This is sad. I don't know why, but it really is a downer. Have the new shows soured fans of Trek? SNW and that other thing ain't really good. The moment I figured out SNW was an alternate universe, I thought, "that's it. Trek has finally been trashed." First the Kelvin timeline which wasn't necessary, now this. If they wanted to avoid messing up canon, it's too late. "Enterprise" did that already. And where can you go from "Picard?" I liked it but it was more like a fever dream than Trek.

Same thing happened with Jonathan Frakes and Michael Dorn at RI Comicon. I felt like I should be waiting in line for an hour, but I walked right up. They were such huge stars when I was a kid. Jonathan Frakes is great btw.

I saw John delancie at a fan expo a few years ago and he was alone at his booth. I'm older so it was kinda surreal to see no one talking to him and quiet. Sign of the times I suppose.
