Same here brother. I did school, I’m about to finish my training, I got eastern regional, but at .55cpm, was told average 1200-1500 per week average. Each week you accumulate a day off. I’m in Fl so it could be different depending location. Way I’m looking at it is, first year or two, gotta grind, then doors will open up. Good luck out there man

Congrats bro, i just finished day 1 orientation.. i think theyll let me know tomorrow if im hired or not.. but the .80cpm is legit.. for north eastern regional.. and .55cpm for eastern regional.. im kinda thinking about doing the eastern for warmer weather and less traffic routes.. but are you from florida?? And thanks bro.. in ready to get the experience honestly i dnt mind being in the truck for how ever long it takes me.. i need minimum 6 months to be able to apply to any truck company that has daily home schedule anyways.. hows swift training so far?

Get it in writing

You will never get the miles to make that 1700. Swift will tell you anything to get you in the door and they will ruin your career by putting every little beginner mistake you make on your DAC and employment history record.
celtics1up@reddit
Nah. They're not paying 80cpm. To a noob. Ask for hard number based on the account.
Additional_Low7070@reddit
Sounds like regional, I was eastern regional with swift. 10-14 days out 2 days home time at .55 cents a mile. Yeah idk dedicated accounts were pulling the numbers you talking about and they want at least 6 months experience before they put you on dedicated.
Imaginativested@reddit
80cpm at swift would almost have to be team split pay but Ive never worked there so that is just my guess.
Kafkabest@reddit
They are exaggerating based on technicalities.
Swift's CPM is a sliding scale. 80 cpm is for like, a 20 mile drive. Typical load will be closer to 45.
You will not make 1700 a week as a rookie.

Read the offer letter carefully. It’s no different than going to a car dealership and then telling you what you wanna hear then you get the contract and they added shit in there.

I mean for a rookie i hope i can atleast make 1200 a week at minimum.. because living in a truck 2 weeks away from home just to get 2 days off is a little crazy.. but for the experience to land something better i guess i gotta eat dirt
12InchPickle@reddit
Usually yes. But not always. Also I wouldn’t just give in and eat that dirt if they’re bending you over. Read the fine print.

Got you.. what you think i should look out for? Jobs are hard to get these days.. and is kinda scary.. if you dont have experience i fill like in situations like this they take advantage of
Odd-Improvement-2135@reddit
You better read the fine print because that math ain't mathing!

Lol i know man.. sounds too good to be true.. 2 weeks on the road and 2 days off
