I mean, I'm a native San Franciscan, I grew up at DK shows at the Mabuhay, Deaf Club, Rock against Reagan, Jello even flopped in my dorm room in college when we hired him for a spoken word gig, but railing against the fascistic tendencies of Jerry "Governor Moonbeam" Brown seems just so....quaint in November 2024. Truly a different time it was.
I was an 80s hardcore teen. Music is a brilliant escape right now for various reasons. Jello Biafra was an overtly political punk at a time when that could happen and you could still find some success.

Wrong version: We've Got a Bigger Problem Now is what you probably meant to post. I mean, both are awesome, of course.

The younger generations need their own version of the DK’s and RATM.

They have polished TikTok music, they aren’t even aware that there is music that sounds different than the 2020s equivalent of boring elevator music 😎

Of course this is a classic. And for some reason it has put me in the mood to listen to some Billy Bragg.

Homeboy wasn’t playing around even one little bit.

Always loved DK and Jello. Still listen to them today. I think Stars and Stripes of Corruption remains amazingly relevant.
