I don’t think she’s a “Russian asset” in the sense that she’s in communication with the Russian government or anything. It’s pretty clear, however that the Russian government would prefer America be governed by people who are staunch non-interventionists. They want America led by people who don’t care about Russian imperialism in Eastern Europe.

Does this make Tulsi a traitor to her country? Not at all. Non-interventionism sounds nice, but I can’t get behind blindly being uninterested in anything that happens globally. My view is that this is an area that requires nuance and that there are situations in which the US should use its influence to articulate a vision of the world that is beneficial to us.

I actually think non-interventionism in Ukraine makes us less secure and our current interventionism in Israel makes us less secure.

The post I was replying to literally says this makes it more believable that she is a Russian asset. Your argument is essentially “Russians like vodka, so anybody who likes vodka, maybe is a little bit suspicious “.

Sure, her positions could be favored by Russia. But I’m pretty sure more than half our country agrees with her. So who cares if Russia also likes it?

And why are you here, if you so strongly disagree with her on this topic, which is her defining political view?
