Man! You totally got me. My first impression was A380, then I noticed the hump and thought, "Oh, 747." Then I noticed the B-52 style double nacelles and when to "wtf?" Then the underwing aux fuel tanks (or whatever they are). Then, some sort of Kerbal Space Program concoction, and finally, the guy kneeling at the nose. "Ahhh. It's a movie set with some non-existent airplane as the centerpiece."
It's from the James Bond movie Casino Royale. The airplane itself is a modified 747 which can be seen in the background of the Top Gear test track as this airfield was where that set was.
If you watch the 2023 movie, “Golda” (about Israeli prime minister, Gold Meir) the aircraft was used as a backdrop for her traveling to visit other countries.
How big is what ground crew, a crew for servicing a normal flight? A crew for rolling out a potential new aircraft for an official unveiling? A maintenance crew? A towing crew? A crew playing with models for a movie?
DoomWad@reddit
Was this the plane from Casino Royale?
ABCund6@reddit
Yes this was the plane le Chiffre was trying to blow up.
tojejik@reddit
Huh, it wasn’t Le Chiffre?? It was one of his henchmen
Unable9451@reddit
Technically it wasn't the henchman, it was the explosive device he used.
tojejik@reddit
Hmm, fair enough. (they both kind of exploded though)
SteveHamlin1@reddit
At Le Chiffre's orders, because Le Chiffre was trying to blow the plane up.
its_a_damn_shame@reddit
Correct!
_x_ACE_x_@reddit
It is very small (<2000mm) compared to the height of a B747 (<20000mm).
InsertUsernameInArse@reddit
Your average ground crew member is usually 60 to 75ft tall. That way they don't need a really long pole to scrub the tail.

Can this “thing” actually fly?
L_Kaleidoscope8705@reddit
I use to make fuel recipes for fun
L_Kaleidoscope8705@reddit
Lots of people don't know fuel anymore and use regular kind and it's kind of scary they don't use additive and fuel specialists
L_Kaleidoscope8705@reddit
Jet fuel not regular fuel
TFS_Flight_Channel@reddit
Just imagine having that plane take the skies
L_Kaleidoscope8705@reddit
Maybe 15 million for a set amount
L_Kaleidoscope8705@reddit
That tank cost over 5 million to fill up

There is this this one on the top gear test track.
evilamnesiac@reddit
They modified an existing 747 with the engine pods for close ups, if you watch old top gear it’s in the background of the airfield test track.
jpetch4130@reddit
It’s still there I believe. It was last time I was there around 2 years ago.
