in the coming weeks i will find my self with a little extra money and i plan on buying some new computer parts
my current set up
R5 3600
16gb 3200
rx 6750 xt
my options for upgrading are
R7 9800x3d if MSRP is correct 480$ USD i would be looking at abut 690$ CAD though with this path i will need a new motherboard and ram as well.
or a GPU
and the 2 i am looking at are
ASRock Challenger Radeon RX 7900 GRE 760$ CAD
or
SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon RX 7800 XT 650$ CAD
prices for these cards are based of newegg i know the hate newegg seems to get these days but to get to memory express is a lengthy trip.
i do feel the cpu might be the better option for right now but i would like some input from you guys if you would be willing to lend it

Do a 7800XT and a 5700x3d to match it

i was actually just thinking about that as an option as well.

This is my setup currently. Very solid 1440p build. All competitive games 240+ and AAA high graphics usually around 100

5700X3D + 7900GRE
7800XT is fine too but the 7900GRE is from the same silicon as the 7900XT/XTX so they both end up using about the same power despite the performance difference. Can OC pretty close to an XT if you want to.

Do you have issues with your current GPU or are you planning to upgrade your resolution? The 6750XT is still a pretty capable GPU, but out of those two I would get the GRE
And for sure get the 9800X3D if you can, pair it with 32GB 6000MHz CL30 RAM (mind the timings tho, Corsair usually have the best ones) and a motherboard with a chipset that fits your needs

no issues with my gpu. it still runs great it gets a little warmer then i would like and has always run on the warmer side but is still within acceptable range it is also just the base AMD model.
