Every now and then...🤷🏾♂️ That handguard was pretty warm though. Looks like I'm gonna need to upgrade this charging handle because it seems to be reciprocating slightly during action.

There’s a ring in the charging handles with gas passes through to get to the bolt on direct impingement systems. In addition the friction of pull is lesser.

Yeah it isn't suppose to do that. Not enough to hit me in the face though. I've seen someone today with 300BLK come all the way back at last round hold open. Luckily he knew it was a problem and making video for demonstration purposes and did have his face by the cheek well.
I may just knuckle up and get the raptor.

Make sure the place that is supposed to latch onto the upper isn’t worn and the claw isn’t also worn down. Radian or the geissele handle is 👌

If the latch on the charging handle is worn down, you can replace just the latch or the whole handle. If the area that connects to the latch on the charging handle is worn down, an upper replacement would be what I would do. There may be another way but I don’t know it.

The latch notch has slight wear but the charger itself looks worn as if it's more rounded can slide off with enough pressure (not hand pressure but back pressure from action). Long story short, it's gotta go. Had a good life but time to upgrade to one that helps mitigate gas blowback to the face since I will likely be shooting it predominantly suppressed. Be walking around looking like a raccoon lmfao

Annnnnnd my gas rings are shot lol. I have it tuned to work both suppressed and unsuppressed but obviously being overgassed takes its course. I'd hate to tweak it then it starts to act up. No cycling issues, no feeding issues, last round bolt open works every time, accuracy on point. Decisions...🤔

I've been having this charging handle the life of the firearm and had thousands of rounds through it. Only did this recently when I mag dump which is very seldom. But yeah, will be changing out since I predominantly will be shooting suppressed.
