Double action means action one: cocking the hammer/striker action 2: releasing. Single action means just releasing. What you're thinking of is a fully decocked system with double strike capability, which not all double actions are. There are also fully decocked strikers guns with restrike capability.
Single action is pulling the trigger and causing it to fire. Like a colt saa. Double action is pulling the trigger to both cock the firing mechanism and fire.
Like my fnx. I can pull the trigger with an uncocked hammer and fire. The trigger is doing 2 actions with one pull. Or I can manually cock the hammer then fire. One action.
With Glock the striker gets cocked when the slide is pulled back. So it’s single action only because the trigger isn’t cocking anything.
You explained exactly what I did, but worse, and for some reason don't understand that glocks partially cock on the forwards stroke of the slide and cock the majority of the way with the trigger. That's like, the one thing everyone knows about glocks.
I'm not sure why you're finding this so difficult.
I see the confusion. You read somewhere that glocks “safe action” is a dao system. It’s not. It’s still technically a sao because of one trigger pull is used to fire. Glocks safe action is just a unique safety system that does weird things, but the overall system is sao.
A fair amount of newer linear hammer "striker" guns are SAO. Walther, HK, SIG, Steyr, and more I'm sure.
Tanfoglio and BUL have made hybrid metal/polymer 1911s. Tanfos were imported by EAA as the witness-p 1911 or witness 1911p, not to be confused with the witness-p, which is mostly cz75 based. BUL M-5s are copies of the Para P14 series double stacks with a largely plastic frame, imported by several companies as several things.

Glock: am I a joke to you?

Glocks are DAO with the exception of the performance trigger/timney which does convert it to SAO.
SniperSRSRecon@reddit
Glocks are sao. You pull trigger, gun goes off. Dao it would have to be cocking the gun by the trigger action like a revolver. Strikers are all sao

That describes double action and da/sa too, are you taking the piss?

The point is it’s still not a dao
