I don't know if this monitor setup is the smartest or dumbest thing I've come up with... But it works

Ultrarm mounted into a PVC pipe wedged between the bunk and the wall and ziptied to the hinges.

It'll hold but it's the jarring bumps while driving that will damage mounts.
I would find a way to load strap it while driving so all of the pressure is not on the mount.

Maybe for gaming
I thought about putting a 50" on the back wall then one of those lay down lounge foldy chairs between the seats facing rear
SandyAmbler@reddit
What mount are you using?
BernieBlack@reddit (OP)
Heavy duty ultrarm for wide screens. It holds up to 40 pounds

Awesome, thanks. I’ll add it to my list

I have this same monitor and I’d be terrified to mount it like this 🤣

I like it!!! Wraparound porn!!!

If it's stupid, but it works; it isn't stupid

Get a more rigid pipe, like an iron or even copper pipe, PVC is not load bearing....
Responsible_CDN_Duck@reddit
I'd hang it from the bunk above. A clamp arm one one side, or a pair angle prices hooking to both sides.
Responsible_CDN_Duck@reddit
"Wedged" tends to end poorly for monitors.
IThinkImNateDogg@reddit
Is that pvc pipe reinforced with anything? I’d try and get small square wood plank in there to stiffen it up and hold it back from flexing and potentially shattering while driving over a pothole, sending your pretty nice monitor flying
BernieBlack@reddit (OP)
I don't leave the monitor up while I'm driving. It's easy to take off and put back on.

I’d still look into getting a more rigid pole (giggity) cause that will snap over time. Great idea though!
BernieBlack@reddit (OP)
Good idea. All I could get on the road

Looks smart to me
