What states have DOT x ray machines?

Wouldn’t having to drive through them everyday increase likelihood of cancer? Does it only x ray the trailer or cab also? I feel like this should be talked about more, the government increasingly invading privacy.

You don’t cross scales everyday
Almost no states have X-Ray
You ain’t getting cancer from an X-Ray
You more likely to get cancer cuz that left arm getting cooked like a potato

I have issue with 1
I cross 2-4 scales every day. People getting rolled across one a day isn't even kind of rare.

Prepass go GREEN GREEN GREEN.

Unless your company has a bad CSA score you won't get checked that much

How do I know if I’m being checked?

You WILL know. The whole thing is a dedicated vehicle. It's not something you cross driving across the scale.

You should get used to the idea of the DOT invading your privacy. As long as you drive commercial, you are under FMCSA/DOT regulations. if you hate the x rays, wait until you get a level 1, where they go through every minute detail about your truck and trailer

Sounds rough

You'd have to be scanned something like 125,000,000 times each year to get close to the maximum limit permitted for safety.

If you think the DOT is bad now add hazmat to your resume. BATFE, PHMSA, EPA and all the state environmental tacked on is damn near a public proctological exam.
