Looks like Ma Tai Go without water chestnuts. Kind of.
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
That’s my moms fave dim sum growing up!
Boomchan1@reddit
A Chinese neighbour used to share the dessert her mother made. I loved it!!
Did you show your creation to your mum?😁
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
No she would disown me
Boomchan1@reddit
😭🤣
DookieToe2@reddit
That’s broth, not jello. Really good broth if it sets up like this when cold.
doomvetch92@reddit
It looks like sewer water
BrickTechnical5828@reddit
But was it good?
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
It was awful😇
ahngeni@reddit
Great idea, worst execution! You can filter the tea, let it cool in fridge and only pour slow from top. Result will be clear tea liquid! This can be used with (less!!) powder, to make lovelly earl grey jelly!
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
Thank you! I would have to give that a try🥲
Itchy-Donkey6083@reddit
That’s not Jello that’s Shitto.

Dude, you can get a box of name brand Jell-O for like, $1.25 at Walmart. Is shit that dire rn? Is everything okay at home?
gimmeluvin@reddit
Jello has too much sugar and food coloring. Homemade lets you experiment with interesting flavors jello doesn't make
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
Yes i was just experimenting bc i love the jellies they put in boba tea and was trying to recreate it🥲
starsinmyteacup@reddit
The jelly in boba is all premade (it comes in jars!), I feel that it’s going to take some research to make from scratch
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
Im scared to reattempt it🫣
jungleass98@reddit
Sometimes cooking requires trial and error. And that's okay, that's how you learn. If you are genuinely interested in it I say go for it. Now you know what doesn't work. Maybe try making an Earl Grey latte from scratch. Maybe it will set better. I love to cook and I have failed A LOT, but I've learned so much from it and today I'm really great in the kitchen. Don't give up!

If your beef looks like that you might want to learn how to cook correctly

You know how you can make jello?
Get jello packets
Please never do whatever this is again. It's vile and you should be in prison
sohcordohc@reddit
Aspec? The meat jelly? (Not sure if it’s spelled right)

Frozen puddle water
Worldly_Chemist7506@reddit
Hope it tastes better than it looks.
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
No it was just as gross 🤣🤣
Jeramy_Jones@reddit
That is pretty clearly stock, but did you actually eat it like that?
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
Tried a bite or two and couldnt stomach it so ended up tossing it out🥲
Jeramy_Jones@reddit
Why not heat it up and make soup???
hard_clicker@reddit
You're confused unless that's a joke.
It's early grey tea and knox unflavored gelatin.
Heating it up won't help change the fact that it's gelatinous tea.
Jeramy_Jones@reddit
Oh I missed the bottom caption 😆
DaTree3@reddit
Looks like your eating chilled fat cubes 🤮
hard_clicker@reddit
Knox gelatin is awesome.
I_CRE8@reddit
More like Jell-NO
Advanced_Parfait2947@reddit
How do you even mess up jello this bad?
imma_ninjaaa@reddit (OP)
Idk i followed the box instructions😭 maybe the tea powder was too dense
Advanced_Parfait2947@reddit
Oh it's tea jello? Didn't even know this existed
Possible_Abalone_846@reddit
I wonder if it would work better to brew the tea first, then use that liquid to dissolve the gelatin.
I'm definitely intrigued by the idea if not the execution.
headphoneghost@reddit
Looks like it was made from the residue of a used pan after soaking in the sink for a few days. If you need cheap protein, I'd suggest stocking up on dry beans.
Smellerisdafeller@reddit
gimmeluvin@reddit
Thank you!!!!! I've never met anyone else who's made this and I absolutely love it!!!!
Try adding fresh fruit like oranges and grapes

This looks like that one life hack where you put gelatin in leftover frying oil so you can throw it in the trash
Gloomy-Restaurant-42@reddit
Tea. Earl Grey. Snot.
