ULPT Request: I know the passcode to an abusive ex. What is the most damaging thing I could do on their phone in the span of 10-15 min?

Hypothetical of course, but what is the most damage that could be caused?

Dick pics to entire contact list?
EvoDevoBioBro@reddit
Most damaging thing? Go into their cloud and delete their cloud backup. Next, do a factory reset. And, if it’s not bound to a single carrier, remove the sim card when you’re done and toss it the garbage or smash it.
jmdaltonjr@reddit
Change passcode to get in.
whitneyscrackpipe@reddit
Go to facebook marketplace and find a guy selling drugs. Set up a meet at the guys house and pay in advance with Venmo. Most likely a cop. If not. Turn him in for drugs
wootiown@reddit
You guys all suck. This is ULPT.
Find a really fucking gross nude online that could possibly resemble them. Text it to everyone in their contacts. Quickly open Amazon on their phone and see if it has payment info saved then immediately order as many sex toys as you possibly can. Then finally hit em with a factory reset so they lose everything on their phone.
MrsInTheMaking@reddit
This is dumb because if someone finds out OP did this, its like 10 crimes. ULPT shouldnt get you fuckin arrested 🙄
wootiown@reddit
There's absolutely no way to prove that OP did those things. It's someone else's phone.
MrsInTheMaking@reddit
I guess you really dont know that much about digital forensics and signatures then.
fasterfester@reddit
OK, I’ll bite. Enlighten us on how digital forensics has anything to do with physical access to a device...
MrsInTheMaking@reddit
First things first, if the owner of the phone can prove their whereabouts and prove a crime was committed on their phone and knew the location of the phone was in their home or somewhere specific the whole time, all it would take is a neighbors ring camera seeing their ex entering their home to create supporting evidence. Various data points like call logs, text messages, location data, app usage history, login details, and even deleted files can identify unusual activity - different communication patterns and/or locations not consistent with the phone's owner can indicate someone else having access to the device. If thats not enough for you - some people have home security cameras IN THEIR HOME so good luck avoiding every bit of digital data out there if you want a fool-proof crime.
fasterfester@reddit
Digital forensics and signatures = “don’t get caught on camera”
MrsInTheMaking@reddit
Thats 51% of "without a shadow of a doubt" if that's what youre asking. Thats a conviction.
fasterfester@reddit
You know that’s not what I was asking, it was a question to help point out the fallacy of your response. You’re desperate to get a “point” in this conversation, and I’m no longer interested.
MrsInTheMaking@reddit
You pointed out no fallacy because you didnt discount anything I said. Your interest was to be a bully and I disarmed you. Bye Felicia 👋
wootiown@reddit
You very desperately want to be right don't you lol
fasterfester@reddit
If this person really is a “MrsInTheMaking”, I hope their significant other understands they are not interested in communicating, only “winning” their argument.
MrsInTheMaking@reddit
Video and media ARE digital forensics. You okay, bud?
Midon7823@reddit
Everything here to do with payments is poorly thought out and wouldn't work. They can simply charge back everything with their bank because this is fraud, and if they knew it was you then you could potentially be liable for that fraud. They won't have to return anything. Won't have to ask for money back from the charity. All automated and the merchants can't do anything about it. In fact, they have tools to deal with it because they expect it.
wootiown@reddit
This is just not true lol chargebacks very much do go back to the merchants. Money doesn't just come from nowhere. I run a business and frequently fight chargebacks.
camelz4@reddit
And for good measure delete their carrier SIM so they have to go to the store and fix it. Ruined a couple days for me when that happened on my phone.
Basic_Guarantee_4552@reddit
If op opts for the illegal nudes option, make sure these images are backed up in icloud, or Dropbox or google photos. They scan the hash values of the pics against known images, and if they get a match they automatically notify the national center for missing and exploited children, who then refer the case to the appropriate local authorities. And then....
Magistricide@reddit
This is basic bitch advice. If they have any investment apps, like Robinhood, take out huge margin loans and use all of your money on 0date out of money options. The value will rapidly decrease and he'll be in crippling debt.
wootiown@reddit
That's very evil but theres no way you could just take out a loan in someone else's name just by having their phone. You'd need their SSN at a bare minimum and identity theft is a much bigger crime than buying shit on someone else's phone
Magistricide@reddit
That really depends on the account they're using in Robinhood. Margin is surprisingly the default option, (unless they changed this recently), which means they're technically already approved for the loan. They just haven't actually used that money.
All you would be really doing is executing financial trades in their name.
But yes this is extremely illegal.
Junior-Package3473@reddit
Oh your nasty! I love your sass 😉
WheezyGonzalez@reddit
This is the true ULPT advice here
Sometimes_good_ideas@reddit
Knowing where to find illegal nudes makes you a creep and we don’t like creeps round here partner
wootiown@reddit
I mean I certainly don't condone it, but for maximum destruction that'll definitely do it. But I agree, finding those within 15 minutes would be pretty suspicious.
Sometimes_good_ideas@reddit
I upvoted you buddy I was just taking the chance to let pedos know they aren’t welcome here. Cheers!
wootiown@reddit
Agreed, although we just elected one as president so that might make things difficult.

If it's an iPhone, go to Settings > Name @ the top > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Select the backup at the bottom > Delete it. > Turn off iCloud Backup. || Then go to Settings > Face/Touch ID & Passcode > Change the passcode on them to something they can't guess. > Shut the iPhone off. This is mandatory, because it'll force the iPhone to use the passcode to unlock it the first time it comes back up. > They'll be forced to erase their iPhone and since you deleted any cloud backup, they will lose all their data. If it's an Android, do something similar if possible. Enjoy!

Forward texts and passwords to a private number/email.
ImOnlyCakeOnceAYear@reddit
You can do that??? How hard is that to do?
Sometimes_good_ideas@reddit
Step one you need to screenshot all their passwords from the settings app as well as chrome or safari and then email them or text them to yourself then delete the screenshots and delete from recently deleted then delete the text/email. Practice on your own phone to figure out how long that would take you. Disclaimer: only do this if you have permission/this is not legal advice
AbruptMango@reddit
Put a burner phone in the contacts somewhere, text it the screenshots.
Sometimes_good_ideas@reddit
You could also do the text forwarding thing to a burner number. That way it’s hard to trace back to you.
buuuckyyy@reddit
Or take photos of screen with passwords instead of screenshots, so it won't leave digital trace
AbruptMango@reddit
Too easy, needs more steps.
Sometimes_good_ideas@reddit
This is so obvious I’m ashamed I didn’t think of it
ImOnlyCakeOnceAYear@reddit
Oh you mean just taking stuff off, I thought you meant forward all incoming texts to your phone as well in secret somehow
Sometimes_good_ideas@reddit
From my limited knowledge I don’t think it’s possible to forward texts from an iPhone secretly. Apple hates spyware.
nugulon@reddit
Open the phone, Venmo a bunch of random people 20$ until Venmo stops working. Lots of people are scummy and won’t return the money they ‘erroneously received’. (Technically this is an illegal life pro tip)
Delete all the apps and photos, make sure to permanently delete them… usually a phone will store images for 30-60 days in a ‘deleted’ folder but you can open that folder and permanently delete them.
Change the most important contacts, don’t delete the contacts, just change the numbers a little so they are all wrong.
Download expensive apps with a free trial.
SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK@reddit
Download the evil jelly bean
coccopuffs606@reddit
Change all the passwords on their most frequently used apps, and then block the recovery email addresses
Delete their pictures, and then go into the trash folder and delete the trash folder. Make sure you delete them from the cloud as well.

In case they have apps on their phones for insurance and subscriptions: cancel them all.
Simple-Challenge2572@reddit
Root it
HeartoRead@reddit
I'd probably factory reset it.
fakeassname101@reddit
Factory reset. They loose all their data if they haven’t backed up. Feign innocence.
Yaden2@reddit
set up parental control restricting internet usage, apps you can download, set screen time limits
this can all be undone fairly easily if they just have a backup of their phone somewhere tho, but it would still definitely cause a headache
Itsnotme74@reddit
Set screen time limits to the absolute minimum available for extra annoyance
Yaden2@reddit
oh yeah, you can set it as low as 1 minute on IOS, it’s incredible obnoxious (my parents used to use all these features against me lol)
Itsnotme74@reddit
I wonder if you could set them low enough so it’s impossible to unlock ?
A-Chntrd@reddit
And then set it to finnish or something.
TheGuyThatThisIs@reddit
At this point just add a hammer to the equation
pants_on_all_day@reddit
Two words: Factory Reset
psillyhobby@reddit
Update the face unlock to include your own face. Then change his pin so that he’s locked out and only you can open it.
iamtrying_hard03@reddit
Then they will know who did it
CDawgbmmrgr2@reddit
Explain? Are you thinking Face ID stores a picture of your face?
KartveliaEU4@reddit
It doesn't? Does it just store a hashed version?
CDawgbmmrgr2@reddit
I don’t know what it actually does on the backend but I can’t imagine the phones owner would ever be able to see who used fade ID
KartveliaEU4@reddit
Ok I looked it up, and it seems to store the map it makes of datapoints, so the actual face isn't saved.
amy000206@reddit
