from the looks of it, that tire should have never started the day to begin with, lol. there are absolutely no tread lines on that thing. It had to be pretty bald before the metal was rubbing on it.
Seeing as how the mud flap bar was in a normal position before I left, they don't magically just bend up like that. The tread has to blow off and wrap around it. The tire was only a month old with fresh tread. It was a faulty re tread
do you know what a re tread actually looks like.. not the whole tire, but the re tread itself. the glue line under those arrows is where the re tread is GLUED to the tire... so if your re tread flew off, you would not see that glue line clear as day. the glue line would be at the surface for what part of it you would even be able to see. so unless they put a re tread on a re tread, which I doubt. the tread didn't fly off. the mud flap bar can "MAGICALLY" bend up if something hits it. doesn't mean the tread hit it.

Thats from the re tread blowing off

I'm not sure how you figure that when the glue line for the retreat is clearly visible, like an inch down from the surface.

Because the tread blew off because it was a faulty re tread

and actually after zooming in, you can see the triangles (arrows) that's indicate when it's time to replace on the sidewalls

We all take a turn having one sometimes. I'm glad yours ended up with just that and nothing worse, but sorry about the setback today.
