Before we self-indict, how many actual votes were cast by GenX? I mean, if a group only casts three total votes but they're all for Trump, that stat shows that they voted 100% for him - bout would three votes matter?
I guess I'm asking because all our lives we've been brushed off - first by the Boomers and then by the Millennials - as there not being enough of us for anyone else to worry what we thought, what we did, or what we cared about; so all of a sudden WE are the deciding factor?
It’s not who voted, it’s who didnt. Harris got 15 MILLION FEWER votes than Biden, while Trumps numbers stayed level. The stink of GenX apathy all over this.
So disappointed in our generation. For all that we talk about our generation as the generation that was left to fend for themselves, we certainly showed that we didn’t learn to cut through the bluster and see a person for who they really are.
Resentment is a powerful motivator for many. I suppose that, as more of us get closer to not being able to retire, we’ll lash out and become more selfish. (Not speaking for myself! I’m crying blue tears today.)

As a Canadian…I didn’t do shit!

WWII included.
FarkMonkey@reddit
I do not know one single person our age, who would/did vote for that guy.
I mean, that's just selection bias on my part, but still.

Weird. I know a shit ton.

That’s not a gen X breakdown. Lots of boomers in that range.
Maleficent-Aside-171@reddit
Exactly. The oldest Xers are turning 60 this year. 61-65 yo are boomers.
Bad2bBiled@reddit
How did the smallest, quietest cohort finally do something and it was fucking this?
Jesus Christ, guys. I knew some of y’all were challenged with long term planning in high school, but I thought you’d grown out of it.

GUYS. MATH.
"It was us" only if the data shows that these age group voted in equal numbers.
That data is missing from this chart.
