have to be mean as hell to try something like that!
FrozenSeas@reddit
Now hang a halberd bayonet on it and we're talking.
martellus@reddit
He isn't actually shouldering it. Have a PTRS and several people tried then we went back to this video. The stock is actually under his shoulder - actually bringing it up onto your shoulder is a huge difference with that much weight up front.
AyeBraine@reddit
Yeah, I tihnk it's incredibly hard to hold just with your hands without that leverage point.
Appropriate_Bee7764@reddit
I thought there was no way someone could shoulder this the way it did in cod world at war campaign
LoganM-M@reddit
I'm very skeptic on wether or not he broke his shoulder, the only possible thing i can see is maybe from having the stock under the armpit, the gun is ~46lbs, my guess is maybe the top of the stock is pulling his shoulder up when firing, pulling muscle or something, maybe he dislocated his shoulder?
SodamessNCO@reddit
None of that would happen, the gun is designed to be fired from the shoulder. Just not while standing up

Ok, I know I'm going to be downvoted to hell but hear me out. Did you know Ukraine was committing genocide in Donbas since 20014-ish? Did you know that Russia tried to negotiate peace between Ukraine and separatists till 2022 and nobody, including UN and other European countries gave a fuck? I'm not defending Russia here, any invasion of any country is not good by any stretch, and most probably it was all setup and provoked by Putin anyway. But I just really hate the double standards set by western people. Invasion of Iran, Iraq, Lybia, Vietnam, Korea, Yugoslavia and a dozen of other countries by west? Oh that's just protecting "democracy" and/or killing "bad terrorists", THAT'S DIFFERENT, THAT'S BECAUSE WE'RE GOOD AND THEY'RE BAD! Ok, what about slavery, colonialism, drug wars and economical exploitation that continued for centuries and sometimes continues to this day? Oh that was IN THE PAST WE'RE DIFFERENT AND BETTER NOW (France continues to have colonies overseas, as do Great Britain and many other western countries. US has several prisons outside it's official borders where they can torture prisoners and keep them indefinitely without formal legal procedures). Tell me that's not double standards you're maintaining! Tell me you have any right to judge what is good and what is bad after all the horrible things you have done yourselves! Again, I do not support Russia and I'm not from Russia. I'm sure I'll be downvoted to hell and this comment probably won't last even half an hour, but I think that you, westerners, think too much of yourselves.
AGoodN_IsADeadOne@reddit
Um, no. Numerous organizations including the ICJ, IAGS, and OSCE found no evidence of genocide committed by Ukraine in the Donbas region. Any and all accusations by Russia, mind you, has been proven false. These false allegations made by Russia have been used to justify their actions in 2014 and the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
Just stop.
digost@reddit
Again, I do not support Russian invasion, and I already said in my other comment that the "genocide" was probably setup by Putin anyway. But what about Minsk cease fire agreements that were at first ignored by Ukraine and the west, but after invasion they suddenly started caring about them and shouting loudly about Russia/Donetsk violating them? Just stop yourselves. Look in the mirror.
FinnSwede@reddit
By the same logic, what about Russia violating the Budapest memorandum where they guaranteed where they promised to neither threaten nor use military force or coercion against Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine giving up the nuclear weapons in the country.
Lollipoppe@reddit
Whataboutism is a poor argument. The comment you replied to is deleted by now, but I can pretty much guess what it said. You should nevertheless not argue saying Russia too has broken laws, since that implies the opposing side did so as well.
Nesayas1234@reddit
Source?
Nesayas1234@reddit
Run on paragraph, "I know I'll be down voted but", no sources or evidence, a lot of whataboutism and cherry picking.
And all of that for a long winded way of saying nothing (yes I read the whole thing, no I wouldn't not recommend you do so).
rootkode@reddit
Upvoted too. Ukraine, they are no saints.
PurpD420@reddit
No saints but they’re certainly light years better than Russia.

You’re totally incorrect, that’s clearly an SKS action.
Q-Ball7@reddit
It still blows my mind nobody's tried to adapt a 5/10-round bent steel en-bloc clip for the SKS, simply as a miniaturization of how it is on this rifle.
Nesayas1234@reddit
Wait someone tells him that the PTRS clip was originally intended for the SKS but was dropped during development.

These things are really cool. I haven't shot one, but I've seen them in person and god damn are they big. You know what's surprisingly small? The Boys AT rifle. Heavy, absolutely, but only 5ft 2in as compared to the PTRS's 6ft 11in and the PTRD's 6ft 7.5in. I hear the Solothurne is also short, but I've never seen one in person.
