He lost by 7 mil in the popular vote last time but it took a week, much closer this time and it’s over at midnight. I know that doesn’t explain individual states but fuck that’s a bit odd
It was an election with a larger than normal percentage of mail in votes, with a postal service that was partially disabled. It makes sense things would take longer when our election system wasn't used to handling that volume of mail ins and the USPS was slower at actually moving mail across the country than normal.
The idea of a female President is actually less objectionable than the idea of a male First Lady. Maybe I could be convinced to vote for a chick, but spinsterhood is mandatory.
Kamela was a nobody who was polling at like 5% in her home state primary (remember even Jeb won his own state). she was made VP vecause of her connections with silicon valley money, in combination with the fact that VP is the perfect position for a useless nobody.
I think it's a humiliation kink. Grab some dumb broad with zero chance of winning, send her on a deranged and poorly planned campaign that the main talking points include "Orange Man Bad" and "Muh Vagina" and have them answer zero questions just so they can be shut down and then the Dems get to be submissive and victimized in their heads for four years.
ya just lost my 11 year old account to a ban arguing with someone in this sub. pretty funny a /r/4chan user reported me right after calling me "a redditor"
Joe would have gotten his shit pushed in worse. Kamala did far better in polling, fundraising, and raising excitement amongst democrats. This was as close a race as the democrats could have run.
I have a serious issue with the way they shielded Biden because they thought he was the best chance, even though it was very obvious the previous few months that something was going on, and then once forced to choose another candidate, their inaction robbed the Democrat voters from having a say in who it would be. That whole event felt as much a threat to democracy as everything that was being said about Trump, but it actually happened. Call me dumb, or blind, but you can't scream about the end of democracy while denying it from your own party.
All I saw on reddit was "omg I'm so energized now that Kamala is the candidate!" "I'm reinvigorated now. Brat!" I didn't even know there was 400k reddit karma posters until she was installed as the candidate. Elgin AfB really working overtime this past quarter
Oh that was that out there too. I think it was a legitimate step up from Biden, but there was also concerns about the lack of primary and her lack of experience (ironic, given Trump was a reality star before 2016). Also starting her campaign late.
I still think a competitive primary would’ve been even worse than picking Kamala. The best outcome would’ve been Biden never intending to run a 2nd time.
I agree. I voted Trump, but I think Biden would have been tougher. I think the fear was that his decline was accelerating so fast, should he win, it would a disaster when he spoke to Americans (and the world). I also fully believe massive fraud delivered Biden in 2020.
I also fully believe massive fraud delivered Biden in 2020.
There are some points I'm willing to concede to conservatives, but this is one is pure, anti-American, treasonous, horseshit. Believe what you want, but some beliefs are an indication that you're genuinely stupid.
Explain twenty million less people voting for Harris (who was more popular than Biden we were told), than for Biden. These people NEVER existed. I think the anti-American, treasonous, horseshit, are the those who disregarded election law or changed it to account for unverified/no-chain of custody of ballots to count. And the judges who chose not to look at it. Trust but verify my friend. You had the Biden DoJ threaten anyone doing a canvass (in Arizona I think) with jail time. So to look at locations where ballots were cast was punishable by jail. You sound unhinged.
Yeah, there's a simpler explanation. People didn't want to vote for Harris. A lot of people had basically no clue who she was until a month ago, and she campaigned on a return to normalcy at a time it's not what people wanted. People pretending she was popular was to drum up support, she was never more popular than biden. Biden won because people voted agaisnt trump, then Trump got popular again as they voted against biden.
If someone was really trying to steal an election they wouldn't multiple the vote count by an extra 30%. There are actual people counting these and paid recounts who admitted the numbers added up. The judges threw out the cases because none of them had any evidence.
They didn’t ‘multiple the vote count’ or use fake ballots (that’s a straw-man to dismiss the valid claims). The ballots were real. It's the registrations that were fake. Fake signatures (or no signatures) and fake addresses. That’s why the DoJ threatened to throw people doing any canvasses in jail. Next, there was ballot curing by adjudicators. The number of ballots that needed to be cured was orders of magnitude higher than normal. On top of that, in places like Detroit, Philly and Atlanta, they also ran batches of ballots over and over again through the machines. They were able to use Covid as an excuse to remove observers from the equation which made the fraudulent scanning and adjudications much easier. This time around they had none of that. Hence 15-20 million less Harris voters.
Yeah, none of this happened. This should have occurred to you when even republican judges and trump's own people he paid to do a recount all agreed that nothing happened. If there were errors to the tune of millions how did trump's recounters not notice anything.
Covid. Trump intentionally tried to kill people because he thought it would be worse for Dems, and it was immediately prior to the election.
So fucking stupid that people like you can blindly acknowledge his polarizing nature when it's good for you, but pretend it doesn't exist when it's bad for you.
Nah I think he does even worse lol. Trump just hammers age and sleepy joe into the minds of everyone + inflation and you probably end up with a bigger blowout than what we got. I’m talking red Virginia swing state NJ type shit
4 years of trump heavily motivated votes against him. Two of the biggest concerns about Joe early in 2024 were inflation and his age/cognitive decline which was shown in the debate. Neither of these were huge points of concern for him in 2020.
yeah but the point is that he was 100x more disliked now with actual leveragable administrative issues against him (inflation, gaza). He would have gotten cooked if he ran.
Much agreed. I remember he started signing a million executive orders as soon as he was in office and America had to get energy from elsewhere for the first time in however long.
Funnily enough the happiest smile I ever saw him flash was with the trumpet hat
He doesn't say coherent sentences though. A lot of it is gibberish. If Vance was bond enough he would just declare Trump not mentally fit for office and take over in a year or two.
Right, but if you actually look at the content of his ramblings you realize how little is actually being said and how impossible it is for him to stay on topic and address whatever question he was presented with.
It's all word salad, man. Tired of these old diaper wearing fucks getting cheered for. The minimum age for presidency is only 35, since Obama we haven't had a president that isn't at risk of keeling over at any moment.
I shudder to imagine how much we get laughed at whenever Trump or Biden go to meet with these world leaders, surely they're cackling after they leave the room.
You'll get no argument from me that these are the best candidates available. We could obviously do better on both sides. But that's an issue to deal with during the primaries, not the day after the election.
Good thing we kneecapped ourselves by skipping those and shoving Harris in at the 11th hour and running an absolutely abysmal campaign while Trump nailed demographics he logically shouldn't have won.
Harris, her team, and the 15 million people that didn't vote democrat this time totally shit the bed. The worst part is that Trump didn't even perform better than he did last time, there's just a bunch of people who for whatever reason didn't wanna vote this time.
America wins either way. Either the Dems go full anti-Israel as a platform and that's it that's now one of their pet issues or Donny radicalizes hundreds of thousands of Gen Alphas being fed Israel Bad videos from virtue signalers on TikTok opposed to Donny.
people dont care that Trump probably "finishes the job" in gaza, like they don't care that tariffs would actually make prices worse. They associate these problems with the democrats, Trump riles his base up, and that's the ball game.
even if you count out gaza which was a non insignificant issue, this election showed that americans HATE inflation. They hated it in the 70s which gave us reagan, and they hated it now which gave us Trump part 2. Many americans blame Biden for inflation, regardless of the actual economic mechanisms that caused it. I really do not think Joe does better in the election, but at this point it's all speculation. Putting Joe up for election in 2020 was a tactical mistake and the writing was on the wall with the Trump Biden debate in early 2024. There was no winning path for the democrats from that point on.
The fundamental problem with democracy is that average people know basically nothing about economics. So it entirely comes down to parties shit slinging and looking at who has better pr. At least for social issues people know what the issues are even if they have bad takes on them.
Bro the average person doesn’t know shit about hardly anything except maybe how to put their shoes on. Most people just vote on their reactionary feelings and ~vibez~. In a shitty economy people will most likely (rightly or wrongly) flip because they can barely process reading at a 1st grade level. There’s probably people who think the president has a lever in the Oval Office that switches the economy to Bad from Good and vice versa. This country will always be progressing incrementally and probably collapse eventually because the electorate is a bunch of inconsistent morons.
Its crazy because joe had a history of political failure but they put the "nice old man that was with Obamna" there, so people decided that orange man indeed bad.
Then when earlier this year they saw Biden be the floudnering failure he was all his life, they realized that indeed, it wasn't worth it.
Well running off of not being Trump, abortion laws that you cannot change at a federal level with shitty celebrity endorsements will make you go out that way
Exactly. This one sentence is literally THE answer to everyone who can't believe she lost.
Now if this message can be automatically posted to everyone going "how could she lose!?" that'd be fucking great.
Because stop choosing for the people, that's the entire point of T-man. He may be deeply flawed, but they chose him.
Of course people are going to become apathetic once they start feeling their (illusion of?) choice is being eradicated. The D-party treats their potential supporters like babies and children. It feels condescending.
The worst part, as a non-voter, if you don't vote I NEVER hear R-party people insulting and crying about non-voters. D-party are the only people who completely shit on me and act like I'm not human. So yeah, I'm glad he won. I'm not glad **he** won, but I'm glad *he* won. If that makes sense.
Want my vote? Give me better options to choose from. We've been saying this shit for decades and get ignored every time, so now we ignore the elections. Simple as that, there really is no deep complex reasoning behind it.
Oh yeah, that too. Isn't it the D-party that always complains about the ol' hillbilly rural fucks that always vote red no matter what? Same exact thing, just different side.
That's exactly how it works, you're just further reinforcing my point. Enjoy getting the greater evils until your party can get its head out of its butthole and give us a choice and a good one, simple as that. Maybe after y'all lose a few more times it'll finally be drilled into your heads but until then enjoy R-party winning every election from here on out.
Enjoy getting the greater evils until your party can get its head out of its butthole and give us a choice and a good one. Maybe after y'all lose a few more times it'll finally be drilled into your heads but until then enjoy R-party winning every election from here on out.
There's a good reason I said "you" rather than "we". I'm not even on the same continent as you. More to the point, if you think Harris or anyone else in the Dem leadership gives a shit that they lost, I have a bridge to sell you. They're not Musk rich, but they're rich enough to be completely insulated from basically any impact Trump is going to have. Their lives are not going to change in the slightest, yours is.
the greater evil isn't that bad and you guys are being overdramatic.
I really hope you're right, but that Project 2025 thing looks pretty scary.
Of course they care. Billions of potential dollars lost, and billions of real dollars wasted. If they don’t care, they wouldn’t be a political party. Kamala wouldn’t have bothered running, because why would she if she didn’t care about being president
Nah, that's just copium. The reality is that politics is a game to them, kinda like money is a high score to billionaires. You win some, you lose some, oh well. Her life is not going to materially change in the same way yours is.
I haven't heard that many either. But that was my personal feeling about it, at least. I don't like the idea of having someone else winning the primary and choosing their own nominee. That's not democracy imo.
I was fine with it, especially because of how late it happened. Functionally it's not that much different from Joe dying and Kamala taking office, which is something voters agreed to accept when they put Joe in office with her.
People are pissed at the current administration. They blame the current administration for the state of the world. And democrats were stupid enough to put Harris up for election while representing the current administration.
"This president is very unpopular. Despite winning last time, he is less popular than the guy he beat. Let's put up his VP who a lot of leftists don't even like."
Undoing every executive order on the border just simply because it was Trump was such a stupid thing to do. At least just change the stuff you don't like such as separating the families. Don't open the flood gates and just say UwU
Ah you’re right I forgot about that ‘cause it got rolled back after he tried to change it. Not sure how many stayed but the overwhelming majority part sounds spurious. Anyway the only difference in policy /today/ vs trump era is the cruel family separation part
Well if you look at the voting figure you understand that even with garbage candidate like Kamala (btw the whole world know about it, Asian living in Asia here), they will still vote for her/him/them, talking about brainwashed to the core.
He almost got shot in the head trying to show people "the chart", an even then, you still can't open your eyes and see and the border crossing number went up extremely fast the moment Biden got elected. Biden said he would undo closing the border; For better or for worse, he wasn't lying.
I think her association with the current admin and the Gaza situation hurt her. I also think Candace Owens did a lot of damage with black voters with her recent 10ish videos digging into Kamala's ancestry. Then there's her backing out of the Rogan interview. People want authenticity and she's been anything but authentic.
I fully believe that a lot of Biden's decisions were actually Harris'. Biden is totally going to be the Democrats' Reagan where in a couple of years they're just going to admit that his mental abilities were fading during his presidency.
Kamala ran a bad campaign that was out of touch with the average American and alienated their own base. This isn’t surprising at all if you have been paying attention. Also a different landscape then in 2020
I know at least of like 15 democrats who flipped for Trump this year alone. I know personal experience doesn’t always equal the overall reality, but it doesn’t seem like I was the only one who experienced democrats flipping.
Yeah I've been seeing instances of this; you gotta love that logic. "I'm pro-Palestine so instead of voting for Kamala I'm abstaining and helping the person that is even worse for Palestine." Nice.
Can’t get worse than Biden/Kamala, they didn’t do anything to stop the indiscriminate killing. They pretended to care while quietly accepted the ethnic cleansing and genocide. They had no chutzpah.
Trumps first term was the most peaceful term for the Middle East when compared to previous administration and the one after.
I think those Dems flipped to Republicans in key states. Guess we'll see how it goes with an entirely Republican government in 2025-26, can't blame Dems for the fuck ups this time of something goes sideways.
You're thinking of the Gung ho liberal types. But this isn't the entire democratic party. The blue collar unionists and wine mom suburbanites don't have the same priorities. And many just didn't care for what democrats had this time so they stayed home.
Considering how republicans were actually allowed to oversee the vote counting this time I’m a little suspicious about democrats losing 17 million votes. How come they did a LOT worse after we made it more difficult to cheat?
This, paired along with the fact that the democrats have been against voter ID and coincidentally have been very relaxed on the border, makes it so it wouldn’t be at all surprising if it came out that democrats really did cheat.
Also, considering how they’ve behaved and how far theyve gone in trying to win votes I wouldn’t put it past them to commit voter fraud.
True, both parties had a huge jump in 2020. My point is that voting patterns tend to be stable, only varying by a few million plus or minus. If the democrats 2020 jump had been legitimate, they wouldn't have seen a fall back to the 2016 baseline. It's sus as the kids would say.
They can only do it if they're within a margin for the cheating to be feasible. If you have a county of 1 million people you might be able to fabricate 100k extra votes without it being an impossible result, but you can't do much more than that. So in years you are down 80k you can pull it out but in years where you are down 150k your cheating doesn't help you.
So, yeah, I think they did try it again this time but the margin was just too great. Why is it at 10 pm you can click on any decided state like Ohio or Kentucky or Florida and all of Cincinnati and Louisville and Miami were able to count 80% of their votes but 3 hours later in Atlanta and Detroit and Philadelphia and Milwaukee they are still at 12% reporting? It just so happens that in the key swing states there's always 1 metro area that just can't seem to count their votes until after the rest of their state has submitted their totals and they know exactly how many they need to manufacture?
If one was to spoof votes, they would be limited by how many total votes are possible based on the local population and their actual voter turnout. For example if 100% of a population were to cast a real ballot, one could not effectively spoof votes within that population because the total votes would surpass the amount of people able to cast them. If the margin is bigger than the available votes, than spoofing votes will not be enough to change the outcome of an election. This is what is meant when people say "too big to rig". The feasibility of such a scheme wouldn't have anything to do with who is in power of the federal executive branch.
I do think they got away with fraud in 2020, and I don’t think they particularly wanted to win this time. They know the economy is completely fucked and they can’t fix it, so let Trump and the Republicans take the fall for it when the money printer stops.
It's already started. When the economy shits a brick and inflation gears up because his nonsense you'll already blame the Democrats and not Trump's tariffs, tax cuts and trade wars.
Did you notice how the Democrats had more votes than the republicans in 2016 but the republicans still won the election?
Who cares about their votes, the system is shit either way so much that you aren't democratically elected even though you had more people voting for you than your opponent
because OP is trying to imply some conspiracy theory bullshit. the last thing we need is trump spinning up some horseshit election integrity commission. at least now that he won the popular vote he'll be inclined to call it the greatest, most perfect election ever and stop fucking with it
i said specifically said horseshit. just like the last one, they launch these commissions with the end already decided & the commission is an investigation in how to justify whatever horseshit they want to pull. The last one he did was literally just because kris kobach Wormtongued him and ended up being a sham
No “launching investigations into” or “auditing” something is a very common way to weaponize the govt against another part of the govt. it’s not just a republican or democrat thing or a thing a single administration does. like a congressional audit of the fed would be more than the boss looking over your shoulder, it’s the boss leaning all their weight on your shoulder. It’s done to aggressively influence change in the guise of rooting out corruption
Man I don’t have all the answers, I can just smell bullshit when it’s there. This last one had Kris Kobach stank all over it, some of the worst kind. I don’t think Trump is going to want to investigate this one - he won the popular vote so he’s gonna call it the perfect election, the greatest ever.
Because he’s not evaluating them. He’s been saying since August that the dems chest and will chest again with zero evidence.
If he said; «it’s important to double check the integrity of the voting process» that is a fair thing to say. His remarks are needlessly inflammatory when no evidence has been provided.
Just think about the state of politics in 2020. The media had a stranglehold on us during Covid pushing negative trump narratives almost every day. Literally made Election Day feel like doomsday. That was enough motivation to push more Americans to vote.
For this election we kinda just arrived here. Kamala had zero steam. Not enough people cared
It is weird to me that suddenly voter participation magically went up by like 20-30% across the board in a single election. I don't think that's a particularly odd thing to find interesting and odd.
Democrats and Independents were pissed about the handling of the Pandemic. They would have voted for a corpse instead of Trump in 2020. Now the shoe is on the other foot, people are pissed about high prices and stagnating wages.
They didn't want to vote for Trump either. And it's not the voter base, it's people who voted that probably hadn't voted before and other independents who rarely vote. They saw what good voting did them, so they skipped it this year. It's nor too hard to understand why people didn't vote for her.
I agree with you in principle, but what is striking to me, and what I have a hard time believing, is the sheer volume of people that would have to abstain for this to explain an absolutely huge discrepancy.
Democrats put out their candidate a few months before the vote, and that candidate didn't really have much of an identity outside of "Woman Prosecutor". Is she intelligent and does she have finesse to field questions? Sure. But she was dealing with a known variable, one who had already been president too.
The support for Trump is unlike any other candidate's in history in terms of scandal having 0 effect on him. I'm certain documents could've come out that he did have sexual relations with minors on Epstein's Island and it would have 0 sway.
Bush Sr. beat an opposing candidate to get into office who had a 20 point lead on him by saying "Look, this man isn't serious enough and is silly, also he might be sick." and it blew him out of the water. Even Watergate seems so minor in comparison.
The Democrat party would've had to have fielded a very charismatic individual to get a shot.
Kamala had zero finesse to answer any questions - everything was a word salad - no accomplishments as a VP. Dems picked the worst candidate - the people in the party had no true voice, Gavin Newsome is a POS but that guy has the swag to bs his way with anyone. Gabbart is the most intelligent woman in politics, but the party abandoned her. Beshear is a fantastic governor that can work with both sides - he would've flipped me. Dems with the ultimate brain-dead move. They deserve this lol
Dems couldn't have picked someone else without giving up the Biden campaign finance war chest.
At the end of the day she did the same thing Clinton did and ran a campaign on "I'm Not Trump", but with the added baggage of TDS and openly labeling the out-group as racist nazis.
Scandals don’t work on trump because the liberals are crying their crocodile tears. It’s not that scandals don’t work it’s the liberals that have no credibility
I mean, no, trump has been synonymous with sleaze and crime for decades and he was a Democrat most of that time. Scandals don't work when you don't even pretend to be better than them and there's so many it just feels like reality is unrealistic.
The Republican numbers are a lot more consistent though. And they stayed relatively close to a general trend (there are still some AZ/MI votes at large that will likely push Trump closer to 72 million). A 25% increase just once and then back to normal, when Biden was a low-energy establishment candidate, screams of shenanigans.
Voting against an unpopular president is absolutely not enough to justify a 25% spike in votes for one election cycle, and then a nearly equivalent drop despite that same exact unpopular president running again.
Hillary Clinton had far more enthusiasm backing her in 2016 than Biden did in 2020. It wasn't even close. Harris performing as badly as she did makes sense, since she herself was relatively unpopular even among Democrats (she got nothing in her 2020 primary campaign). But Biden getting 81 million votes is an absolutely massive aberration.
Romney getting votes equivalent to ‘prime’ Trump. Biden getting significantly more votes than ‘prime’ Obama. Kamala getting just as many votes as Obama. Idk, man
It was turnout which is why there were more Republican votes too. 66 percent which is the highest over the 58 to 60 range lately while this election might be 55.
It was easier to vote in the last election considering mail in ballots were sent directly to people’s houses due to the pandemic. Turnout was low this time, and that’s why Kamala lost.
Turnout wasn't low. It follows the same trend over the last 20 years. I was told record number people were in lines and voting. Obama tweeted it would take weeks.
It was low for democrats, Trump had about the same amount as the past two elections. Democrats just didn’t show up for Harris. Much less votes for Harris than for Biden.
With the existence of the electoral college and how close the 2020 election was, rigging actually comes down to <50,000 votes. The reality is in most elections only like 6 swing states matter in the entire election, and if you can just barely nudge a couple of them in your favor, you'll win. Not saying they're correct or not, but it isn't outlandish in the slightest. It doesn't require some massive conspiracy. You can flip a close election with a few boxes of ballots
Though the only evidence of this claim is from the guy who lost the election and had a vested interest.
There hasn't been a single piece of evidence provided at any point. It's all hypotheticals and I have no idea how any of you take that seriously from a known pathological liar.
There's only a certain amount of voters per district. So there were so many Trump votes that stealing a district would have put the vote count far above 100% votes to registered voters Thus blatantly showing fraud.
But the conspiracy is that they changed the numbers in the electronic machines, not that that they physically fed an additional thousands of votes through a machine.
Changing a number takes a couple of seconds, you could just lower the number of trump voters that way.
Because there's an upper limit to how many fake votes you can have based on the population of an area you are faking. If you have 100k people and 60k actually vote you only have like 20k to play with to make a reasonable result. If the margin is greater than 20k your cheating can't help you.
Then why did Biden win Philly by smaller margins than Hillary in 2016? Wouldn’t your theory require Biden to win high population centers like Philly by larger margins?
Percentage margin doesn't matter. Look at the raw totals. Hillary won Philly by 455k. Biden won Philly by 471k. Obviously if you are going to pump your number you will have to give back some to the opponent. That's why it can go unnoticed, it just looks like increased turnout with the same or even slightly lesser margins. But you're after the improvement in raw totals and any additional votes even at a 51-49 spread helps.
Well think about what you would do if you wanted to cheat to gain 50k ballots in an area like Philadelphia that normally breaks 6:1 for democrats. Would you just add 50k ballots and have a result that doesn't follow historical trends? Or would you add 60k for your candidate and 10k for the opposition so it breaks exactly the same? Or better yet add 70k for yourself and 20k for your opposition so your opponent actually did better by percentage? All 3 accomplish the same thing (+50k votes) but the latter options are much more obfuscated.
Would you just add 50k ballots and have a result that doesn't follow historical trends? Or would you add 60k for your candidate and 10k for the opposition so it breaks exactly the same?
This has never, ever happened in a presidential election in US history, but I'll play your hypothetical. What makes you think that "historical trends" means anything? Hillary Clinton won Elliot County, KY in 2016. Trump won it 80%-20% this year. Does that mean that Trump cheated in Kentucky because it totally goes against the "historical trend"?
the latter options are much more obfuscated.
Disagree, because adding an extra 70,000 voters that don't even exist to the pool is more obviously fraud than an extra 50,000 voters, even if they all voted the same way.
But none of this happened in the first place, and you have zero evidence to point that it did.
70k turnout can be explained when you have an excuse like new rules due to a pandemic allowing for additional avenues to vote which in turn allows for increased total votes. Furthermore once the turnout has been cheated one time, that establishes a baseline of normalcy that won't be questioned. If you got away with adding 70k votes in insert any election, you would then have carte blanche to add at least 70k votes to that pool for every election going forward in perpetuity, because it's been established that that many votes is indeed possible.
You would only know if this has or hasn't happened if someone got caught doing it so stfu trying to declare that this hasn't happened or couldn't happen.
You would only know if this has or hasn't happened if someone got caught doing it
Has anyone been caught doing this? This sounds like a complex, moving operation with a ton of people doing a lot of things. Not a single whistleblower? Do you have a news story I could look at?
Of course you don't, you're just making this all up!
Of course I am lol. You started this by asking for an explanation for why one election might have hypothetically been riggable but the next one is not. And I'm telling you the explanation would be that if there is rigging, that rigging has an apparatus, and that apparatus is going to have an upper limit of what it can achieve (most notably total feasible votes), and if the real margins are above that upper limit, then that rigging apparatus has been rendered insufficient. The spread at which one side won was too big to rig.
The Democrats had COVID to justify drastic changes to voting rules in the immediate run up to the election like loosening registration requirements and extending deadlines for absentee ballots
No pandemic, no justification for a bunch of bullshit rule changes
Why would you say the rules were rigged? Why are states not allowed to change rules in response to a crisis? Would you say that North Carolina changing their voting rules to allow citizens in counties affected by Hurricane Helene to vote in precincts elsewhere in the state rigged the election for Trump?
If I gerrymander a district to hell in order to improve my chances of winning an election, it is effectively cheating
Same goes for mailing unrequested ballots to every resident of every major city in every swing state, extended deadlines for those ballots, and loosening ID and voter registration requirements
A group like the Democrats, which has a higher propensity to vote via these ballots, or lack ID, or not register to vote, inherently gain an advantage as a result of these rule changes
Same goes for mailing unrequested ballots to every resident of every major city in every swing state, extended deadlines for those ballots, and loosening ID and voter registration requirements
This didn't happen.
But every single swing state universally putting in measures that the majority of the country did not need? Yeah, calling bullshit
Source desperately needed. I think you're misremembering what happened exactly.
Florida processed their vote in a couple hours in the same pandemic that it took Arizona and PA weeks to process under the guise of “postal service delays”
How is this the democrats fault? Both the PA and AZ state governments were controlled by the GOP in 2020.
I mean, I’m sure there are isolated cases of family members or close relatives filling out each others forms. But nothing on a systemic, nefarious level specifically targeting swing states. Unless you have something to show me?
Sorry, I mean I need a source that explicitly states your argument. This is just tangential to the discussion.
No, you can't make inferences and observations from the sources you've gathered. Any additional comments from you MUST be a subset of the information from the sources you've gathered.
You can't make normative statements from empirical evidence.
Do you have a degree in that field?
A college degree? In that field?
Then your arguments are invalid.
No, it doesn't matter how close those data points are correlated. Correlation does not equal causation.
Correlation does not equal causation.
CORRELATION. DOES. NOT. EQUAL. CAUSATION.
You still haven't provided me a valid source yet.
Nope, still haven't.
I just looked through all 308 pages of your user history, figures I'm debating a glormpf supporter. A moron.
This would be a valid argument if a single person gave me single thing to back up literally anything they are saying but they refuse to. Cute copypasta tho
People found out their parents whom died recently cause covid were finding that their relatives were using their vote. It happened here and there but as said, prolly not enough for it to matter.
Also stop commenting like such a dweeb. Go outside
I'm not saying that. what I'm saying is, Trump was in an economic war with China which would've continued if he was reelected. Democrats needed something BIG to stop a president from getting his second term.
then Covid hits and now democrats have an excuse to change many long-standing rules regarding elections.
Biden is elected with 75m votes. then, somehow 17m of those votes vanish in the span of 4 years...
That's not really a good counter-argument. Let me ask you, where did the 17m votes go then? Was is because the democrats forgot "literally Hitler" was running again or because Joe didn't have his amazing campaign this time around? I don't have much skin in this, I think both candidates are awful, but when 17m people just randomly start and then stop voting, it's odd. Especially when taken in context of all the other years, and the counting chaos on election night.
Because if their daily lives are shit, people are motivated to vote out the current administration, or at the very least won't bother to go out and vote.
I think we can all agree that the last few years have been fairly shit on several levels, thus the low turnout for the Dems.
Note that I'm not from the US so I cannot comment on their quality of life nor how it evolved, but it's logical. The same thing happened in 2020 when Trump got voted out after Covid.
Not in the States where they needed them. Look at the election changes in Georgia. But really 20 million people just didn't vote this time is what you are going with? Both sound crazy to me.
We haven’t gotten full results back yet, so hold your horses, but yes, I think it’s much more likely that we had a lower turnout election then your theory, that the dems couldn’t print ballots fast enough lmfao
That makes no sense. Why couldn’t democrats just do the same thing this time? Why would this time be easier to catch? Literally nothing got caught last time.
In theory to cheat a close election you only need a few thousand fake ballots in a couple counties. In this election it would have required a far more expansive effort.
I can only say for PA. The Repubs really upped their ground game this cycle and made it abundantly clear that they had eyes all over the state and lawyers that were ready to litigate the smallest discrepancy. They won a couple of cases during early voting.
i'm not saying they did last time, but hypothetically if they did, and didn't this time, it's because of how arrogant they are. they just didn't bother.
the left lives in a fantasy world and they thought they checked the diversity boxes that surly couldn't lose. it's the exact same shit that happens at Disney. they release their slop and get mad and surprised when in reality nobody actually wants it.
You don't necessarily need both or neither. I'm thinking Trump is likely to say that they kept a close eye on this election so they stopped the rigging before it got off the ground. He even has successful lawsuits he can point to for that.
That lawsuit is irrelevant to the claims from the 2020 election. Trump never claimed he lost because a couple of voters from Bucks County were turned away improperly, he claims he lost because democrats dumped hundreds of thousands of ballots perfectly coordinated to beat him across 5 different swing states, entirely localized to those cities.
People are so fucking stupid, it's not going to wake anyone up. Trump is going to help Israel for 4 years, Dems will flail their hands and do nothing, and by 2028 it'll be too late for anyone to do anything for Palestine
Nah. Trump will definitely get the saudi backed seizefire. Israel's ready to give up all land it has taken as long as Saudi and UAE take over administration instead or hamas regrouping.
US bloc arab countries will go under the guise of rebuilding efforts than just keep control.
Keep in mind this deal was already penned under biden and even approved by israel but it didn't materialize.
Reminds me of the time Iran took American hostages and Jimmy Carter lost the election coz of his inability to get them back.
Up until the day of the election iran was like "were never releasing these mfkrs"
And exactly three minutes after Regan was sworn in, they released the hostages.
If there's a breakthrough no side wants to waste it on a party that's losing trust and popularity. They're holding off to get on the new White House's good side.
Screenshot this comment. There will be a ceasefire, Saudi will step in, Hamas won't be allowed to rear its head.
the correct answer is that the democrats picked a shitty candidate that no one was ever going to vote for, so instead of voting for her, people stayed home
Only 17 out of 45 US presidents have won more than 1 election, although a few were ineligible to run more than once since they were serving the remainder of a previous president's term like Truman, Johnson, and Ford. Still under 50% either way. It's embarrassing that you probably consider yourself an informed voter but couldn't even bother to get your shit straight on a topic as simple as presidential election history.
Just confirms what we already knew. People who don’t care about voting, will vote democrat if you make it convenient enough. Including the illegals and dead.
Tinfoil hat gets larger when you see that about 2 million voters from the 2020 election didn't re-register on the Democrat side along with the death toll across 2017-2020 was about 12 million. 81 - 67 = 14
And it's bullshit, the vote tally is not final yet. California is about halfway counted, that alone is ~5.5 million more votes for dems. Low effort bait.
The 2020 election came off of 4 of constant trump bad media coverage and covid. It’s not a stretch at all to believe that would cause more people to vote democrat
Mail in ballots dudes, covid rules. They sent mail in ballots to anyone and everyone, all you had to do was fill them out and drop them in the mail, is it any wonder they got more votes? Too fucking easy. Heavily favored the demonrats.
The American attention span is rediculious. Biden had major support because we had just finished for years under Trump. And we will have major dem turnout in 4 years from now again.
This drives me right up the wall, especially since I don't post on the chans.
You fucking math illiterate motherfuckers are so infuriating. I started seeing posts like this last night before the goddamn polls had closed, millions of votes ago. It's already 67 not 64, and Trump closing in on 72.
Go look at the results, and hover over a state to see what the % reporting is. California has ~10,000,000 votes, with 54% reporting. That means there will be another 9-10 million votes, just in fucking California, when the reporting reaches 100%.
You will not see a (worrying) significant drop in four days when everything is tallied, just an adjustment for the people who decided not to vote for one of many perfectly valid reasons.
Of course you aren't reading it. If you could read you'd be so embarrassed
I knew that Trump would win. The DNC made it inevitable. I didn't vote for teh Kamalas. I would not be happy with any likely result. But at least I can do math.
It didn’t? It was basically the same as 2020. Still an impressive turnout for him with some ebb and flow among demographics. The big story in this election was evaporation of democratic support. She’s projected to get less votes than Clinton ffs
Not true on either count, Trump already has 2 million more votes than 2020 and they are still counting. Additionally, harris already has a million more votes than Hillary did and again, they are still counting. This is simply a case of trump running a better campaign and swaying a lot of moderates.
The 65M+16M= 81M votes democrats received were an conscious choice by the voters to get rid of Trump because he was terrible. 4 Years pass and 17M voters forgot how terrible he was? So 17M voters didn't go to vote to prevent Trump?
a friend living in the US told me he believes the republicans "helped" (wink-wink) biden win in 2020 to try to get trump out of politics and in jail, essentially getting rid of him forever. the problem was the dems flopped extremely hard and in return reps where like "k, plan B. lets lean full power on trump again to try and get as rich as possible, even if it means going full on backwards intellectually and societally"

insertkarma2theleft@reddit
It was an election with a larger than normal percentage of mail in votes, with a postal service that was partially disabled. It makes sense things would take longer when our election system wasn't used to handling that volume of mail ins and the USPS was slower at actually moving mail across the country than normal.

That's what happens when they skip actually allowing Democrats to select a candidate.
SalvationSycamore@reddit
I haven't heard anyone besides Republicans complain about that. Probably because there was no other feasible option.
drconn@reddit
I have a serious issue with the way they shielded Biden because they thought he was the best chance, even though it was very obvious the previous few months that something was going on, and then once forced to choose another candidate, their inaction robbed the Democrat voters from having a say in who it would be. That whole event felt as much a threat to democracy as everything that was being said about Trump, but it actually happened. Call me dumb, or blind, but you can't scream about the end of democracy while denying it from your own party.
NerdOctopus@reddit
Yep, if there's anything Republicans and Dems agree on now, it's that the latter should have had a real primary. Hindsight.
AnotherScoutTrooper@reddit
The left and right agreed on that when Kamala was first officially made the replacement, then the bots were reprogrammed

iHateReddit_srsly@reddit
The thing is, for people who were gonna reliably vote democrat, she was great. For everyone else, it was a tough sell.
NerdOctopus@reddit
Oh that was that out there too. I think it was a legitimate step up from Biden, but there was also concerns about the lack of primary and her lack of experience (ironic, given Trump was a reality star before 2016). Also starting her campaign late.
Rydagod1@reddit
I still think a competitive primary would’ve been even worse than picking Kamala. The best outcome would’ve been Biden never intending to run a 2nd time.
Not2creativeHere@reddit
I agree. I voted Trump, but I think Biden would have been tougher. I think the fear was that his decline was accelerating so fast, should he win, it would a disaster when he spoke to Americans (and the world). I also fully believe massive fraud delivered Biden in 2020.
Redditbecamefacebook@reddit
There are some points I'm willing to concede to conservatives, but this is one is pure, anti-American, treasonous, horseshit. Believe what you want, but some beliefs are an indication that you're genuinely stupid.
Not2creativeHere@reddit
Explain twenty million less people voting for Harris (who was more popular than Biden we were told), than for Biden. These people NEVER existed. I think the anti-American, treasonous, horseshit, are the those who disregarded election law or changed it to account for unverified/no-chain of custody of ballots to count. And the judges who chose not to look at it. Trust but verify my friend. You had the Biden DoJ threaten anyone doing a canvass (in Arizona I think) with jail time. So to look at locations where ballots were cast was punishable by jail. You sound unhinged.
bunker_man@reddit
Not2creativeHere@reddit
Hence 15-20 million less Harris voters.
bunker_man@reddit
Yeah, none of this happened. This should have occurred to you when even republican judges and trump's own people he paid to do a recount all agreed that nothing happened. If there were errors to the tune of millions how did trump's recounters not notice anything.
Redditbecamefacebook@reddit
Covid. Trump intentionally tried to kill people because he thought it would be worse for Dems, and it was immediately prior to the election.
So fucking stupid that people like you can blindly acknowledge his polarizing nature when it's good for you, but pretend it doesn't exist when it's bad for you.
bunker_man@reddit
I mean, they could have ran someone else in primaries who wasn't biden.
ILoveWesternBlot@reddit
Nah I think he does even worse lol. Trump just hammers age and sleepy joe into the minds of everyone + inflation and you probably end up with a bigger blowout than what we got. I’m talking red Virginia swing state NJ type shit
seriouslyuncouth_@reddit
He was not a well liked candidate in 20
ILoveWesternBlot@reddit
4 years of trump heavily motivated votes against him. Two of the biggest concerns about Joe early in 2024 were inflation and his age/cognitive decline which was shown in the debate. Neither of these were huge points of concern for him in 2020.
seriouslyuncouth_@reddit
That doesn’t mean he was a well liked candidate lol. He could barely string a sentence together.
ILoveWesternBlot@reddit
yeah but the point is that he was 100x more disliked now with actual leveragable administrative issues against him (inflation, gaza). He would have gotten cooked if he ran.

Much agreed. I remember he started signing a million executive orders as soon as he was in office and America had to get energy from elsewhere for the first time in however long.
Funnily enough the happiest smile I ever saw him flash was with the trumpet hat
Pooyiong@reddit
Trump currently can't string a full sentence together, yet here we are. Cognitive decline is not an issue for voters.
chiefoogabooga@reddit
Obviously not true. One of Trump’s biggest issues is he talks way too much, not that he can’t put a sentence together.
bunker_man@reddit
He doesn't say coherent sentences though. A lot of it is gibberish. If Vance was bond enough he would just declare Trump not mentally fit for office and take over in a year or two.
Pooyiong@reddit
Right, but if you actually look at the content of his ramblings you realize how little is actually being said and how impossible it is for him to stay on topic and address whatever question he was presented with.
It's all word salad, man. Tired of these old diaper wearing fucks getting cheered for. The minimum age for presidency is only 35, since Obama we haven't had a president that isn't at risk of keeling over at any moment.
I shudder to imagine how much we get laughed at whenever Trump or Biden go to meet with these world leaders, surely they're cackling after they leave the room.
TheDangerdog@reddit
Yes because all the other world leaders are such inspiring people. A real bunch of go getters.
chiefoogabooga@reddit
You'll get no argument from me that these are the best candidates available. We could obviously do better on both sides. But that's an issue to deal with during the primaries, not the day after the election.
Pooyiong@reddit
Good thing we kneecapped ourselves by skipping those and shoving Harris in at the 11th hour and running an absolutely abysmal campaign while Trump nailed demographics he logically shouldn't have won.
Harris, her team, and the 15 million people that didn't vote democrat this time totally shit the bed. The worst part is that Trump didn't even perform better than he did last time, there's just a bunch of people who for whatever reason didn't wanna vote this time.
vmpafq@reddit
Joe could barely walk or talk in 2020 also. People really voted against Trump in 2020, or the dems rigged that election late.
Head-Calligrapher-99@reddit
He is the second most popular president in US history. He was liked in 2020, Biden was liked more.

ILoveWesternBlot@reddit
people dont care that Trump probably "finishes the job" in gaza, like they don't care that tariffs would actually make prices worse. They associate these problems with the democrats, Trump riles his base up, and that's the ball game.
bunker_man@reddit
Which is wierd as hell, because Republicans bend over backwards for israel.
oby100@reddit
Most people don’t pay any attention to politics. Joe would have done better because people know who he is and he’s the current president.
Nearsighted_Beholder@reddit
True, but people pay attention to debates. Post dropout, Joe has been largely hidden from the public for a reason.
ILoveWesternBlot@reddit
even if you count out gaza which was a non insignificant issue, this election showed that americans HATE inflation. There was no winning path for the democrats from that point on.
bunker_man@reddit
The fundamental problem with democracy is that average people know basically nothing about economics. So it entirely comes down to parties shit slinging and looking at who has better pr. At least for social issues people know what the issues are even if they have bad takes on them.
spicoli420@reddit
Bro the average person doesn’t know shit about hardly anything except maybe how to put their shoes on. Most people just vote on their reactionary feelings and ~vibez~. In a shitty economy people will most likely (rightly or wrongly) flip because they can barely process reading at a 1st grade level. There’s probably people who think the president has a lever in the Oval Office that switches the economy to Bad from Good and vice versa. This country will always be progressing incrementally and probably collapse eventually because the electorate is a bunch of inconsistent morons.
Bricc_Enjoyer@reddit
Its crazy because joe had a history of political failure but they put the "nice old man that was with Obamna" there, so people decided that orange man indeed bad.
Then when earlier this year they saw Biden be the floudnering failure he was all his life, they realized that indeed, it wasn't worth it.

Undoing every executive order on the border just simply because it was Trump was such a stupid thing to do. At least just change the stuff you don't like such as separating the families. Don't open the flood gates and just say UwU
skratch@reddit
they didn't. they literally only undid the family separation thing & thats why biden arrested more at the border than trump
jamesd1100@reddit
That’s not true, they eliminated remain in Mexico literally immediately
Which meant that now all asylum seekers are free to roam the US until their court date that the overwhelming majority of whom never show up for
That was THE largest mistake on immigration and it was a day one initiative by Biden
skratch@reddit
Ah you’re right I forgot about that ‘cause it got rolled back after he tried to change it. Not sure how many stayed but the overwhelming majority part sounds spurious. Anyway the only difference in policy /today/ vs trump era is the cruel family separation part

I think her association with the current admin and the Gaza situation hurt her. SharkMilk44@reddit

TudorrrrTudprrrr@reddit
From 2016 to 2020 there was an 11m change. Yes, it's close to the same.
Key_Catch7249@reddit
Considering how republicans were actually allowed to oversee the vote counting this time I’m a little suspicious about democrats losing 17 million votes. How come they did a LOT worse after we made it more difficult to cheat?
This, paired along with the fact that the democrats have been against voter ID and coincidentally have been very relaxed on the border, makes it so it wouldn’t be at all surprising if it came out that democrats really did cheat.
Also, considering how they’ve behaved and how far theyve gone in trying to win votes I wouldn’t put it past them to commit voter fraud.
DownwindLegday@reddit
Of course they didn't lose too many votes this year, they won. Watch what happens when they pick an unpopular candidate.
trainderail88@reddit
Did you notice how republicans didn't suddenly lose 20 percent of their votes?
HillaryApologist@reddit
I mean, there's also still like 10+ million votes that haven't been counted yet. This whole post is just forgetting how counting works.
DownwindLegday@reddit
They gained 17% from 2016 to 2020.
trainderail88@reddit
True, both parties had a huge jump in 2020. My point is that voting patterns tend to be stable, only varying by a few million plus or minus. If the democrats 2020 jump had been legitimate, they wouldn't have seen a fall back to the 2016 baseline. It's sus as the kids would say.
pad2016@reddit
If you really think they got away with fraud back then, why do you think they didn't try it again this time?
peckx063@reddit
27dwarfs@reddit
So they managed to cheat when they weren’t in power but now when they are in power they couldn’t. Interesting
peckx063@reddit
If one was to spoof votes, they would be limited by how many total votes are possible based on the local population and their actual voter turnout. For example if 100% of a population were to cast a real ballot, one could not effectively spoof votes within that population because the total votes would surpass the amount of people able to cast them. If the margin is bigger than the available votes, than spoofing votes will not be enough to change the outcome of an election. This is what is meant when people say "too big to rig". The feasibility of such a scheme wouldn't have anything to do with who is in power of the federal executive branch.
Noke_swog@reddit
Hmm what was happening in 2020 that was significantly different from 2024…? I wonder…
chiefoogabooga@reddit
I do think they got away with fraud in 2020, and I don’t think they particularly wanted to win this time. They know the economy is completely fucked and they can’t fix it, so let Trump and the Republicans take the fall for it when the money printer stops.
bunker_man@reddit
If you can fix elections you don't need to fix the economy because you can just stay in power...

Trump will likely finish close to 74m again. You're saying that Kamala likely finishing 10 MILLION short of the total from last election isn't odd?
TudorrrrTudprrrr@reddit
2016 63 million
2020 74 million
You're saying Trump finishing 11 MILLION more than he did 4 years prior isn't odd???
... Stop trying to derive meaning from numbers you don't understand jack shit about.
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
Yeah, that's also odd to me. Why are you so pissed off?
skratch@reddit
because OP is trying to imply some conspiracy theory bullshit. the last thing we need is trump spinning up some horseshit election integrity commission. at least now that he won the popular vote he'll be inclined to call it the greatest, most perfect election ever and stop fucking with it
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
What's wrong with evaluating the integrity of elections? Isn't transparency the goal?
skratch@reddit
i said specifically said horseshit. just like the last one, they launch these commissions with the end already decided & the commission is an investigation in how to justify whatever horseshit they want to pull. The last one he did was literally just because kris kobach Wormtongued him and ended up being a sham
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
So you're okay with election integrity being evaluated, you're just accusing this particular administration of corruption
skratch@reddit
No “launching investigations into” or “auditing” something is a very common way to weaponize the govt against another part of the govt. it’s not just a republican or democrat thing or a thing a single administration does. like a congressional audit of the fed would be more than the boss looking over your shoulder, it’s the boss leaning all their weight on your shoulder. It’s done to aggressively influence change in the guise of rooting out corruption
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
So how should they go about investigating elections then, what would be a more fair and reasonable method to keep elections transparent?
skratch@reddit
Man I don’t have all the answers, I can just smell bullshit when it’s there. This last one had Kris Kobach stank all over it, some of the worst kind. I don’t think Trump is going to want to investigate this one - he won the popular vote so he’s gonna call it the perfect election, the greatest ever.
Maowzy@reddit
Because he’s not evaluating them. He’s been saying since August that the dems chest and will chest again with zero evidence.
If he said; «it’s important to double check the integrity of the voting process» that is a fair thing to say. His remarks are needlessly inflammatory when no evidence has been provided.
applepumper@reddit
Just think about the state of politics in 2020. The media had a stranglehold on us during Covid pushing negative trump narratives almost every day. Literally made Election Day feel like doomsday. That was enough motivation to push more Americans to vote.
For this election we kinda just arrived here. Kamala had zero steam. Not enough people cared
cc81@reddit
Isn't it weird how Trump suddenly got 11 million more votes? Same candidate as before.
Voting results tends to be stable.
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
It is weird to me that suddenly voter participation magically went up by like 20-30% across the board in a single election. I don't think that's a particularly odd thing to find interesting and odd.
cc81@reddit
So you think Trump also cheated?
Also why would democrats cheat by adding so many votes in California for example? They would win that regardless
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
I mean you can add a gazillion votes and make it believable by adding them in a 60/40 split, as an example.
It's not some cosmic certainty, but it's a pretty striking peculiarity.
bunker_man@reddit
So you claim this was to make it believable despite you at a glance insisting it's not believable without any knowledge of the stats involved?
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
The ratio was made to be believable, not the absolute number of votes.
Reading, friend
bunker_man@reddit
Sure, but the reason was because Trump was polarizing so it brought more people out to vote.
DownwindLegday@reddit
You mean a deeply unpopular candidate won't get a lot of popular votes? So weird.
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
Clinton, Biden and Kamala weren't exactly "popular". You think it makes sense that Joe got 16 million more votes than Barack Obama?
bunker_man@reddit
Obama wasn't running agaisnt trump.
DownwindLegday@reddit
Democrats and Independents were pissed about the handling of the Pandemic. They would have voted for a corpse instead of Trump in 2020. Now the shoe is on the other foot, people are pissed about high prices and stagnating wages.
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit
So 17% of their entire voter base was so pissed that, instead of voting at all, they were galvanized into extraordinary action by... doing nothing?
DownwindLegday@reddit
They didn't want to vote for Trump either. And it's not the voter base, it's people who voted that probably hadn't voted before and other independents who rarely vote. They saw what good voting did them, so they skipped it this year. It's nor too hard to understand why people didn't vote for her.
Basedandtendiepilled@reddit

The Democrat party would've had to have fielded a very charismatic individual to get a shot.
nissan240sx@reddit
Kamala had zero finesse to answer any questions - everything was a word salad - no accomplishments as a VP. Dems picked the worst candidate - the people in the party had no true voice, Gavin Newsome is a POS but that guy has the swag to bs his way with anyone. Gabbart is the most intelligent woman in politics, but the party abandoned her. Beshear is a fantastic governor that can work with both sides - he would've flipped me. Dems with the ultimate brain-dead move. They deserve this lol

Dems couldn't have picked someone else without giving up the Biden campaign finance war chest.

ahamel13@reddit
The Republican numbers are a lot more consistent though. And they stayed relatively close to a general trend (there are still some AZ/MI votes at large that will likely push Trump closer to 72 million). A 25% increase just once and then back to normal, when Biden was a low-energy establishment candidate, screams of shenanigans.
cc81@reddit
Voters vote against the current president if the time under that president has been rough.
Trump had Covid and fucked it up in many ways. People wanted change.
Biden had inflation and cost of living crisis. Did pretty ok but does not matter, people want change.
ahamel13@reddit
Voting against an unpopular president is absolutely not enough to justify a 25% spike in votes for one election cycle, and then a nearly equivalent drop despite that same exact unpopular president running again.
Hillary Clinton had far more enthusiasm backing her in 2016 than Biden did in 2020. It wasn't even close. Harris performing as badly as she did makes sense, since she herself was relatively unpopular even among Democrats (she got nothing in her 2020 primary campaign). But Biden getting 81 million votes is an absolutely massive aberration.
cc81@reddit
Why would they add votes in California?

Stockholmedstatist@reddit
Turnout wasn't low. It follows the same trend over the last 20 years. I was told record number people were in lines and voting. Obama tweeted it would take weeks.
MJisaFraud@reddit
It was low for democrats, Trump had about the same amount as the past two elections. Democrats just didn’t show up for Harris. Much less votes for Harris than for Biden.

ChaseballBat@reddit

zZCycoZz@reddit

Expert-Accountant780@reddit
Kamala lost
SkizerzTheAlmighty@reddit
With the existence of the electoral college and how close the 2020 election was, rigging actually comes down to <50,000 votes. The reality is in most elections only like 6 swing states matter in the entire election, and if you can just barely nudge a couple of them in your favor, you'll win. Not saying they're correct or not, but it isn't outlandish in the slightest. It doesn't require some massive conspiracy. You can flip a close election with a few boxes of ballots
zZCycoZz@reddit
Though the only evidence of this claim is from the guy who lost the election and had a vested interest.

That_Guy381@reddit
But the conspiracy is that they changed the numbers in the electronic machines, not that that they physically fed an additional thousands of votes through a machine.
Changing a number takes a couple of seconds, you could just lower the number of trump voters that way.
youremomgay420@reddit
You’re in r/4chan. At least 90% of these people speak without thinking. Assume everything is complete BS unless given evidence showcasing otherwise
peckx063@reddit
Because there's an upper limit to how many fake votes you can have based on the population of an area you are faking. If you have 100k people and 60k actually vote you only have like 20k to play with to make a reasonable result. If the margin is greater than 20k your cheating can't help you.
That_Guy381@reddit
Then why did Biden win Philly by smaller margins than Hillary in 2016? Wouldn’t your theory require Biden to win high population centers like Philly by larger margins?
peckx063@reddit
Percentage margin doesn't matter. Look at the raw totals. Hillary won Philly by 455k. Biden won Philly by 471k. Obviously if you are going to pump your number you will have to give back some to the opponent. That's why it can go unnoticed, it just looks like increased turnout with the same or even slightly lesser margins. But you're after the improvement in raw totals and any additional votes even at a 51-49 spread helps.
That_Guy381@reddit
Why is this "obvious"? Can't you just say that you turned out your own voters, or converted some of Trump's voters?
peckx063@reddit
Well think about what you would do if you wanted to cheat to gain 50k ballots in an area like Philadelphia that normally breaks 6:1 for democrats. Would you just add 50k ballots and have a result that doesn't follow historical trends? Or would you add 60k for your candidate and 10k for the opposition so it breaks exactly the same? Or better yet add 70k for yourself and 20k for your opposition so your opponent actually did better by percentage? All 3 accomplish the same thing (+50k votes) but the latter options are much more obfuscated.
That_Guy381@reddit
This has never, ever happened in a presidential election in US history, but I'll play your hypothetical. What makes you think that "historical trends" means anything? Hillary Clinton won Elliot County, KY in 2016. Trump won it 80%-20% this year. Does that mean that Trump cheated in Kentucky because it totally goes against the "historical trend"?
Disagree, because adding an extra 70,000 voters that don't even exist to the pool is more obviously fraud than an extra 50,000 voters, even if they all voted the same way.
But none of this happened in the first place, and you have zero evidence to point that it did.
peckx063@reddit
That_Guy381@reddit
Has anyone been caught doing this? This sounds like a complex, moving operation with a ton of people doing a lot of things. Not a single whistleblower? Do you have a news story I could look at?
Of course you don't, you're just making this all up!
peckx063@reddit
Of course I am lol. You started this by asking for an explanation for why one election might have hypothetically been riggable but the next one is not. And I'm telling you the explanation would be that if there is rigging, that rigging has an apparatus, and that apparatus is going to have an upper limit of what it can achieve (most notably total feasible votes), and if the real margins are above that upper limit, then that rigging apparatus has been rendered insufficient. The spread at which one side won was too big to rig.
jamesd1100@reddit
It’s not about size of anything
The Democrats had COVID to justify drastic changes to voting rules in the immediate run up to the election like loosening registration requirements and extending deadlines for absentee ballots
No pandemic, no justification for a bunch of bullshit rule changes
That is LITERALLY what happened
That_Guy381@reddit
Okay, but that’s not cheating, nor is that what Trump is complaining about.
Trump says that they created thousands of ballots out of thin air. Why didn’t they do that this time?
jamesd1100@reddit
Rigging the rules of an election and blatantly fabricating ballots are simply not the same thing
That_Guy381@reddit
Why would you say the rules were rigged? Why are states not allowed to change rules in response to a crisis? Would you say that North Carolina changing their voting rules to allow citizens in counties affected by Hurricane Helene to vote in precincts elsewhere in the state rigged the election for Trump?
jamesd1100@reddit
If I gerrymander a district to hell in order to improve my chances of winning an election, it is effectively cheating
Same goes for mailing unrequested ballots to every resident of every major city in every swing state, extended deadlines for those ballots, and loosening ID and voter registration requirements
A group like the Democrats, which has a higher propensity to vote via these ballots, or lack ID, or not register to vote, inherently gain an advantage as a result of these rule changes
That_Guy381@reddit

That_Guy381@reddit
You all are just spitballing and seeing what sticks to the wall at this point
greasydickfingers@reddit
Wait you guys actually believe this? I thought it was just a meme
Alkyline_Chemist@reddit
> Too big to rig this time.
You say in the thread acknowledging there was smaller turnout than last election.
ChaseballBat@reddit
He had less votes this year for him than in 2020...
IronJackk@reddit
They didn’t have the guise of Covid to send out millions of mail in ballots
That_Guy381@reddit
Are mail in ballots not valid votes?
IronJackk@reddit
Not when they are filled out for other people. It opens the door to fraud as we saw in 2020
That_Guy381@reddit
You're making that up, no one filled it out for other people.
sfink06@reddit
Literally no one?? Not a single one??
That_Guy381@reddit
I mean, I’m sure there are isolated cases of family members or close relatives filling out each others forms. But nothing on a systemic, nefarious level specifically targeting swing states. Unless you have something to show me?
RedOtta019@reddit
It is true that people who were dead were voting but honestly I strongly doubt it was enough to change the election🤷♂️
That_Guy381@reddit
No, that’s not true. Why do you think it is? What evidence do you have?
cope-seeethe-dilate@reddit
Source? Source? Source?
Do you have a source on that?
Source?
A source. I need a source.
A moron.
That_Guy381@reddit
This would be a valid argument if a single person gave me single thing to back up literally anything they are saying but they refuse to. Cute copypasta tho
RedOtta019@reddit
People found out their parents whom died recently cause covid were finding that their relatives were using their vote. It happened here and there but as said, prolly not enough for it to matter.
Also stop commenting like such a dweeb. Go outside
That_Guy381@reddit
What people? Where? Do you have the story? Were the people arrested? That’s a felony.
captcha_bot@reddit
No need this time, the noses already own Trump, he's their guy.
That_Guy381@reddit
Ah, so the jews stole the last election, but now because they’ve captured Trump unlike in 2020, they no longer have to rig it? Do I have that right?
D0GAMA1@reddit
No mysteries disease out of nowhere this time around to muddy the water....
That_Guy381@reddit
Oh, so the Democrats released Covid to rig the election in 2020? That’s the line you’re going with?
D0GAMA1@reddit
I'm not saying that. what I'm saying is, Trump was in an economic war with China which would've continued if he was reelected. Democrats needed something BIG to stop a president from getting his second term.
then Covid hits and now democrats have an excuse to change many long-standing rules regarding elections.
Biden is elected with 75m votes. then, somehow 17m of those votes vanish in the span of 4 years...
dotamonkey24@reddit
Christ the world must be a confusing place when you’re this schizo
Many_SuchCases@reddit
That's not really a good counter-argument. Let me ask you, where did the 17m votes go then? Was is because the democrats forgot "literally Hitler" was running again or because Joe didn't have his amazing campaign this time around? I don't have much skin in this, I think both candidates are awful, but when 17m people just randomly start and then stop voting, it's odd. Especially when taken in context of all the other years, and the counting chaos on election night.
GothmogTheOrc@reddit
Because if their daily lives are shit, people are motivated to vote out the current administration, or at the very least won't bother to go out and vote.
I think we can all agree that the last few years have been fairly shit on several levels, thus the low turnout for the Dems.
Note that I'm not from the US so I cannot comment on their quality of life nor how it evolved, but it's logical. The same thing happened in 2020 when Trump got voted out after Covid.
dotamonkey24@reddit
Or it’s really just not that odd and you’re a schizo.
ChaseballBat@reddit
What rules did they change?
They vanished because some switched to Republican.
FearErection@reddit
No, but hypothetically they certainly could have used covid as a cover for alleged shenanigans via mail in ballots.
That_Guy381@reddit
Does your hypothetical have a single shred of evidence
FearErection@reddit
I chose the words hypothetically and alleged for a reason.
That_Guy381@reddit
great so you’re just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks
FearErection@reddit
I chose those words specifically to not get involved in a shit flinging contest and to put no weight behind the idea that the election was stolen.
PlasticAssistance_50@reddit
Yes.
bunker_man@reddit
That doesn't make the Republicans look any better considering Trump would have won in 2020 if he didn't bungle covid.
PlasticAssistance_50@reddit
Fuck "looking better", now we try to focus on actually winning.
Stockholmedstatist@reddit
They were all marked for Biden. And the polling switched when Kamala was running so they couldn't get more ballots from Georgia or Penns.
That_Guy381@reddit
So they couldn’t rig it because 100 days was not enough time to print more ballots? That’s your theory?
Stockholmedstatist@reddit
Not in the States where they needed them. Look at the election changes in Georgia. But really 20 million people just didn't vote this time is what you are going with? Both sound crazy to me.
That_Guy381@reddit
We haven’t gotten full results back yet, so hold your horses, but yes, I think it’s much more likely that we had a lower turnout election then your theory, that the dems couldn’t print ballots fast enough lmfao
sumsaphh@reddit
they stopped rigging voting machines because they were under heavy observation this time.
sink_pisser_@reddit
It's just that last time they only needed some strategic cheating to swing things. This time Trump was too favored, cheating can't overcome that
That_Guy381@reddit
That makes no sense. Why couldn’t democrats just do the same thing this time? Why would this time be easier to catch? Literally nothing got caught last time.
Agitated-Tourist9845@reddit
No lockdowns, less mail ins>fewer opportunities to make up votes.
That_Guy381@reddit
Do you have a single shred of evidence to back up that claim? Of course you don’t. Just admit Trump lied to you, christ.
bunker_man@reddit
Somehow they can't give up the lie even though trump won again and it doesn't mater anymore.
sink_pisser_@reddit
In theory to cheat a close election you only need a few thousand fake ballots in a couple counties. In this election it would have required a far more expansive effort.
That_Guy381@reddit
So your evidence that Biden cheated is that Biden did a lot better
sink_pisser_@reddit
No, that's not the evidence that's just the idea. Read better or something idk
why_oh_why36@reddit
I can only say for PA. The Repubs really upped their ground game this cycle and made it abundantly clear that they had eyes all over the state and lawyers that were ready to litigate the smallest discrepancy. They won a couple of cases during early voting.
That_Guy381@reddit
So your proof of fraud for 2020 is that there was no fraud in 2024?
Free-Design-8329@reddit
They tightened up election security
Votes mysteriously don’t appear this time
That_Guy381@reddit
They did, you just didn’t notice because it wasn’t enough to get Kamala over the line.
HotTakeGenerator_v5@reddit
i'm not saying they did last time, but hypothetically if they did, and didn't this time, it's because of how arrogant they are. they just didn't bother.
the left lives in a fantasy world and they thought they checked the diversity boxes that surly couldn't lose. it's the exact same shit that happens at Disney. they release their slop and get mad and surprised when in reality nobody actually wants it.

PresentContest1634@reddit
You don't necessarily need both or neither. I'm thinking Trump is likely to say that they kept a close eye on this election so they stopped the rigging before it got off the ground. He even has successful lawsuits he can point to for that.
That_Guy381@reddit
What successful lawsuits?
PresentContest1634@reddit
https://www.reuters.com/legal/judge-orders-pennsylvania-county-extend-mail-ballot-deadline-after-trump-lawsuit-2024-10-30/
That_Guy381@reddit
That lawsuit is irrelevant to the claims from the 2020 election. Trump never claimed he lost because a couple of voters from Bucks County were turned away improperly, he claims he lost because democrats dumped hundreds of thousands of ballots perfectly coordinated to beat him across 5 different swing states, entirely localized to those cities.
PresentContest1634@reddit
I said he has successful lawsuits he can point to to prove he stopped the rigging in its tracks.
That_Guy381@reddit
Yeah; and I said that’s not the case at all and this lawsuit has nothing to do with the “rigging” he claimed happened in 2020
cry_w@reddit
The point they are making is that he can point to them, not that what he's pointing to would properly support it.

But fr makes sense, was a yuge anti genocide push to simply not vote democrat to wake em up
SalvationSycamore@reddit
People are so fucking stupid, it's not going to wake anyone up. Trump is going to help Israel for 4 years, Dems will flail their hands and do nothing, and by 2028 it'll be too late for anyone to do anything for Palestine
Notademocrat17@reddit
What state is Palestine in again?
SalvationSycamore@reddit
A state of collapse. Thankfully they are right next to the US territory of Israel so it's not too difficult to send them aid.
Notademocrat17@reddit

SalvationSycamore@reddit

Notademocrat17@reddit

iDarCo@reddit
352397@reddit
Jimmy Carter lost the election because the US was going through a recession, an oil crisis, and massive unemployment.
And his response to those situations was to tell Americans to wear a sweater and tighten their belts.

Only 17 out of 45 US presidents have won more than 1 election, although a few were ineligible to run more than once since they were serving the remainder of a previous president's term like Truman, Johnson, and Ford. Still under 50% either way. It's embarrassing that you probably consider yourself an informed voter but couldn't even bother to get your shit straight on a topic as simple as presidential election history.

burgonies@reddit

officesuppliestext@reddit

ZMowlcher@reddit

Onathezema@reddit
Tinfoil hat gets larger when you see that about 2 million voters from the 2020 election didn't re-register on the Democrat side along with the death toll across 2017-2020 was about 12 million. 81 - 67 = 14
cope-seeethe-dilate@reddit
But you're assuming that every single dead person of those 4 years was a democrat voter?
Onathezema@reddit
Nope, just a name that could be used without objection. 12 million dead divided by 50 states is only 250,000 ballots that need to be faked per state.
cope-seeethe-dilate@reddit
Ah ok I misunderstood, gotcha
Onathezema@reddit

The 2020 election came off of 4 of constant trump bad media coverage and covid. It’s not a stretch at all to believe that would cause more people to vote democrat
ChaseballBat@reddit
This makes fraud even less likely... Majority of the votes in 2020 were safe blue states... It wasn't even the swing states.
p4th_m4k3r@reddit
Mail in ballots dudes, covid rules. They sent mail in ballots to anyone and everyone, all you had to do was fill them out and drop them in the mail, is it any wonder they got more votes? Too fucking easy. Heavily favored the demonrats.
nebraskatractor@reddit

FlexOnJeffBezos@reddit
Bruh I’m just saying the popular vote isn’t fully counted yet. Post was clearly about dem vote totals
Electrical_Bee3042@reddit
I'd guess the higher voter turnout was because of covid. People got their ballots males to them vs going to the poll.
BasilExposition2@reddit

In the meantime, buy a fucking calculator.
Duoshot@reddit
I'm not reading this but it sounds like you're about to cry.

Trump got about a million less than he did in 2020
ILoveWesternBlot@reddit
It didn’t? It was basically the same as 2020. Still an impressive turnout for him with some ebb and flow among demographics. The big story in this election was evaporation of democratic support. She’s projected to get less votes than Clinton ffs
trainderail88@reddit
Not true on either count, Trump already has 2 million more votes than 2020 and they are still counting. Additionally, harris already has a million more votes than Hillary did and again, they are still counting. This is simply a case of trump running a better campaign and swaying a lot of moderates.
tipsy-turtle-0985@reddit
