Tips for testing out of auto restriction? TX

I've been driving an 18 speed for a little over a month now with my new company they've given me 45 days since hire to get rid of my auto restriction and I'm confident enough to take the test so I booked my appointment for this Friday November 8th, just curious about any tips, advice, what not to do, what's considered an immediate fail(coasting, stalling) and any other advice to prepare for thankyou all

I stalled on my test but I recovered quickly without panicking and they still passed me.

Really? I heard it's an automatic fail, maybe leniency of the tester, thanks for the advice

Even though it may be easier to 'float' your gears do not do so while taking the road test. Double clutch.

Of course I have practiced both ways extensively

If you have to come to a complete stop (because you can't find the right gear) you fail. So, 6th gear is the easiest to find while rolling along at 10 mph, it should just about drop right in without revving the motor.

Much appreciated, I'm alright at finding a great if I need to, but may grind a bit, i believe as long as I an focused into shifting through all gears even slowing down hopefully I won't need to get to a point where I'm emergency stopping looking for my gear lol
