Instead probably save up for an Elantra N. It already has a turbo and it won’t blow up.

You’re better off selling it and just buying a car that came from the factory with a turbo.
Your engine isn’t meant to have one, there’s a lot more to it than just slapping it on.

If your asking here then no
Piramerdd@reddit (OP)
Where to ask then? I thought this place would have lots of car mechanics.
StashuJakowski1@reddit
To add, yes there’s a bunch of mechanics here and they’re telling you not to do it because the 2.0L and its transmission are not designed to handle a turbo’s capability effectively.

A Hyundai sub or enthusiasts forum.
Frockington@reddit
The mechanics are telling you not to do it. However, if money is no object, I say go for it! But then again if money is no object then you wouldn't be driving a Hyundai in the first place.

If you’re asking where to ask then you probably can’t/don’t know enough
One_Mikey@reddit
If you don't have the answer already, you likely don't have the skills to implement this.
You also mentioned 1.4L turbo engines, and just because those exist, doesn't make adding a turbo to your vehicle any easier, lol.
daly_o96@reddit
It’s definitely not as cheap or easy as you think it is lol
Illustrious-Shake928@reddit
As someone who had one of these as a work vehicle that had meticulous maintenance done, but still blew up at 103k miles, the answer is absolutely not.
No-Explanation1034@reddit
That engine is barely holding together in stock form lmao
Piramerdd@reddit (OP)
There are vehicles with 1.4 liter engines and turbo charged. Made in the US btw!
rampas_inhumanas@reddit
Yes, engines designed to be turbocharged. And Hyundai still fucks it up and they explode. You will just spend many thousands of dollars breaking your car. And before it breaks, you'll still be in an Elantra. Don't bother.
No-Explanation1034@reddit
Yup, and if you look behind any Hyundai dealer, you'll find a mountain of blown up engines, replaced under warranty. Hyundai makes garbage on their best days.
Bruh_is_life@reddit
With enough time and money, anything is possible. If you have to ask, its probably not the job for you.
D4ydream3r@reddit
Sure why not as long as it is not your only car. Just incase it blows up.
Have fun!
Smart_History4444@reddit
lol no, adding a turbo to a N/A engine isn't easy, at all.
rmodel65@reddit
No lol
Automatic_Mulberry@reddit
Probably not, if it's your main or only ride.
