1980 really is limbo year. It's so far at the end of Gen X that you can't relate to 90% of what Gen X talks about and millennials isn't quite right either because 1980 is too soon for that.

People say that the internet is forever, not the late 90's. (Never said anything crazy online, likely just cringy teenage stuff) Late 90's early 2000's stuff is GONE. I've tried looking it up, all message boards etc... nope. no trance of it.

I've thought about such things. The longest person that hasn't gone messing is from 2007. Still talk to them to this day. Anything before that not so much and it's fine. Most people are can't forever keep up with dozens of people online forever. Oddly if they never went missing I would still try. :D

I am OKAY with all the old forums being gone from that time. Was it cringy worthy? I bet!

I went from WebTV to Comcast within two years. AOL in the middle. The age of Chat Rooms! (That was only a thing for a bit over a year looking back, the memories)

Born in 78 and wouldn’t trade my timeline for anything. Free range play and awesome toys in the 80s, killer music, movies and some early tech in the 90s, my city probably peaked for quality night life, cleanliness and safety in the early 2000s, and I was able to buy a house before prices got completely out of control.

Reading below, I love that we're the "0 F's Given" generation towards either adjoining ones. We finally woke up to not needing to be X or Millennial, it's a happy medium place for me. Speaking from a younger sibling point of view, I totally agree with Windus' assessment of us in this meme. That is my family's X'ers perpetual view of me to a T.

Boomer is an adult state of mind that appears to have been spawned once the quality of life in America allowed teenagers to remain children until their 20s. True boomers were the first and defining generation, but X has gotten infected, and I’ve seen a lot of old millennials starting to fall into it. The selfishness and main character syndrome is vile.
