A Calendar Shared to my in outlook, will not sync to teams.

Good evening, I'm probably tired and my googling isnt working well. I have a company calendar, shared to my via outlook. All of the events in that specific outlook calendar, will not sync to teams.

The environment is full 365.

Things i add to my calendar in outlook sync to teams fine, but the shared calendar will not show up in teams at all.

This is probably super easy fix, and I'm running around in circles, any pointers would be appreciated.

The calendar that shows in Teams is your calendar. That's it. If you need multiple calendars, that's what Outlook is for.

I think they only added the calendar aspect to Teams so you can see the Teams meetings on your calendar, or more easily schedule Teams meetings around your existing ones.

Nothing is being synced, it's just showing your calendar and allowing you to manipulate it.

I swear at my previous company any calendar that showed in outlook synced to teams. That must be because they were modifying my calendar in teams, and not a share calendar. Any event I make in outlook on my calendar does sync through to teams because it's my calendar like you said.

I do understand what you're saying, I just feel like it should sync all the way through. But whatever, I'm sure I can use different apps to make that sync happen.

Does your company have an Exchange Hybrid server, and has someone accidently created the Shared Mailbox with the Calendar on the local server?

Or maybe it's a Public folder calendar.

There are no physical servers, as the environment is full cloud.

I don't really know the answer to this, but I guess it is something to do with the properties/type of calendar/user/group that is preventing it from showing in Teams.

The question I would look to answer since I don't know is what type of Calendars do show in Teams? Does Microsoft have a document listing calendars that show in Teams?
