Upgrade options? What's your recommended next steps to consider

My current build is:
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Asus ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING ATX AM4 Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB Western Digital WD_Black SN850X 1 TB
Graphics Card Prices are still kinda high right now, so, I'm trying to focus on other parts for now. No immediate need to upgrade but will want to within the next year.
I'm currently thinking on new motherboard (to an AM5 board), upgraded RAM and CPU. Do any of you helpful people think I should focus on anything else?

5700X3D cpu would be a decent upgrade of your current system if you are after gaming performance.
If you want to start putting together a whole new system, just wait until you can afford a new gpu too. Upgrading only the cpu, ram, and mobo will not do much for gaming performance, since you will still be GPU limited. By waiting, you will get more performance for your money and current gen parts.

I've been looking into the 5700x3d. I use the passmark website to get an idea of performance. Is that not a good indicator? My 5900 is showing 39115 whereas the 5700x3d is showing 26360. I was also looking into the 7900x3d. On passmark that's showing 50408 which appears to be a big bump.... Assuming the scores mean anything at least
I'm holding off hopefully until nvidia announce the 5000 cards. If I'm holding off for that, do you think I'm better waiting and then upgrading to an Am5 board instead of upgrading to another AM4 cpu now? I'm nit after a performance boost just yet

If you are after gaming performance, benchmarks would be a better comparison. For example: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html but it doesn't show the 5800X3D.
If you want a 5000 series GPU, upgrade to AM5 at the same time.
