I mean, I'm a native San Franciscan, I grew up at DK shows at the Mabuhay, Deaf Club, Rock against Reagan, Jello even flopped in my dorm room in college when we hired him for a spoken word gig, but railing against the fascistic tendencies of Jerry "Governor Moonbeam" Brown seems just so....quaint in November 2024. Truly a different time it was.

I was an 80s hardcore teen. Music is a brilliant escape right now for various reasons. Jello Biafra was an overtly political punk at a time when that could happen and you could still find some success.
