went thru a background screening and employment history came up. what would be the best way of getting these documents? any sites or people who could assist?
MarathonRabbit69@reddit
Lol did you lie and get caught?
sarcasticlntrovert@reddit
I’d tell them that I requested the W2s from my accountant, but my accountant then advised that I should not provide tax documents to uninterested third parties
ripfucks@reddit (OP)
they want to verify the dates i worked there
Original_Gangsta23@reddit
Just the year? I'd see if you could send them redacted docs with crossed out financial numbers.

Don’t forget that photoshop is your friend

they already contacted jobs i put. that’s why they want the w2s bc they don’t match up. should i just take the L and find another job? 😂
Stroopwafellitis@reddit
Take the L and shut down your Work Number so future employers can’t tell you’re lying
_PorcoRosso@reddit
Just tell them you got the dates confused.
SnooOwls2295@reddit
Just take the L, instead of dogging yourself deeper into potential consequences. Next time don’t lie about easily verifiable facts that nearly every employer verifies.

Lies compound lies

Lmao get rekt you con artist 😂

You say that like companies don't treat people like dog shit during hiring.
You don't need a bachelor's for 90% of the jobs out there and yet they expect you to be OK working for 12 an hour with a bachelor's
srlguitarist@reddit
Yeah, this is very unethical behavior, he should find a subreddit more suitable for stuff like that.
dummy280@reddit
Create one. There’s templates online. Same thing happened to me when I got a job at Bank of America
AnneOnymuss@reddit
ask for theirs.
AnneOnymuss@reddit
past wages are none of their business.
New-IncognitoWindow@reddit
They just want them to know how much to offer you. Don’t.
ripfucks@reddit (OP)
i already have a job offer they just want to verify i work there for the dates that i put

You can pretty easily edit any document in a PDF editor. Google it. Just know that you’re already cooked and unless someone is heavily lobbying for you, this is a legal formality.
A W2 just means you took at least one check in that calendar year, not your exact dates. If you’re claiming you worked half the year somewhere, they’re looking for 50% of your salary on that W2.
Fuckblackhorses@reddit
You can probably get a free trial for quickbooks or something and print it yourself. You’ll have to find the w-2 forms for the years you supposedly worked there though, not sure how difficult that would be.
Also, w-2’s do not have employment dates, only the year worked and payroll numbers. so someone is lying
TheChefsRevenge@reddit
The background company already did. OP is cooked.

Fake the documents yourself but send them from a different email address, pay a small amount of money for something that looks official, and claim you are your accountant. You could even use the name of someone who is a real accountant if one were to look on Google hard enough. If your company says they are fake, play totally surprised and say that you have been scammed. Chances are it will work and your company won't say they are fake, but if they do notice they are fake, at least you are a victim and you can then consider your next steps.
natziel@reddit
They are asking because they already know you didn't work for them. Just say you don't have access to them anymore and start looking for other jobs

Go to u/photoshoprequests and find a person who can collaborate for a small fee
