It used to be End Zone at Oarker and Independence, and was for around 2 decades, but they've changed ownership twice now and the wings fell off a cliff. pours one out for my homies
Was going to throw out End Zone but realized it’s been a long time ain’t I’ve been over there. I want to say Thursday was half-price wings and they had a Thai-Chilli sauce that was awesome
Name the club! In Miami Tootsies legit had the best wings in the area and were open until 4. The girls thought it was weird as hell I’d come in there eat and leave.
They are a chain, and a DFW franchisee owns a few. The concept is based in the El Paso area and has franchise locations in the area and in Mexico.
The crowd is just your normal diverse Central Plano, Salt of the Earth group that usually wants Beer, Wings, and sports on TV. The servers are polite, and prices are average compared to what you'll find elsewhere. Wings get expensive fast.
We were craving wings a few weeks ago and ended up trying the Wing'D Nut.
They are really good sized wings and sauces were tasty. Atomic was really hot but not too much vinegar. And the Cajun dry rub were good too.
The wings were so good my wife and I did a date day there on Friday. We ended up getting a burger and buffalo chicken wrap. Service was ok, she wasn't bad, just clearly didn't want to be there but we've all had those days 🤣
Anyways check this place out:

Fortunate Son in Garland is known for the (amazing) pizza mostly, but I had the best wings there I’ve had in 10 years. Sauce wasn’t anything crazy, it was the quality of the chicken and perfection of the technique. Truly great.
I love Mad For Chicken! I think they have a few locations, one kind of over by Stonebriar, and the other In the Korean district in Carrolton. Some of the best lemon pepper wings I’ve had in my entire life.
Austin Avenue on Parker. Good sized and priced well. Several flavor options.
It took me forever to find wings that met my criteria and Austin Ave. did it!
It’s love to if I fall into better cash. I used to go to Ddong Ggo a long while ago. Unfortunately these Korean Fried Chicken restaurants are really good at eating money.
I’ve been needing a reason to go back to Granite Park. I usually just go to Chips, Blue Mesa, or SYC. I’ve been waiting for Union Bear to open up at McKinney Square.

For the past few years, it has been Jake's Gameday Grill. It is the Jake's Hamburger people if you've ever been there or Keller's in Dallas.
royalooozooo@reddit
It’s now a different restaurant. Jake’s closed early in 2024

A little far drive, but Duffs in Southlake.
Bostonfan1987@reddit
Wings over Frisco is solid!
Keep_Plano_Corporate@reddit
Good recommendation, not a short drive unless you're in North West Plano off Preston.
Leoimy@reddit
I know a strip club that serves really good wings
CryptoBasicBrent@reddit

Leoimy@reddit
The club is called “La Bare”, highly recommend just for the wings alone. Anything else is just extra
Keep_Plano_Corporate@reddit
It is more of a Hot Dog joint.
No-Suggestion4833@reddit (OP)
That’s either a 2 for 1 for some people, or a worthy trade-off for others.
DrBendix@reddit
Wing daddy’s - chain… maybe a franchise I don’t know…. but still deserves a mention
Keep_Plano_Corporate@reddit
I second this recommendation.

I think bbq chicken is about the same price for their wing options?
So I'd say try bbq chicken or chicken barn

Another vote for BB.Q chicken, so crispy

Arrowhead sports bar. Tollway, in the Target shopping center.
Metalturds@reddit
Pluckers has been great lately as long as you only want wings and beer.
ACG3185@reddit
Fried pickles, ranch and Mac n cheese is still pretty damn good. For some reason they still can properly make a waffle fry, though.
Texas_Mike_CowboyFan@reddit
It's just their service that consistently sucks. Food is great!
signizer180@reddit
Honestly, I never found a place that was worth the $15-25 for 12 wings. The closest for me would just be from wingstop paired with their ranch.
But lately I’ve just been air frying them at home and making a buffalo sauce with franks red hot
No-Suggestion4833@reddit (OP)
I’m in a similar ballpark as you. Just wanted to mix things up. See if there are any bar style Buffalo wings that catch my eye.
signizer180@reddit
Let’s hope we get some good replies haha

In the same boat.
Middle-Ant-6104@reddit
I heard Anchor bar opens in dfw and not in Plano thogh

covino’s pizza would be my recommendation. Haven’t been there in a while due to location. But it used to be my go to hole in the wall place for wings.

Edmund's Burgers makes some really good wings, the guy is a trained chef and is very skilled.

This menu looks great. Thank you so much.
ghostlee13@reddit
Their Reuben is great, and their burgers are excellent.

The HEB pre seasoned ones are pretty solid. Otherwise the Parkway tavern has decent ones and so does Aviators.

Wingstop
unknownfy24@reddit
Check out https://duffswings.com/ - it's a bit of a drive as it's in Southlake but they are solid. They are from Buffalo and pretty legit.

hiimaninja@reddit
Ah, I didn't even know about a flower mound one lol

Me neither lol, what a shame
hiimaninja@reddit
Yeah the one in Carrollton is a new chicken place called DAQ.
The one near stonebriar is a new chicken place called chicken barn

Wing Snob. The Allen location off 121 is under New Management and it's sooo good now!
Aggravating-Eye-1060@reddit
Agreed, not many good spots. My go to is Austin Avenue - 8 out of 10.

Mighty Chick. Their Korean wings are incredibly good. The. Rest of their food is too but those wings in particular 🤌

Vickery Park in downtown Plano has half priced wings on Monday. Had some tonight. Were great.

If you ever want to try Korean fried chicken , try Toridori in Carrollton, the best Korean fried chicken in DFW. A side of kimchi fried too

Best I've ever had were Logan's Roadhouse. It's been a long time since I've been to one, so hopefully as good as I remember.

A bit out of my way, but does sound good. I appreciate it.
