Microsoft Office perpetual one-time purchase

Have a customer who needs legit Office, just needs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint but they want perpetual one-time purchase. Looks like Office Home 2024 is least expensive option. Is there any other way that is less expensive?

Office 2022 LTSC is modern "pro plus" under perpetual licensing.

That is more like $400 right?
chillzatl@reddit
Correct but it is the properly licensed version for the scenario you gave.

I agree that's the proper version, but is there someplace that specifies that the Office Home 2024 version cannot be used in a business? Obviously the commercial version is preferred for businesses, but I have a feeling the retail version is allowed.

Just use KMS server docker image

The license agreement

Thanks, figured that was the case. Do you know where I can view the license agreement prior to purchase? Do you have a link?

Probably in here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/useterms

I don't know how much you trust Groupon or the grey market in general, but right now they have Microsoft Office 2019 Lifetime Professional Plus for PC for $14.
In the SlickDeals thread about it they warn that the official support for 2019 ends in 2025.
There is also a deal for Office 2021 Professional for $25. I just searched for Microsoft Office on SlickDeals.

Home is for Home users. If your client uses it for business purposes at all you need Home and Business.

This might not be the case for everyone, but for those that work for a company using o365, you might have access to Office for free for your use at home. Something to look into if that applies.

Does your client use it for commercial purposes? If so, that's not the correct license.

If it is for personal/home use sure.
