A recreation of “Ruffles” at an exhibit in the SLC History Museum. Crazy to see how big they are up close!

Ruffles was a “J-pod” Southern resident killer whale. This was a part of a temporary Orca themed exhibit in the museum. Very interesting!

Iceland has a huge warehouse filled with life size replicas of like 60 species of whales that you can visit. It’s totally trippy standing next to them and seeing their size!

What is the warehouse called??

Here it is! It’s fun for an hour or two for sure, and there’s an Iceland 3D ride 5 min away so you can make a proper morning of it. If you’re a whale fan I def recommend it https://www.whalesoficeland.is

Wow that sounds really cool. I can’t imagine being next to something bigger than ruffles here - made me have a lot of respect for the crazies that swim around with them lol. I know they don’t eat people but you’d think the primitive part of the brain would activate
