Just today I put in a aftermarket radio on my 2012 Camry and I was programming the steering wheel controls but can only program certain bottoms (mute,answer/declina call, voice assist) but the the ones to control music nor volume can’t seem to program them any help?

You need to actually provide more details like what kind of data interface, model of stereo, what trim level. PAC, iDatalink, etc?

I can't speak specifically for your car, but if you're not using one yet, you can get modules that you can program to interpret steering wheel control for your aftermarket stereo. Now that I've written this out, I'm not sure if any of this is even useful, lol.

Toyotas are notoriously difficult when it comes to aftermarket electronics. It's very possible you won't be able to make this work as you want. That said, someone else may know something i don't.
