No problem at all, I appreciate your open-mindedness.

Part 4 in particular just rubbed me the wrong way.

Giorno is often given extreme shit for being boring and vapid but josuke it a literal cardboard cutout.

In the beginning of the part, they really emphasised that josuke has a pure heart but might be forced to harm or take a life from someone. And his ideology is finally put to the test only for red hot chilli pepper to come out and kill the guy josuke had to eliminate. Ultimately choosing for josuke.

It just doesn’t understand dilemmas.

Not to mention how this is never brought up again, and the user of red hot chilli pepper that we’ve spent half the story chasing is largely irrelevant.

Then, we get to the “we were bad and now we’re good” trope. Extremely childless.

From the top of my head, I can think of two instances from this.

The guy with the lock guilt heart stand or whatever that was trying to exploit koichi to the point he was about to steal koichi’s house and let koichi’s mother and sister kill themselves due to the guy’s stand (correct me if I’m wrong since it’s been a long time since I watched part 4).

What happened? Koichi defeated him and now this vile man who is a gag character and is allowed to live without consequences and is considered relatively good because he sucks up to koichi and making him look like a le Chad.

Another instance is koichi’s crazy ass fucking girlfriend. Who is now suddenly good and not super unhinged all because koichi defeated her and she sucks up to him making him look like a le Chad.

Absolutely childish.

Kira is an okay villain but extremely overgrazed. He is suppose to be this super 300iq killer who has never been caught in 15 years.. but constantly walks around with a hand in his bag that he takes out in public and kisses?

The requiem arrow giving you a second activation was not only so random but how it pierced Kira is stupid.

There are also a lot of plot holes (you specifically being Joseph into the story, and the characters ignore the this stand can quite literally find out where and who Kira is?)

There are many other things. Like how it’s the only part where it’s grounded around a single area and literal murder mystery, giving you a great chance to introduce and utilise characters in your story, yet he does absolutely nothing with any of the characters and they literally feel either like a waste or page filler.

These are just some of the things I don’t like about part 4.
