Generation X is going to have to step up!

I know we are tired. I know we are weary. I know that our eyes are going, our hips hurt, and we got bills to pay.

Even so, we have got to step up and teach these young ones about some proper Grassroots activism. We were the generation who marched in the streets against nuclear proliferation during the Cold War. We were the generation who marched in the streets for women's rights and workers rights. We were the generation who marched in the streets for lgbtq rights. We were the generation who marched in the name of humanity and decency. We screamed our throats raw in the streets. It's time to teach the youngsters how to do things from the ground up, because it's the only fucking way we are going to stem the impending catastrophic tidal wave that is coming.

I'm freaking out. But I also know this: Our Generation did not survive the very real possibility of nuclear annihilation in the '80s to be brought down by a shambling spray painted cadaver. Who's with me?

Maybe I'll come around. Though, I've done many of those things, and worked in the Dem party for a really long time. What was all that for? Millions of Americans to tell me to fuck off. They don't want their Social Security, healthcare, personal rights, or any of it. I'll be OK. Many of those people are going to suffer. So we'll see if\when I get motivated to help people who, quite frankly, despise the help.

This. We are cooked, baked, flambayed , and microwaved on low for thirty seconds. Our so called generation drank the koolaide.
