I don't think they're doing this Open Border nonsense either.

Immigration is a difficult issue to tackle. Trump did not "solve" it in office, but he weaponized it into an overblown issue and painted demographics of people a target on their back.

What I do know is that the the Biden administration would have passed the most conservative border bill in modern US history if not for Trump telling the Republicans to vote against the bill they wrote. I also know that when that bill failed Biden would enact a number of executive orders for the border.

So while I don't think the Democrats do a good job with the border, nor do they even know what they want to do, but I do know for certain Trump and the Republicans don't give a single flying fuck about the border. It's a political game for them to use for votes and fearmonger. If they actually cared about the border they would have passed the bill. If Trump actually cared he wouldn't tell republican congressmen to vote it down.

Ignoring the ethics of this (duh), what about the logistics? There isn't an office interested in deportation with the employees sitting around twiddling their thumbs. MAGA-level deportations are going to require huge amounts of hiring in the relevant offices.
