One hundred percent 6000 CL30

Dodge.

CL30 for better response times.
CL38 if you run a VM farm lol

6000/CL30
Although I've bought CL36 as CL30 is like 25% more for 2% more performance (in non GPU limited situations) that I'll never notice so it kinda seems pointless paying the extra.

6000 cl30 is lower latency. Those timings are far more important than the slightly higher speed.
ConsequenceOk5205@reddit
6400 one is the slower one, 6000 is not speed, but throughput. It is slower than the 20 year old overclocking memory, Winbond DDR 400, which had 2 CL (which is approximately CL32 at 6400 MTs).

Yes get the 6000 one

Depends.
What application? Workstation app dealing with large blocks of data benifit from higher speeds
What CPU? AMD does do well over 6000MT/s without manual tweaking.

It will be just for gaming on a 7700x

6000MHz cl30.
Make sure you the RAM is AMD EXPO certified. XMP ≠ EXPO as some may have you believe.
Jman85@reddit
6000 cl30

Keep both if op is in the US. DT is going to put 300% tariff on import. So...

Keep both if you are in the US. 300% tariff is coming. In fact, buy everything now.

Cl30 6000

For what chip? what price?
Traditional_Year_760@reddit (OP)
A b650 with a 7700x, and I have around 120$
superrob1500@reddit
I would suggest the 6000 kit then. Even good 2x16GB kits should be ~$100.

What is your CPU/Motherboard?

B650 and 7700x
Islaytomuch1@reddit
Depends on your processor most of the time 6000 is better.
starocean2@reddit
I dont think you'll even be able to notice the difference between those.

6000 cl30
ConsequenceOk5205@reddit
The 6000 is a faster memory, unless you need some throughput instead of speed:
(38/30)*(6000/6400) = about 18% faster.
The 6400 number is throughput, if you need more data transferred, but slower.
