What is the best motherboard(chipset) choice for the 9800X3D?

I'm working on a new build which is going to use the new 9800X3D. There seems to be some discourse about which motherboard chipsets are best, the 670(e) or 870(e). It sounds like the difference maker is if you're maxing out all of your PCIe slots, which I do not intend on doing.
I want a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for future proofing GPU advancements and I'll be getting a single PCIe 5.0 M.2 drive (I know there's not much performance increase at the moment, but again future proofing).
So which chipset, or even a specific motherboard suggestion would you go for?

Honestly I would personally just use a solid B650 pcie gen 4 motherboard. If you have the money I guess go for the x870, but considering the rtx4090 works just fine on a gen 3 pcie-x16 slot you will be waiting a few years before a gen 5 capable motherboard will be a necessity.

your cpu will become obsolete before pcie5 becomes as necessity.
why spend money now in hopes that it will not be a loss if one can just buy the appropriate hardware when one needs it?

Out of those 2, I would pick the X670E, the X870E is just X670E with mandatory USB4
I've seen the MSI GAMING PLUS X670E for 230$/€, I've bought it myself but haven't got around to test it yet since I'm waiting to see if I can get the rest of the PC on a sale
