Still shoots and functions great for 123 years

Had a chance to bring out my 1901 dated 1894 winchester.

Recently inherited a 70 year old .22 semiautomatic that shoots perfectly and super-accurate, along with its 50 year old big brother, a pre-safety Marlin .30-30, also totally smooth.

Thanks. I like the dog you have as your avatar. It looks like our daughter and son in law’s dog. Our son in law inherited a .22 bolt action from his grandfather, and he will teach his son, our grandson, with it. That rifle will be over 100 years old when it is passed to our grandson as his training rifle.

Thanks, it's good that he will teach him and a 22 is probably one of the best platforms to start him off with. And maybe one day he will teach his son with it.
