There's no gaming benchmark for a gaming chip?
INITMalcanis@reddit
Phoronix don't do gaming benchmarks, so far as I know.
nicman24@reddit
Yeah they do.
equeim@reddit
Their usual selection of games is pretty limited and most of them are old though. Still it's strange that they are missing from this benchmark.
Synthetic451@reddit
No, they definitely do. Here's a recent one testing the 7900X3D: https://www.phoronix.com/review/ryzen9-7900x3d-gaming
They even have their own testing suite: https://www.phoronix-test-suite.com/

Well then today is a school day for me!

The surprise here is to see intel new chips are doing decently well.
Pitoucc@reddit
In workloads and benchmarks they do well. In gaming scenarios not so much.
BurrowShaker@reddit
Fair enough. Tour statement seems to be a good summary of where things are at. The general feel I got from reviews was that this was a piledriver moment.
Looks like they are just somewhat too pricey but technically decent.
Haven't had an intel CPU for a while, they tend not to be the right choice at my price point, but it was a bit sad to see them go bad. Know a lot of good untel and ex intel people.

So many downvotes, yet the chips got mauled by reviewers. I think it is fair to be surprised to see them doing well in these tests. I understand that there is a pricing aspect as well.

i would like it if someone does an emulation test in this CPU
this CPU has IGPU, right ?
