I have read multiple times, that the B650 Motherboards will require a BIOS update to be compatible with the new ryzen 7 9800x3d. I have also read, that it may be possible, that this update can only be performed with a CPU that is compatible with the previous Version.

If I buy both components as new, and this particular Motherboard has been sitting in some warehouse shelf for a few months, will I possibly be screwed over by an incompatible BIOS version that I can't update?

How would I even go about figuring that out?
