Popped into my head today as I snacked on a 100 Grand bar. And wasn’t that one called a “$100,000” bar back in the day??
MaximumJones@reddit
They still have them at a local mom and pop grocery store where I shop.
I still can't find Zagnuts though 😕
PantherBrewery@reddit
Amazon has Zagnut and Clark bars. I must enjoy a box every couple of months.
Gomertaxi@reddit
My local supermarket carries Zagnut bars, too!

Come to PA and find the treasure you seek.
Dapper-Razzmatazz-60@reddit
I love them!
Yasashii_Akuma156@reddit
Bit into a bug in a Clark bar and stopped eating them for awhile (happened with Zagnut, too). Then I moved to another part of the country where they weren't distributed and missed them just a wee bit.
portageParkPunk@reddit
sheeeeit, did Clark lose the candybar wars with Butterfinger?
West_Sample9762@reddit
The chocolate covered finger of a man named Clark.
CallMeSisyphus@reddit
Had to scroll way too far to see this.
JeffAlbertson93@reddit
Look for these and zagnut every time I go to a new gas station.i still find zagnut, but haven't seen a Clark bar in years.
Formal-Working3189@reddit
I miss PB Maxx 😋😎
omg_pwnies@reddit
(wikipedia).
I miss those, too.
Formal-Working3189@reddit
So they own a candy company, but they hate peanut butter? Even more than they love money?? I can't even find the words.....
omg_pwnies@reddit
Right??
Formal-Working3189@reddit
Lol like when I read that I started doing that goldfish thing with my mouth ...😮
garbagebailkid@reddit
What did PB stand for again? Prehistoric Barber?
Chateaudelait@reddit
I think it was Portly Ballerina. :) I'm ashamed that as a bigger girl myself that was the part of that commercial that I remembered. But those were awesome.
waaaghboyz@reddit
Right?

I had to scroll through way too many comments to get to this!
Kimber80@reddit
So damn good
day_of_duke@reddit
I think the bigger question is why did Kit Kat go down to 4 bars from 5 and no one said a damned word. Some say Mandela effect, but dammit I KNOW there was 5 bars

Clark bars are still around, though generally hard to find.
Yes, the 100 Grand bar used to be called $100,000 Bar. Stores near me sell 100 Grand bars.
Over_Ad_688@reddit
They are somewhat hard to find in my area, just like Big Hunk, I used to love those.
JonCeini@reddit
Me too, But, I haven't seen a Big Hunk in a decade.
Odd_Method_2979@reddit
I’m right here!

Don’t forget Zagnut
OliveAffectionate626@reddit
My two favorite at Halloween, Clark and Zagnut.
polymorphic_hippo@reddit
Beetlejuice!
KiKibaby2019@reddit
I miss the Marathon bar! It was a braided-like chocolate covered caramel. It was my favorite in the late 70's early eighties.
VeryStableGuiness@reddit
I think they can still be found in Pittsburgh area. Got one while I was there a couple of years ago.
Ozymandias_Canceled@reddit
Still around. Boyer bought the recipe from NECCO a few a years back.

Perfect!
sattersnaps@reddit
That’s exactly who came to mind. Sparky.
Gomertaxi@reddit
They’re still around and pretty easy to find.
freshcoastghost@reddit
Do they taste the same? Or did they change some ingredients to save $ like butterfinger did.
Boxofbikeparts@reddit
Every American candy company switched to cheaper ingredients to keep profits up.
Gomertaxi@reddit
They taste the same, as far as I can tell.
CommissarCiaphisCain@reddit
Jack NMN Reacher’s favorite candy bar.
drosmi@reddit
I think if you search the internets from the pad 6 months you’ll find that the small S.F. Bay Area factory that makes them is shutting down.
Plastic_Bullfrog9029@reddit
Nah. That’s Annabelle candy - Big Hunk, Rocky Road, Abba Zabba and Look . Necco makes the Clark Bar.
drosmi@reddit
Oh my bad. Still sad tho
Plastic_Bullfrog9029@reddit
100%. Annabelle is a local company in the Bay and I've been eating their candy since I was a kid.
Awkward_Tap_1244@reddit
Try Cracker Barrel. I don't recommend eating their food, but in the store part up front, they have a good selection of old-timey candy and sodas.
Last_Blackfyre@reddit
Five Below stores have them. Clark Cups as well. Plus some other less well known ones like Zagnut, Zero, and others. Another good choice are the independent, but often upscale a bit, candy stores.
madtownjeff@reddit
Grew up in Pittsburgh, half my Halloween haul was Clark bars.
typhoidmarry@reddit
How are they compared to Butterfinger?
I liked them too!!
KISSALIVE1975@reddit
Go To Rocket Fizz Or Any Retro Candy Store In Your Area… Due To Nostalgia, They Will Be Expensive… Movie Theatre Size Of Grape Flavor Red Vines Are $8.99
Jwheat71@reddit
They were my favorite. I used to get them all the time but when we moved to the West Coast I can not find them anywhere.
boilersnipe@reddit
It’s made in Altoona, PA by Boyer candy
shitty_advice_BDD@reddit
Butterfingers pushed them out?
dj_1973@reddit
Clark was a casualty of the Necco bankruptcy and closure. I think Boyer bought them and have been producing them.
SellReasonable6367@reddit
I’ve seen them at Dollar General….
retro_lady@reddit
I've been trying to find Rocky Road candy bars. I can't even remember what they were like!

One of my most shameful childhood memories was lying to my mom that I didn't feel well so I could stay home from school. I did it just so I could eat the Clark bars we had from going to a baseball game the day before. That was my sole motivation. I looked them up recently and they have "cups" but like everything else, I imagine they don't taste as good as the bar used to.
tharesabeveragehere@reddit
The dog wet on the picnic basket...
dreaminginteal@reddit
My dad used to sell those when I was a toddler. He was very very careful about not leaving samples where I could get them...
FawnLeib0witz@reddit
We go to Altoona PA every couple of years and stop at the Boyer candy Company, and buy a big box of Clark bars.
JazzlikePension2389@reddit
Yes.
Boyer Candy in Altoona makes Clark Bars.
blade944@reddit
Someone took the glasses off them and they're now known as superbars.
Braincloud@reddit
These were my mothers favorite back in the 70s. She used to get small ones to give away at Halloween but because no one else liked them and didn’t take them from the bowl, she got them all to herself after that night lol.
swentech@reddit
In the Midwest the two I like to go for is Twin Bing and Salted Nut Roll.
TheVoicesOfBrian@reddit
They're cups now. You can order 'em on Amazon.
Normal-Philosopher-8@reddit
They are sold as Clark Cups - in a Reese’s style. But they get harder and harder to find, without having to order a whole box.
