The flavor of nostalgia

Y’all, I’ve not had this is a decade. Flavors are so strangely tied to memory. This flavor is that of a fancy party at an older family member’s house. I guess I’m that older family member now??

There's nothing better than a big dollop of this stuff smeared on top of a Ritz cracker.

Then, place another Ritz on top and try not to crumbs everywhere when you bite into your ritz port wine sandwich

I might have heard of the brand, never had it as spreadable cheese, let alone port flavor.
What I had before, is a sharp cheddar spread, forget the brand.

All I can think of is a pair of slip-on shoes worn by someone with very large, Hobbit-like feet who doesn't wash.

This was too fancy for my family. We got the jars of spreadable Kraft cheese for special occasions.
Ok-Cauliflower-3129@reddit
Mine too. Fancy was cheeze whiz in a aerosol can. 😂

Old Croc? I prefer Weyauwega port wine spreadable from good old WI.

Use this stuff every holiday for a dip my grandma used to make.

wine cheese is also something I associated with going to my grandma’s!

Love port wine cheese but it gives me the worst migraine ever since I was a child so I must stay away 😔

You definitely were relying on Siri for that one and she failed you.

I just ate some port wine cheddar for lunch! Remember the cheese balls you could get that were rolled in chopped nuts? Delicious!!😋

I still make them! I make one and snack all day. I eat port wine too

This stuff is delicious.

My daddy ate this all the time when we were kids! Just recently introduced my kids to Port wine cheese and they stole it all within 2 days lol

Is it over?!!
MommaBear354@reddit
My grandma always had this! Or the weird cheese log rolled in nuts. Good times

Did anyone's family make a giant cheese ball with the stuff? I can't recall what was on the inside but I used to steal the mini spreading knife because I loved tiny things.
When we went to fancy holiday parties I remember my parents checking my coat to make sure I didn't swipe any cheese knives or demitase spoons
wittywy@reddit
Still buy it for Christmas

I loved this stuff. Spread on those fancy crackers.
