Hey guys!

After much deliberation and consideration of my budget and setup, I finally ordered my upgrade. Going from a GTX 1660super to an RTX 4070 super, and from a Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 7 5700x3d. I'm looking for tips and thoughts about the assembly process i have ahead of me. This is my plan:

• update BIOS with old CPU.
• disable all OC settings
• do the swap
• DDU uninstall the old Nvidia driver.
• reinstall driver
• verify stability, then OC the memory (i know the x3d is locked) , then verify stability with the OC.
• play all night 😝

My question is: should I do the whole thing in safe mode maybe, or it doesn't matter that Windows installs a driver before the nvidia installer? Also, is it going to be an issue, that the chipset driver I have, which is the latest from Asrock for the B450 is from 2022, and the 5700x3d came out in 2024?
