in the EU, many big shops says 07-01-2025
InconspicuousRadish@reddit
This will greatly vary based on your location. The US market seems better supplied in this regard. Europe and Oceania looks a lot worse.
wpm@reddit
Yeah I can walk down the street and pick one up at Microcenter.
Bluedemonde@reddit
Pick one up for me and I’ll send you the money. 🫡
My MC is 2-3 hour round trip
babbum@reddit
My MC is a 7 hour round trip :’(
Pretend_Material_113@reddit
You all have a MC? : ( here in WA
Holiday_Block_7629@reddit
Best buy right now has it
INITMalcanis@reddit
US is usually favoured anyway but AMD will be getting stock imported before there's any question of tariffs
KingSlayer05@reddit
You think so? This is my main worry, getting one before the Donald lets loose of his tariffs
INITMalcanis@reddit
Well if you know - or have good reason to believe - that heavy import tariffs are coming then it makes sense to get as much product as possible in through the door before they start being applied.
KingSlayer05@reddit
Well, I managed to place an order for one on Amazon that is expected January (Im sure that'll change)
Let's hope I don't get cancelled on haha
Zestyclose-Produce42@reddit
This will greatly vary based on your location: if you're not nearby a Microcenter, you're not going to make it.
UnsaltedCashew36@reddit
All Canadian stores still in back-order. There aren't many retailers left, Amazon, Bestbuy, Newegg, CanadaComputers, MemoryExpress...
eyes-are-fading-blue@reddit
US market is always better supplied.
BlazinAzn38@reddit
And AMD will shift available inventory to the US prior to tariffs
jive01@reddit
They had 4 left at Microcenter in Deluth GA. Had a friend who works nearby scoop it up for me! Creative tactics.
lez_m8@reddit
NZ most retailers say December 20th-January
Ninjawithagun@reddit
Late December? Nope. Try mode January.
Jesper1988@reddit
Any in stock in the EU?
Holiday_Block_7629@reddit
9800X3D is in stock at bestbuy
RawDawg1985@reddit
I just got one! YIPPEEE!
Holiday_Block_7629@reddit
Nice
xPropptimus@reddit
Microcenter in Cambridge MA had ~50 left on Saturday
drnick5@reddit
The stock numbers seem to be a bit misleading... a friend went up there for an unrelated reason on Saturday, I asked him to pick one up for me. (stock showed like 10 left online) He said they were out of stock when he got there....
I checked Sunday (the day after) and it shows they had 7 left. I mean, maybe people ordered them online and didn't pick them up?
I live exactly an hour away... so I debated the 2 hour round trip ride, but figured I'd wait to see if either of my orders got filled. Last night I got an email from B&H that my order shipped, will arrive Nov 13th.
xPropptimus@reddit
Yeah the online stock numbers weren’t right. I saw they had like 25 in stock online so I took a chance and went Saturday, got there around 12.
I got one without an online order and the employee checked the stock quantities in front of me. Looked like they had about 100 total but about 50 unreserved in stock (or I misread the screen). Maybe they set several aside for their mobo combo too.
PSA- I had to get a temporary slower RAM kit for the gigabyte x870e aorus pro ice to post. It did not like gskill c34 ddr5-7200 without a bios update.
damien09@reddit
Is 7200 better? From what I have seen running 1:1 above 6400 is pretty rare let alone 7200. Unless the speed outweighs the 1:1/2 penalty?
xPropptimus@reddit
I haven’t messed with UCLK+MCLK or tuning so I can’t speak to that. honestly probably not worth the price difference right now. A reputable/high quality brand 6400 c32 set with EXPO is probably fine if you aren’t manually tuning your RAM. Even at 8000+ the difference is probably minimal
damien09@reddit
Not to mention 8000 probably won't work on every board from what I saw in hardware unboxed x870/x870e line up review.
6400 may even be pushing it if you don't manually tune as anything above 6000 I believe defaults to 1:1/2 which causes a penalty in latency. 6000 cl30 or cl28 sets is really what I'd recommend to most who just want to click expo. 6200 and 6400 may work in 1:1 mode but you have to make sure and enable it and then stress test.
beanbradley@reddit
I used to work at the Cambridge location as a salesperson. They had a huge amount of inventory issues, and there were countless times where I've had a customer come in to buy something because the website said it was in stock, only for me to search the entire store and not find it. Not surprised they're having trouble with this launch.
Ernisx@reddit
Bios flashback works without the ram or cpu installed
dustersixsix@reddit
Yeah, you can't always trust the in stock numbers there. Sometimes the web site for Microcenter will show in stock (insert whatever number here) but go there and the shelf is empty.
I know this for sure at my state's only MC as I checked the site before driving down only to see an empty display. The staff checked the site and number in store said the were in stock. Then they checked the orders waiting pickup, and there they were.
MC site doesn't have online payments for orders. Its only a reservation (3 day hold) and pay in store. I've learned to "checkout" everything I want and wait for the email/text saying order is ready. Only then are your assured of getting what you want.
Brilliant-Figure4585@reddit
Dont get this CPU. Ryzen 9 9 9950x3d is in the pipeline and its a lot faster than 9800x3d. Its coming out early next year. I gat i9 12900k and its hood enough to last until 2026 thats when Zen 6 comes out. If you got decent pc dont waste your money because alot of these articles are marketing scheme. Also don't buy from scalpers even if you hot extra money to spend. If your cpu fails you bought it from some dufus and not from authorized retailer.
whatthetoken@reddit
Gamers Nexus asked AMD about restocking. They were told that it's not this bad and that they're restocking regularly
damien09@reddit
Where are they restocking regularly at? Microcenter? I have not seen much anywhere else.
hallownine@reddit
Amazon got a shit ton of stock and as far as I know, it's still in stock. It came in stock at 11AM EST and I was able to buy mine after 4PM and it had a delivery date of thursday.
Edesma_Luhh@reddit
Shipped by Amazon, or by someone else?
hallownine@reddit
Shipped and fulfilled by Amazon, i checked just to make sure before adding to cart.
damien09@reddit
Snagged one before then went out of stock when they dropped today but mine is delivery date January lol.
hallownine@reddit
Oof probably better off waiting to see if more come in at b&h or antonline. They are supposed to restock at least once a week.
dragonslayer137@reddit
Don't buy from b&h they are reselling broken used tech as new.
hallownine@reddit
Well F me boss I bought a motherboard and ssd from them.
damien09@reddit
I will keep it as an order as at least I know it means I have one secured. And it's possible once all the people trying to scalp it gets close to the end of holiday return window the shipping dates may go up.
Austin304@reddit
I also managed to secure one on Amazon today and my delivery is also end of January but that feels like a placeholder to me
damien09@reddit
For me even if it's not. I'd rather have January then keep chasing stock and checking for it. Gives me flash backs to the 30 series dark days lol.
Austin304@reddit
Yeah I know the feeling. I was checking every 3-4 hours lol
shmed@reddit
Amazon very often put those crazy estimated dates and then end up shipping it in a few days instead.
Strazdas1@reddit
Meanwhile local retailers here told me that they dont have any because AMD hasnt sent them any yet.
Fishydeals@reddit
Meh. In germany amazon resellers want 815€ and it‘s not in stock at amazon directly. My delivery date got pushed to december 28th and I preordered on launch day.
Zestyclose-Produce42@reddit
I don't believe it. This is a butchered launch and influencers can't afford to be negative about stuff online. Reality is no one has it. And "sources" telling big YouTube guys about stuff does not reverse the failure on AMD's side to prepare this launch properly and provide the necessary supply.
It's mind-boggling to see how the responsibility is now magically back to the consumer's patience when there is an entire distribution supply chain that has blatantly failed to achieve its one and only professional goal: make the product available. It's not rocket science, really. Get the orange boxes from point A to point B, process documentation, sell.
This feels like supply has been artificially reduced in order to increase prices. You don't need me to draw you a graph to visualize the idea
Tuna-Fish2@reddit
But which markets?
If I was running AMD, I would be shipping most of my stock into the US as long as I can do that before the tariffs come up.
PastaPandaSimon@reddit
Silly question, but why is there so much talk about tariffs that nobody would be paying on CPUs, which do not use parts made in China?
Aggrokid@reddit
Do you have a source?
On my AMD CPU box: “AMD processors are diffused and/or made in one or more of the following countries and/or regions: USA, Germany, Singapore, China, Malaysia, or Taiwan.”
Also need to know if China components are used in BoM, or China is any part of the supply chain.
Strazdas1@reddit
Because americans are currently in a moral panic and it bleeds even into technical subreddits.
Dr_Icchan@reddit
AMD doesn't pay the tariffs, retailers do. AMD can get the same price for their CPu in Europe, if Americans don't want to pay extra
Tuna-Fish2@reddit
But it would potentially hurt demand, because Intel would have to pay less tariff, so in relative terms AMD CPUs become a worse buy.
Dr_Icchan@reddit
it would hurt demand in the US, plenty of buyers elsewhere in the world.
Richie_jordan@reddit
Exactly like usual Americans forget they're not the only country on earth.
umcpu@reddit
This comment chain was about US tariffs. Are you lost?
Strazdas1@reddit
This comment chain was about AMD restocking retailers. Are you lost?
Deep90@reddit
Which is why they would want to satisfy American demand first. Because it has a deadline.
CANT_BEAT_PINWHEEL@reddit
Which is why he is saying you would prioritize shipping to the US for the two months demand is guaranteed to still be high there. After tariffs they can prioritize other markets
damien09@reddit
Intel's latest chips also come out of tsmc. So unless they get some magical tariff exception they would be hit also.
Strazdas1@reddit
While true, their next chip will be on Intel nodes again.
sautdepage@reddit
No worries, intel price/perf is much more than 10-15% worse.
vebski@reddit
If customers have to pay higher prices -> they will buy less -> stores will buy less stock from AMD -> AMD makes less money or has to lower the prices.
KingWizard37@reddit
Yeah, my backorder just got converted to an order today and is being packaged. Seems like they're getting new stock in still.
Eclipsed830@reddit
Sold out here in Taiwan too. Was going to build a new PC if I could buy one. Lol
ilee7@reddit
I'm currently travelling in Taiwan, was hoping to get the 9800x3d too but they were only offering full builds which you might be interested in.
Do you know if there's a way to check stock for local stores?
Nitrosafiphire@reddit
I'd be more worried about the 7900xtx being basically out of stock. GPU is going to a legend.
Alex_Greene@reddit
9800X3D rereleased on Newegg for shipping between November 14th and November 19th for about 15 seconds before going out of stock again. Good god
Tahlmut@reddit
Yeah, I tried to snag one but it requested card number a 2nd time for security (slowing me down) and when I clicked to purchase it said out of stock again. Thankfully, I did snag an order on Amazon, so that's locked in place. Downside is that I'm seeing January 25 to 26th for delivery date.
Alex_Greene@reddit
I saw the notification on my phone (while in bed) and made the fatal mistake of walking to my computer 10 feet away to buy it. It may as well have been a week in PC component market time.
No_Insurance2341@reddit
where can i set up notifications for restocks?
Alex_Greene@reddit
Newegg has an auto-notify feature.
No_Insurance2341@reddit
i actually got this app called “hotstock”, it checks every major website every minute and can notify if it’s in stock. it’s pretty neat, it told me newegg restocked earlier so i went and bought one 🙏
hallownine@reddit
Was in stock on Amazon today for like 6 hours, might still not be sold out.
KaranSlay@reddit
So nobody finds the pricing extreme? In the netherlands this cpu is priced exactly 600 eu, thats way overboard
Humorless_Snake@reddit
Could've gotten a 7800x3d for around €360 for almost an entire year, no point crying about value now.
Strazdas1@reddit
For literally the best CPU possible in majority of workloads? No that does not sound extreme.
hallownine@reddit
Get a 9700X
ConsistencyWelder@reddit
That's a scalper price though. The official price is lower, but we won't be seeing that for at least until the 9950X3D and 9900X3D are launched early next year.
Spiritual_Subject691@reddit
In Germany (Europe), the situation is EXTREMELY BAD. When it launched, it was sold out in less than 37 minutes at all online retailers. Today checked again and the earliest estimate for re-stock is mid January 2025.
From reading the comments, in the US it seems like the supply was probably 50x to 100x times that of Europe. Sources claimed Germany was supplied with only 1000 CPUs in total.
Zestyclose-Produce42@reddit
Yep. I think the world has stopped giving a shit about EU in general. So many things I had to overpay to get shipped from overseas: Antec Flux Pro (none in EU), Lian Li Edge PSU (only some models, sometimes), X870E Nova Wifi (had to overpay)... For the 9800x3D, people will not even care. And because since US people are louder ("noT a PApeR LaUNch", "JuST geT iT at A mIcRoCEnteR") we'll just never get proper supply.
I have heard people saying that MindFactory had "a lot of supply because they posted a photo of 3 full boxes on Twitter". 3 boxes? Shit is ridiculous. And once again, because of America exceptionalism it's hard to even voice your opinion online. In Italy it didn't even ship at all.
Spiritual_Subject691@reddit
It is looking bleak indeed.
Visible-Impact1259@reddit
My worry is that I won’t get one until the tariffs are in place. Then shit will go up in price.
drnick5@reddit
I think this "shortage" is being a bit overblown.... Steve from Gamers Nexus said their contact at AMD assured them they'd be shipping more CPU's every week.
Obviously we don't any specific numbers, but it doesn't seem like a "paper launch" or even anything close to the Nvidia GPU shortage a few years ago. I think we just saw a LOT of pent up demand since there hasn't been a "good" CPU launched since the 7800x3d. So Day 1 was flooded with orders, but give it a few weeks and we'll see these in stock most everywhere.
Hold the line, don't pay any scalers prices!
Zestyclose-Produce42@reddit
I think this "shortage" is being a bit overblown... one American YouTuber said that someone they know said that they will eventually do something.
drnick5@reddit
Lol, ok buddy. I'd bet you $1 this "shortage" is over in a few weeks.
My 9800x3d arrived today from B&H. The 2nd one I ordered from Amazon (that I tried to cancel) just told me it shipped.
Zestyclose-Produce42@reddit
I hope so
damien09@reddit
Worst part of the scalpers is they are all protected by holiday returns
drnick5@reddit
Yup! I'll admit, I placed 2 orders (Woke up early to order form Newegg but missed it, got an order in at Amazon with a Nov 22nd delivery date....then a preorder a B&H, which just shipped out)
If the B&H one gets to me tomorrow as it says, I'll cancel the Amazon order (which still doesn't have a ship date...) and hopefully that frees it up for someone else to snag.
damien09@reddit
I was dumb saw the bundles on Newegg and had a pause for a second work pulled me away. And now I'm stuck waiting for a restock I actually manage to catch lol
drnick5@reddit
UGH. This pissed me off to high hell. As the CPU's were out of stock the entire time I looked (from around 8:40am EST, til say 9:30ish) THEN a little before 10am EST, I notice the CPU page now shows "COMBOS AVAILABLE". WTF?! I check, sure enough there are combos with boards and RAM available (I already have both, just need the CPU) This is the same shit they pulled with GPU's.
I'm the buyer for my company, and we spend a decent amount of money with Newegg. I usually spread it out between Newegg, Amazon and B&H. But now, I'm going to do everything I can to stop buying from Newegg entirely. Fuck that company.
xBloodcrazed@reddit
I wonder what happens if the 9900 and 9950 x3d actually turn out good? Will the used market be flooded by 9800x3d the whales don't want anymore.
account312@reddit
Even among people buying 9800x3d now, the portion who will immediately upgrade is probably rather small.
KingWizard37@reddit
Yeah, I have a 9800X3D on the way and the only thing I plan on switching/adding to my computer in the next 5-6 years is a different GPU (might wait for the 6XXX series nvidia GPU's but that depends on pricing and availability of the 5080s and 5090s) and adding more storage.
napoleonryanite@reddit
I got a 9800x3d and I'll upgrade if the 9900/9950 are better, but only if it doesn't involve any manual process wrangling.
Violetmars@reddit
Me too, if it has the dual ccd stuff im out
UnsaltedCashew36@reddit
Correct me if I'm wrong, but all the 16-core cpus have the dual issue similar to the 7950x3d. Hopefully 9950x3d changes that trend but it's going to be priced much higher for the 16 cores.
Strazdas1@reddit
No because of single-CCD superiority in gaming workloads.
Top3879@reddit
There's maybe a handful of people who buy a 9800X3D now and upgrade to 9950X3D in a few months.
Berzerker7@reddit
nanonan@reddit
The first seems likely, the second not so likely if you are wanting a bargain. Take the 5800X3D, it's used price is basically the same as a new 5700X3D.
heikkiiii@reddit
Whales are people who spend a lot of time and money on video game, not people who spend money to buy hardware.
INITMalcanis@reddit
"Flooded" might be overstating it a bit, but there's definitely a possibility of some bargains
Neumayer23@reddit
In Europe. Was refreshing the amd.com website like crazy when it finally appeared, tried to place an order but before I could it was OOS. 10-15 minutes later it's listed as in stock again, I try again and this time my order goes through, I pay through Paypal and money gets taken from my account. I figured I was in the clear.
The day after around lunchtime, I receive a mail saying they had cancelled my order. Couple days later, I find another for sale on a local listing site for 590 euros. Everything checks out, the guy has proof of purchase and while it was being sold over MSRP it was low enough for me not to care. I buy it, then get in touch with the guy the day after since there was no answer fro him and ask if he's got all the info needed to ship it.
He replies 10 minutes later, saying that the price went up since he listed, and now he wants 730 euros to send it over. He refunded me rather quickly after I asked but that was still annoying.
Weirdly enough, the local version of amazon for my country never even got a listing up for the CPU which is probably the first time I see this happen.
Same goes for certain mobos. The Asrock X870E nova I wanna pair with this CPU is nowhere to be found. Either it's out of stock or there's no listing for it at all. Managed to get 2 orders in (one through amazon, one through a local store) and both were cancelled because they have no stock and don't know when/if they will get it back. Which is weird considered the chipset got released just over a month ago.
Zestyclose-Produce42@reddit
I'm selling my X870E Nova Wifi, left you a DM if that's okay
Firefox72@reddit
What a terrible article.
The fact if you currently pre-order a CPU at Mindfactory with a late December date doesn't mean there won't be any restock between then and now.
It just means mindfactory estimates they have so much orders that everything ariving till then is sold already.
SC_TheBursar@reddit
When Newegg cancelled my initial order as being OOS after an initial confirmation, they called me a few days later offering me in on 'an unexpected extra shipment from AMD'. Instead I am still in the delivery queue from Amazon and I've seen people with delivery dates ranging from 2 days from now to nearly the end of November, so clearly they are expecting to be getting a steady drumbeat of deliveries this month. Not having them listed anymore seems to be more about not wanting to get too far out in front of their feet in case AMD doesn't deliver on timeline/count expected.
damien09@reddit
My Amazon delivery date is January 24th
VolumeNo665@reddit
Thats not true. Reality speaks otherwise
Gardakkan@reddit
BestBuy Canada says mine will ship by November 22nd. Unless something goes wrong with distribution I think I will get it before the holidays.
Affectionate_Sort_8@reddit
Sasme.. here's to hoping it actually ships by then. I will have everything ready but the CPU in the next week.
Gardakkan@reddit
I got the motherboard yesterday and received the ram today. Now it's just a waiting game lol
syde1020@reddit
What mobo and ram did you go with?
Affectionate_Sort_8@reddit
I went with the GIGABYTE X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 and Team T-Force Delta RGB CL30 32GB DDR5-6000
Gardakkan@reddit
MSI X870 Tomahawk and 64GB CL30 DDR5-6000 from Corsair
Affectionate_Sort_8@reddit

smashndashn@reddit
Just got the shipping notification from Canada computers. Great success
Maraud514@reddit
Well, here in Canada they 3 unit in stock lol Website did not even bother to create a page for it. Newegg did but it was sold out immediately and now they removed the page entirely. Another paper launch it seems.
shhhpark@reddit
just picked mine up last night!
gurugabrielpradipaka@reddit (OP)
I can't buy one because it'd be a productivity regression. But I feel envious 😀
illicITparameters@reddit
This is why I decided to go the 2 PC route. 7900X for work, 9800X3D for gaming.
Ernisx@reddit
They're not that different. If you have that much disposable income, why not get a 7950x or 9950x?
talon_lol@reddit
3D cache.
illicITparameters@reddit
I got the 7900X 13 months ago.
portable_bones@reddit
Such a dumb headline. My local Microcenter has over 100 in stock RIGHT NOW. I walked in and bought 2 of them last week on launch day
No_Guarantee7841@reddit
Oh yeah. A store that is only accessible to not even 5% of buyers definitely is a reliable indicator about availability.
portable_bones@reddit
They have 28 stores in 19 states and have a few more opening soon.
No_Guarantee7841@reddit
28 stores with no shipping is literally a nothing burger compared to worldwide demand.
portable_bones@reddit
And this effects you how? Sounds to me like you just want to be angry about something. Also, they do ship items. How embarrassing for you lol
No_Guarantee7841@reddit
They ship outside of USA? Do tell the details.
Charder_@reddit
My local Microcenter had 0 shown online but when I went there physically, they said they had 40+ left. I had more trouble finding some good RAM and Motherboard to pair it with. This was yesterday.
syde1020@reddit
What ram and mobo did you go with?
Charder_@reddit
X870 Tomahawk & Teamgroup T-Create 96gb
syde1020@reddit
Dang, you went all out. That's going to be a great build.
malolatif@reddit
9800x3d is on Amazon right now for USD $399 (below retail)!!!!!!
EpicGamesStoreSucks@reddit
Its already on sale on Amazon for $399. WTF I paid $479 on launch day lol
drnick5@reddit
You must be looking at the wrong listing. I don't see any for sale on Amazon besides 3rd party sellers... I do see the 7800x3d for $476, and the R9 9900x or $382.
EpicGamesStoreSucks@reddit
It said 1 left in stock and AMD store. Was about 30 minutes ago.
syde1020@reddit
It was a scam. New seller with only one rating.
damien09@reddit
?? Did it actually go to 399
EpicGamesStoreSucks@reddit
It is when I look at it. Said 1 left in stock.
damien09@reddit
Weird may have been a random different seller. I'd expect 399 to be a scam with a product this in demand tbh
EpicGamesStoreSucks@reddit
It's possible, but I got to the page by clicking on the link from my order history.
damien09@reddit
Yea for Amazon it would still list other sellers even if you went there by your order page since Amazon was likely out of stock at the time.
SomeKindOfSorbet@reddit
Don't get me wrong, this is a really cool CPU but I'll never understand how you can FOMO so much on a product like that. The value is good but not incredible either, you get 10% better gaming perf than the 7800x3D in the most CPU-bottlenecked scenarios (1080p + 4090), and the productivity perf is certainly a solid upgrade but if you're actually into productivity you're not getting an 8-core chip.
Strazdas1@reddit
I dont understand how you can FOMO, its not like they wont just make more if they are popular. But some people stand overnight in line for next iphone, i guess everyones crazy in their own way.
input_r@reddit
Its an average of 10% but can be up to 20%
https://youtu.be/TCOJ3iFCWcU?si=7iKqKfSfMf1IwOGY&t=656
THiedldleoR@reddit
So what? Your life doesn't depend on owning the fastest gaming CPU within the first month of its release. Don't let fomo get to you it only incentivizes scalpers to ruin launches even more.
jassco2@reddit
Oh no I can’t get my 1% lows up. I’ll have to turn the clouds down to high from ultra. The horror!

AMD showing once again that there is no success they cannot undermine.
Every single time AMD has a good product, it's never produced in quantities sufficient to satisfy the market.
mb194dc@reddit
It's amazing when few real word use cases even benefit from it, you can get 9700x for miles cheaper, you can get 7950x for the same price...
Not to mention AM4 3D options and the other team.
erichang@reddit
Ever heard of 1% low and 0.1% low? You think you are smarter than people who actually spent their hard earned money?
mb194dc@reddit
People can buy what they want, for me there's no reason to be particularly excited about the 9800x3d even for 1 and 0.1% lows unless you're an esports player or have some other use case where you want hundreds of FPS at <=1080p.

Something to consider is TPU has the game pool with the lowest gains of any testing site I have seen. They got 3% while HWU with 45 games has 8-11%, a bit higher if you remove the gpu bottlenecks.

I was hoping to replace my 7600 with one before christmas, but it'll be fine. They'll release the 9950X3D and 9900X3D in early Q1-25 and if the rumors are true at they'll have Vcache on both CCD's, I'm sure it'll take some pressure off of the demand for the 9800X3D.
panix199@reddit
are you going to sell it? Or gift it to someone?
ConsistencyWelder@reddit
Not decided yet, I might sell it, but I'm also thinking of repurposing it for a secondary PC in the living room, as an HTPC/browsing PC. Currently I'm using a 4770k for that purpose that can't even install Win 11.
Squizgarr@reddit
9800x3d is back in stock on Amazon.
Relative-Sky2139@reddit
it's not "in stock" if the delivery date is late January
Squizgarr@reddit
It must have just changed because it was showing a delivery date of next week for me.
damien09@reddit
They get scooped up so fast x.x man I wish I lived closer to a microcenter
vhailorx@reddit
Is this worry, by any chance, being voiced by AMD in order to drive demand to even higher heights?
CH3N9@reddit
In Singapore, same thing. Here you get better chance in getting 9800x3d by building a brand new system with local system integrator than trying to find CPU only ( gone within hours 😅 ). Even now people are lineup to pre-order the next batch of the CPU.
Mystikalrush@reddit
Online stores are a waste of time unfortunately. Seek the nearest brick and mortar for in person availability.
Substantial_Lie8266@reddit
Really fast and good cpu but no need to upgrade 14900k as it is only marginal faster and in many games still slower than mine 14900k running 5.7 with DDR5 8800.
3ebfan@reddit
So glad I just happened to randomly check the Amazon page 30 minutes before release
Ploddit@reddit
BS
AMD likes making money and they knew this CPU was going to be in demand. They'll have production in full swing.
kbailles@reddit
Supply seems pretty good tbh. If you really wanted one you could have gotten one on release day. If the 9950x3d is good then it’ll help with demand on the 9800x3d.
djashjones@reddit
If they have not made enough chips, what's wrong with it long term?
SpNovaFr@reddit
Maintaining demand higher than supply also means maintaining high prices.
djashjones@reddit
Yup. I'm seeing this trend too with other electronics.
Dvevrak@reddit
Watch GN video from today, they confirmed that AMD is shipping x3d's weekly and there is just so high demand that it will take time to feed all mouths.
TotalWarspammer@reddit
Techradar is a trash clickbait 'news source'.
AejiGamez@reddit
I mean, at least you can get them in the US at Microcenter. Here in Europe, the largest retailer had around 2000 of them for launch day, which sold out in 5 minutes. Now no one actually has any.
elbobo19@reddit
I ordered one from amazon on the 8th when they opened up ordering again for a short while. Says delivery is not expected until roughly December 20th
jasonwc@reddit
There was still stock at my local Microcenter last night when I last checked, and they have restocked at least twice since the release date. Availability has been much better at MCs than the online retailers.

Fire from the hip. Ask questions later.
The FOMO is real...
