Early morning in Budapest suggestions

Hi, me and my bf are arriving in Budapest very early in the morning, 6:30. Any suggestions on what to do until 12-13:00? Like where to go get breakfast and coffee, what to see in the morning? We are travelling with light bags, so they aren’t a problem. I will be glad to here your suggestions :))

Any bath is a very good idea!

I'd go to a bath. Nothing beats an early morning bath.

I’m really considering this option but I’m a little worried about our belongings since I’ve read a few stories about not very pleasant experiences with broken or stolen things… Also which baths would you recommend?

They have lockers and cabins that you can only open with a watch. Been going to baths for like 20 years, never had anything stolen from those (or know anyone who had). As for baths, the "big 3" are Gellért (nice architecture, you can also go outside, there's a sauna on top), Rudas (classic Turkish bath, just check when men's/women's/mixed days are beforehand) and Széchenyi (big outdoor area, also nice building). I like being outside in the warm water when it's cols outside, but checking out an original Turkish bath is also an experience, it's up to you really. You can find more baths and info about opening times, prices etc. on the Budapest Gyógyfürdői website.

This. Early Turkish bath, you can store the luggage. Then have brunch, and tadaaa, it's already noon.
One of my favourite ways of wasting a morning.

+1 That's a luxury I came to appreciate as an adult.

Means of transportation would be an essential info. Train? Which railway station? Plane? Car? Cruise ship?
When? On a weekday or weekend?
Info is being updated now. Around the railway stations and in the downtown area you can find open spots.

We’ll be travelling by plane, arriving on a weekday. I heard that we have to take the 100E bus to the city centre

That's how I start my mornings, too.

You can walk in the park of Városliget, look at Heroes' Square, take a walk in the Castle District. Supermarkets will open at 7 or 8 in the morning, so you'll be able to grab some food and drink.

Have you read the pinned post? There are plenty of sights you can see on foot. Lots of cafes and restaurants.
