Is it normal for a cleaner to use the shower?
Posted by KingSea967@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 258 comments
So this is a bit random.
Our cleaner came round today, and as I was in the living room I heard the shower on. I didn’t think much of it and assumed maybe she was using it to clean down the bath, as that makes sense I suppose.
Some time later, I come up the stairs and she heads out of the bathroom with a towel on and with wet hair. It’s her own towel. She says “I’ll just get dressed and I’ll clean the bathroom afterwards love” and I was like “no problem” because I didn’t want to be rude.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this a little odd? I wouldn’t care at all if she used the toilet without asking, but why would she use the shower without asking? Have I missed something?
HughWattmate9001@reddit
Thats very odd. Plumber/Drain Services using it sure, if they are covered in muck, I will happily let them use mine, nobody should have to work covered in my own mess lol.
Existing_Sky_7529@reddit
Literally nobody respects you shutup kiddo
OwnRepresentative634@reddit
Photo's or it didn't happen....
I call BS on this, even if she did shower why would she walk out in a towel...
Sounds like a fantasy to me, I know I have had one or two cleaners I wish had done this, then proceed to ask me if I have anything that needs polishing.
LionLucy@reddit
It's not normal but there are two scenarios where I'd let it go and not be weird about it:
Something happened to her while she was cleaning your house. Did she get very messy, or covered in potentially harmful cleaning products like bleach? So she needed a shower because of something that happened in the course of her work for you - in that case, I'd say she's absolutely entitled to have a shower
She doesn't have the means to shower at home. Is she in temporary accommodation where the facilities aren't clean or safe? Could she have run out of electric or gas and can't afford to top up? Or have a broken shower she can't afford to fix, or a landlord who won't repair things in a reasonable time? That doesn't, of course, automatically entitle her to use yours, but it's really awful not to be able to get clean. I can't imagine not being able to shower, but having to clean someone's lovely, working, pristine shower at work every day. In that case, I'd be understanding but it would have been much better if she'd asked.
Alwaysonabike@reddit
Stop making excuses for weirdo behaviour.
LionLucy@reddit
People need to have some empathy. If I trust someone enough to let them into my house and clean, I'm happy to let them use the shower, or eat some basic food, or whatever they need. All of us who are lucky enough to be relatively comfortable, could do with sharing what we have.
Alwaysonabike@reddit
No, stop making excuses. They are there to do a job. Not to be friends. Not to eat their food. Not to use their utilities. You can do what you want but I guarantee if a homeless person kicked in on your door and went to have a shower you would call the police.
LionLucy@reddit
A homeless person kicking in my door, and a cleaning lady I've previously interviewed and employed and who cleaned my house regularly, are two completely different scenarios. If I'm not scared for my safety, I'm happy to let people use my shower.
Alwaysonabike@reddit
No, you aren’t. Post your address to the local homeless shelter then.
LionLucy@reddit
That's not the same and you know it. At the moment, a friend is using our parking space for an untaxed car because it's off road, an ex neighbour is storing his window cleaning equipment in our shed, I sent the man who came to repair the boiler away with a Tupperware full of soup. We live near the airport so people we know, occasionally accompanied by a friend or partner we haven't met, regularly stay the night on our sofa because of early/late flights. It's fine. If we can't be generous with what we have, what's the point?
Alwaysonabike@reddit
Yet you don’t expect all of that to happen without being asked ? What happened was theft. Pure and simple. Stop making excuses for thieves.
LionLucy@reddit
Did she dismantle the shower and run off with the fixtures and fittings? No. She was clearly ashamed that she didn't have the basics for keeping clean, and hoped she could use OP's shower quickly without them noticing. If it was me, I'd make it clear that she didn't need to be embarrassed and she's welcome to use it if she needs to. I'm losing nothing by that.
Alwaysonabike@reddit
Again. You make shit up to suit your belief.
She used someone else’s facility without permission - that’s theft.
She used their water - theft
She probably used their soap etc - theft.
You are making up bollocks about her reasons to try and portray her as a victim of something rather than just being a thief who got caught and made excuses. Stick to the facts and stop lying about knowing the truth, because you do not.
LionLucy@reddit
Yes it's technically theft. She is technically a thief. But it's not something someone would do to make some kind of profit. In the same way as I wouldn't mind someone stealing food if they were hungry, I wouldn't mind someone stealing a shower if they couldn't wash otherwise. And if I found out they needed it, I'd offer them the shower or whatever in future and then it wouldn't be stealing anymore.
Alwaysonabike@reddit
That’s you. That’s fine. But it doesn’t make theft okay, it doesn’t make her less of a thief so stop trying to normalise theft so others you think it’s somehow acceptable.
Again, you are excusing criminality with a bleeding heart.
East happens when she then takes advantage of someone else because you normalise her behaviour and make her think it’s okay.
LionLucy@reddit
Criminality. For goodness sake, it's a woman having a shower. It genuinely worries me that there are probably lots of people in the country who think like you.
Alwaysonabike@reddit
It’s a woman thinking she can use someone else’s house just because there are weirdos like you who defend them.
Blaueveilchen@reddit
She should have asked the OP if she could shower because ...She didn't ask him and just took a shower. This is not right. She is untrustworthy.
LionLucy@reddit
I know. But being poor is embarrassing. Being unwashed is very embarrassing. I'd discreetly let her know that I didn't really expect her to use my shower in the course of her job, but if she needs to, it's fine. OP is in a fortunate position and can afford to let someone less fortunate use their shower.
Blaueveilchen@reddit
OP has to set boundaries here, otherwise she may cook herself a meal in OP's house.
Serious_Escape_5438@reddit
I had a cleaner come once and she asked if she could make herself a sandwich. On her first day. She did ask at least but it didn't make a good impression, it was as soon as she arrived because apparently she missed lunch.
Blaueveilchen@reddit
I hired a cleaning company to clean my house. They ruined the kitchen because they didn't know how to clean. Since then I rather clean the house myself.
bonkerz1888@reddit
So I just read the OP out to my mum and asked her opinion n it.
She agrees that this woman is incredibly rude and has a screw loose.
The reason I asked my mum is because she was raised in a one bed caravan with her 3 siblings with no running water, heating, or electricity for two years. I asked her if she'd ever have done something like this and her answer was, "I could never be that cheeky, it's the height of rudeness."
Puberty is no excuse for being a bit of a cunt.
LionLucy@reddit
I assume you mean poverty, because if I think back to being 14, puberty really makes arseholes of us all for a couple of years 😂
It is rude, and I wouldn't do it either. But I can still imagine myself in a scenario where I unexpectedly found myself without the means to wash properly, perhaps for weeks longer than I expected. Maybe something was coming up (job interview? Family funeral?) where I really really felt like I needed to be properly clean. It's too cold at this time of year to stand in an unheated room or caravan with a flannel and a bowl of cold water and wash myself, let alone my hair.
She absolutely should have asked, but I can imagine she might be scared to, but what harm was done, really? OP can afford to do her a favour if she needs it.
bonkerz1888@reddit
Fucking autocorrect and Swype! 😂
There are other means to wash when poor. My mum says they had to use the public toilets a few times, just washing their hair and armpits etc using the sinks.
Plenty of charities these days (and in Scotland at least) councils who offer these provisions too. Councils here are obligated to provide a bed to anyone should they present as homeless.
This woman is not desperate.. if she was she'd have apologised profusely when rumbled by OP and wouldn't have been all "alright love, just had a shower innit".
She's a fucking fruit loop (assuming OP's story is even true to begin with 😂)
Serious_Escape_5438@reddit
I'm not poor but currently have no hot water at home, and it's not the first time. She could invent an excuse. If it's an ongoing problem showering in people's houses without asking is not a sustainable solution, they won't call her back.
Imtryingforheckssake@reddit
How could it be number one when she had her own towel? Also if it was bad enough to need a shower what was the situation with her clothes.
bonkerz1888@reddit
What you've omitted from each of those two scenarios is her asking to use the shower first.
bosscockuk@reddit
I definitely think it’s no 2..
CraigHBruce@reddit
Or a badly gone wrong no 2 following a dodgy meal the night before
LionLucy@reddit
In all likelihood, yes. She was probably too embarrassed to ask, worried OP would say no, and didn't expect them to be home or notice. I'm not telling OP what they should do with their own bathroom, but if I was someone who had a nice working shower and could afford to employ a cleaner, I'd let her shower if she needed to, as long as she left the bathroom as she found it (or cleaner than she found it, as that's her job!)
quantum_splicer@reddit
What gender are you ?
What age is the cleaner ?
Genuine question I'm trying to gauge the situation
cowie71@reddit
What colour was the towel ?
quantum_splicer@reddit
How much is the house worth?
Meet-me-behind-bins@reddit
Of course it's odd. Its fucking mental.
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
I mean yeah, I agree... but why is it though.
Hear me out because even i think I'm losing it here.
But think of the cleaner's perspective- he or she is out all day scrubbing ovens and carpets etc. They're gonna be filthy.
And like OP Stated, they're gonna clean the shower anyway. They bought their own towel so one would presume their own toiletries too....
I mean I do think it's weird but what's the harm?
alrighttreacle11@reddit
Because presumably they being paid for the hour so while they in the shower they're not working, because it's weird to have a shower in someone's house and not ask them first, it's also weird to have someone who works for you naked in your house, even if it is in the shower, it's all just very odd I wouldn't like it at all
Regular-Credit203@reddit
but why is it weird to take a shower but not a shit? if you ask to take a shit that would be weird, but you could argue that would be much more intrusive than a quick shower.
kwnofprocrastination@reddit
Because if you’re taking a shit in someone else’s house it’s usually because you don’t really have a better option.
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
I mean that's a separate note altogether. I hadn't even considered the time theft aspect lol.
Again I get it's weird. I'd be pissed off too. I was just arguing a dofferent perspective.
Boundaries are important and that's obv a breach of them.
bonkerz1888@reddit
Would you invite the bin lorry men in for a shower in your gaffe once they've emptied your wheelie bin?
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
I mean.... would I invite them to be in the bathroom in the first place?
I get your point, I totally do. I'm just saying, with a moments reflection, it does seem a bit of a daft thing to be worried about.
Again. I think it's weird af too. I wouldn't dream of showering in someone else's house if they hadn't offered it to me.
In hindsight, that's the point. Someone over stepping a boundary.
bonkerz1888@reddit
I don't think it's daft to be worried about at all.
If she's comfortable enough helping herself to a shower, then what else is she up to when you aren't there?
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
I mean that's the big thing with boundaries. If someone's willing to over step one who knows what else they're doing?
Sniffing your pillows? Picking the soles of your shoes?
Helping themselves to your hobnobs? shudder
I'm joking now but I've had so many responses to something that was a flippant response.
A moments thought shows there's no other side to this argument, whichever way I phrased it.
bonkerz1888@reddit
Aye I'm bored and getting to stay off the drink mate.
It's no easy.
Fucking Children in Need ruining Friday night telly isn't helping.
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
Sober and on reddit!? You're playing it on hard mode.
Make a comment on a mundane post like I did lol.
It's all I cam do to keep replies sensible.
Regular-Credit203@reddit
If he offered to clean the place yeah maybe
robbeech@reddit
No. But I’d not have an issue if they put some rubbish in my bin and then emptied it into the lorry.
Even-Presentation@reddit
🤣this thread is magical
bonkerz1888@reddit
Aye coz that is comparable to getting naked, using your water and/or electricity while presumably helping themselves to your soap and shampoo.. all without asking.
Using someone else's shower without permission is vastly more intrusive than throwing an empty wrapper in a wheelie bin 😂
Tabs_Open@reddit
I've worked as a cleaner, allow me to propose another insane yet sensible thing to do. The cleaner removes all their clothes and put them on a quick wash and dry cycle before getting dressed again and changing the duvet covers in the bedrooms. Grubby clothes and fresh white sheets don't mix well.
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
Again. I know it's weird. I wish, like I often do, I'd postulated this internally lol.
Tabs_Open@reddit
No. I enjoyed your comment. Thanks for putting it out there. Stay weird 😄
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
You're a star.
Can you bring a towel down when you've got a sec?
Tabs_Open@reddit
Haha no I enjoyed your comment. Thanks for putting it out there 😄
nj-rose@reddit
The weird parts are that she didn't ask first a day that she came out in a towel. She clearly lacks any kind of normal boundaries so I'd be looking for a new cleaner tbh. I can't be arsed with weirdos.
Previous_Kale_4508@reddit
Is there a water meter involved? Is there a water heater involved using electricity?
He/she might be getting paid for their time to do the cleaning, but are they also being subsidised for water and electricity?
Just musing in the open. 🤔
enwda@reddit
I may be wrong but around me you pay a cleaner by the hour. Now if some of that time is going to the cleaner preening using my hot water/shampoo/conditioner/soap and they still charging me full price when it could have been maybe 30mins less time without the shower then I very much do have a problem.
Serious_Escape_5438@reddit
I wouldn't mind if someone asked occasionally, like maybe they have plumbing issues and no hot water at home (my current situation!) or have to be somewhere afterwards and don't want to go covered in sweat and dust. But I'd expect them to ask and wouldn't want it to be regular during the time they're being paid to work.
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
Yeah, as o responded to other people the obvious dawned on me.
Its boundaries and that cleaner over stepped them.
MisterrTickle@reddit
Your shower is a very private space. Its for your families use only and that of your guests. You're not paying the cleaner to take a shower or to clean up their own mess. If they'd arranged something first.
voluotuousaardvark@reddit
I absolutely agree! I'm just saying... it definitely has a bit of a justifiable side.

I second this, and I actually AM mental (months on locked wards to save me from my own hand, and such), have also done house cleaning, and have never even thought of bathing in a client's house.
Scumbaggio1845@reddit
The ‘save me from my own hand’ conjured a mental image of compulsive masturbation
HonkyBoo@reddit
I’m yet to save myself then at this point

You need to contact the person(s)/company, not AskUK.
AskUK is not the customer service helpline of any company or organisation in the UK and we will remove submissions that ask questions that the relevant organisation or person will be able to help with or provide an answer to. AskUK cannot be used because you have been unable to or failed to contact the organisation/subject. And especially not if you're trying to use AskUK because you will think it will be quicker than contacting the subject.
The first step of any issue is to communicate with the people involved. You should contact the subject through all available methods, including phone, e-mail, social media, and use their complaints process (e.g., using a service like Resolver). In the event this is a person, talk to them. Reasonably AskUK'ers do not know what people closer to you may be thinking.
If you are having trouble with a company, AskUK cannot help you resolve your dispute with an organisation and looking for "similar experiences" will still not resolve your query with them either.
We primarily remove these because;
We get too many posts asking things like "Will Evri deliver my parcel?"
We wish to avoid being a focus group for interpersonal situations AskUK cannot definitively answer like "Why did my mother abandon us so young?".
New_Expectations5808@reddit
Yes, that is hugely odd. Unless you live in a porno.

Ok hear me out…. The Truman Show, but he lives in a porno
the_Athereon@reddit
That exists.
People (usually couples or groups of x amount of men for x amount of women) do get paid to have cameras installed in every room of their house and live streamed to porn sites 24/7. You might get 30 mins of "porno material" per week if you're lucky. But they're popular enough the rest of the time they they still make a decent profit

If they work as part of an agency or cleaning business, report them now, that's grounds for immediate dismissal.
If they're freelance. Report them still. Just this time all over their social media. Had you walked in on them nude, this would be grounds for sexual harassment.
Icy-Revolution1706@reddit
Of course it's completely unacceptable, but also, where the fuck was she going in her towel? Did she go into a bedroom to get dressed? Wtf?
hez9123@reddit
She may likely be sofa surfing or sleeping rough. She took a liberty, but you most likely did her the biggest favour of her week in allowing her to feel human again. You caught her and she styled it out. Be nice to her is me view.

This though is odder, she came out of the bathroom with a towel around her? Where was she planning to get dressed? Even if this had been prearranged with your partner if perhaps her water was off, surely she’d get dressed in the bathroom.
Sounds like a Carry On movie
PrestigiousTest6700@reddit
Yes exactly. Where was she walking to get dressed. Did she previously clean something awful and needed to shower at her next clean. There are so many unanswered questions.
As a dog walker we don’t usually get toilet breaks, similar to delivery drivers most my customers leave a biscuit or say if we can use the toilet. I wouldn’t then whip off all my clothes after walking a cockerpoo and take liberties.

Tell her its over stepping the boundaries of what's appropriate for an employee/employer relationship. That using your hot water fir her personal use whilst on paid time is wrong. And that the shower is a private and personal space. So if you can watch next time, you'll say no more about it.

I made them a huge takeaway cocktail and wished them well on their way out, bedtime now. Later learned that the gf was a sex worker with a crack addiction. Nothing against sex workers, but … Didn’t go so well for my neighbour.
If you have a good relationship with your cleaner, maybe ask if she is in need of some support right now? And if so, provide assistance to contact local social services who can help?
Dense_Inflation7126@reddit
Did she clean the shower after she used it?
pm_me_your_amphibian@reddit
Mate have you got nothing better to do on a Friday night than make up stories for Reddit? Can I recommend r/hobbies
animalwitch@reddit
I'd have a conversation with her about it. Something like :
"Hey, I noticed you used our shower the other day - that was a bit weird. Was everything okay?"
Don't push for information, but maybe say "could you just let me know next time please" or "please don't do it again"
DeapVally@reddit
Weird, but if she's gonna clean the bathroom anyway, then whatever I guess 🤷 I wouldn't make a big deal of it.
noclueXD_@reddit
i mean they most likely don’t have facilities at home so i wouldn’t mind as long as they clean it afterwards or leave it even cleaner
EvilTaffyapple@reddit
Things that never happened: the post
Rough-Sprinkles2343@reddit
Ah come on dude she was basically asking to have sex. How did you miss that
Blaueveilchen@reddit
You don't know this.
Many_Income_2212@reddit
With wet hair?
Cremilyyy@reddit
With wet everything
Significant_Hurry542@reddit
About this "cleaner" ..... Any chance you still live with your parents
Moomahmahiki@reddit
Where did she go when she came out of the bathroom?
Kistelek@reddit
I think I’ve seen this video. Does she go on to get stuck in the dryer?
bonkerz1888@reddit
Ahahahaha, unless she's tidy I'd be telling her to get to fuck and would be on the phone to her employer immediately (assuming she's no self employed).
Scumbaggio1845@reddit
For a cleaner? Very odd
For a ‘bangmaid’ totally reasonable
Skunkmonkey82@reddit

I-like-IT-Things@reddit
Fucking what?
curly-catlady80@reddit
This is hilarious. And so British with the response!! Hahaha
faythlass@reddit
To be honest, I often clean the shower whilst getting one. Saves time and money. Perhaps she's quite skint lol
jaBroniest@reddit
Your cleaner, used you shower. She took a shower. In your home. Absolutely bam pots mate! If I had a friend over and they took a shower without permission that would be weird as. But your cleaner? Fuck me.
Neo-Riamu@reddit
Have you forgotten what your wife looks like?
Also I do not think she would appreciate being called the cleaner lmao 🤣
pajamakitten@reddit
It is very odd to use another person's shower without asking. Her being a cleaner is irrelevant.
Individual-Titty780@reddit
I usually skip that part
kifflington@reddit
She needs sacked. If she's pushing boundaries this hard that you can see, she'll be doing other shit that you can't see. I would 100% not want this person in my home.
Funky_monkey2026@reddit
VERY strange! Hope you don't pay her by the hour.
CheekyDabs@reddit
Lmfao this sounds like a Seinfeld episode 🤣
whoops53@reddit
You pay her to clean your house, not use the facilities! Ask her not to do it again.
Blaueveilchen@reddit
She didn't ask the OP if she could have a shower. She just took a shower. She is not trustworthy. I would throw her ... out.
ChieckeTiotewasace@reddit
Psycho alert mate.
arsecloon@reddit
I think she wants to touch your penis
WrestlingFan95@reddit
Was she being sexually suggestive, perhaps? Seems her timing coming out the shower was a little coincidental!
rotating_pebble@reddit
Unbelievable. It never ceases to amaze me what maids think they can get away with. This is what we call ‘testing the boundaries’ and how amenable you are. You’ve already made a mistake in not cutting out this behaviour; next they will gravitate to theft. My wife and myself have unfortunately been privy to the latter! You have to be careful having low earners inside your home.
EndPsychological2541@reddit
Did you fall asleep watching porn again?
BabaYagasDopple@reddit
She trying to seduce you?
whitehall12345@reddit
Op is a troll. Quick post history check.
Glen1888@reddit
Yes bit weird I wouldn’t mind tho but could of asked first Is she paid by the hour ? Getting paid to wash her own hair Do you have a lock on the bathroom door ? You could of walked in as she was washing her hair On second thoughts can I get the number of your cleaner lol
whatever0813@reddit
Yes that’s odd, the only showers I have ever taken at work were involuntary ( happens to me constantly when there is a fixed and a non fixed shower head, please tell me I’m not the only one) did she charge for the shower time?
Puzzled_Caregiver_46@reddit
Isn't this post what they call "bait"?
seven-cents@reddit
She didn't ask first? That's psycho behaviour!
What's next? She'll bring her own eggs and cook lunch in your kitchen?
CR2010@reddit
I've seen this porn video before...
Ok_Celery4463@reddit
She wants you to fuck her. She will make this a habit but next time drop the towel
Hetty-Hedgerow@reddit
Absolutely not normal. Come in, clean, go home.
The only 'hospitality' on offer is a short polite exchange of pleasantries and a glass of water.
The only excuse for this would be their water or heating is off at home or they're homeless. But they should at the very least ask.
dingo_deano@reddit
I would have watched
Timely_Egg_6827@reddit
How mucky was the rest of your house?
WarWonderful593@reddit
How mucky was the cleaner?
Timely_Egg_6827@reddit
That too. Happy cake day.
guardngnome@reddit
Where was she heading?
pritsey@reddit
This is what I immediately thought....heading out the shower....to your bedroom? Is there a missing part of this story where the cleaner performs other duties? :-D
KeelsTyne@reddit
It’s ok mate, I went round to check the gas meter and did a massive shit in the upstairs bog.
theotherquantumjim@reddit
Apparently there is no upstairs big so it sounds like you might have christened his favourite vase
PeevedValentine@reddit
Classic British Gas move!
HirsuteHacker@reddit
Hahaha I'd be fucking stunned if I had a cleaner and they were just taking showers without even asking
Prestigious_Seat_680@reddit
What the heck?!?!? Unacceptable in my opinion.
Late_Manufacturer157@reddit
Yeah it’s weird. Would the plumber come in and use your shower? After he’s fixed it of course.
Downtown_Tale_2018@reddit
Were you paying her too shower?
PoppySkyPineapple@reddit
That’s so weird… she should at least ask first…
Significant_Tower_84@reddit
Weird yes, and her bringing towels with her would suggest she planned it, I can only think she may have an issue with showering at home so took the opportunity but was too embarrassed to ask. Maybe she wasn't expecting you to be home?
kwakimaki@reddit
What's odder is that you're having to ask if this is odd behaviour.
Yes. Yes it is.
caractacusbritannica@reddit
This is isn’t real. This is so mental.
Apathy_Cupcake@reddit
In most westernized cultures this is odd. However in some cultures (im thinking of my personal experience in Africa), it is not unusual or unheard of. Our housekeeper would routinely use our facilities while we were out to wash up/shower. A big reason for this is that she did not have similar easy access at her home to do this. She was paid for the work she performed, not by the hour. Her work was great, and she was a very sweet and kind person. We did not mind that she used our facilities, especially because she was cleaning them in the first place. She was also respectful to bathe when it was assumed we would be out of the house for a period of time so it didn't interfere with us using the facilities.
Your situation could be completely different, I am only providing my personal experience.
Forum_Lurker42@reddit
Definitely seems like something from the hub
dustbin-account@reddit
As someone who has worked as a cleaner, I can't say I would ever do this, especially not without permission. I'm almost jealous of her confidence to be honest.
Chunderdragon86@reddit
You must have averynice shower they didn't accidentally showertherheadin tap confusion did they idosllthe timcleaning thebath usually justfroeashingyhe taps then I'm livid thati m soaked.

Would have been funny if she’d run a big bubble bath for herself. Using your loofah too
frogfoot420@reddit
Walk in and she's got a glass of red whilst the duck floats around.
Picticious@reddit
I’m a cleaner.
It’s absolutely fucking nuts.
The brass neck on it!
The audacity on this cunt!
😂😂😂😂
kittycatnala@reddit
It’s more than odd. It’s crazy crazy!! I do cleaning and I rarely use anyone’s toilet never mind have a shower! WTF 😂😂
Dru2021@reddit
This is just humble bragging isn’t it?
lazymom_@reddit
I always clean the shower while having a shower. Otherwise I get my clothes drenched rinsing the tiles off.
Maybe she's just really getting stuck into a thorough job on your grouting and didn't want to get her clothes soaked.
omgbaobunstho@reddit
Are you paying her to shower? No!
Old_Highlight7720@reddit
Worst creative writing submission ever.
Previous-Oil-6525@reddit
A little bit odd!.. it's very very odd!
You say she came out in a towel? Where did she get dressed? Your bedroom? I would be gobsmacked!
jeremyascot@reddit
The cleaner is his partner / girlfriend
It’s a joke
robster9090@reddit
You can’t be seriously asking and thinking is is remotely normal
zzkj@reddit
If it happens again turn the hot water off.
hodgey66@reddit
Unless your house was so dirty she deemed it necessary to wash herself?
Either that or she’s fucking mental
skippygo@reddit
Mad behaviour. My first thought is maybe she's homeless or at least not able to get regular access to a shower for some other reason, and took the ask for forgiveness not permission approach rather than risk being denied a shower?
wildOldcheesecake@reddit
Come on OP, you know it is.
nacnud_uk@reddit
That's not odd, that's fecked in the head. And no self-awareness to be emabarssed about out. Get them gone. What else are they up to?
You didn't "want to be rude"? Really? How is it rude to ask why the fuck someone was just randomly using your shower? Fuck that. It's being rude to yourself, not not ask. :/
Patryk-Swaze@reddit
If they ask and clean up after themselves then I don't mind. You will be surprised what they do when you not around.
Legitimate_Side5776@reddit
Did she use your towels? Lmao
Lessarocks@reddit
I would have politely asked why she was showering in my home. This is totally weird. It may be that she’s worked out she can save money on energy and water bills by using other people’s. Or she may have a broken shower at home - although I’d expect her to mention that if it was the case.
Skinsarelli@reddit
She’s having a paid shower! I’ll poo on company time, but a shower?
Yoguls@reddit
Boss makes a penny, I make a dime. That's why I poop on company time
Exact-Put-6961@reddit
She is signalling availability for more than just cleaning.
Accurate_Prompt_8800@reddit
Weird. Why would she use your shower, without asking you prior?
AvinItLarge123@reddit
