What are we doing about the obviously rapidly growing road rage problem?

Sorry if this is the wrong sub, also don't want to come across like I'm just complaining. I see this ongoing problem that is RAPIDLY growing (at least in my areas?) of road rage getting worse and worse. 5 years ago, you'd hear OCCASIONALLY about a road rage incident that ended with something violent. Now, I bet you I could find an example every single day of physically violent road rage, in my city of 75k-ish. I live in a fairly average (I think) American city, I'd figure this is probably the same everywhere, at least in America. Seems like every time I get on the road, there is a collection of bad drivers, and people that are mad at the bad drivers and want to prove that to them by any means necessary.

Again, this isn't me complaining though. I guess what I really want to know is what, if anything, is being done about this problem? The roads are busier today than ever, more people are driving than ever, and they are driving worse than ever. I haven't met anybody that doesn't agree. What is the "big plan" to fix this problem? I'm not saying that it has to work but I've just honestly never even seen any real government acknowledgment of this problem. Maybe I'm thinking too deep into it, but I just feel like this seems like an obvious thing to try to fix, as a politician, even if its just to get votes. Saying "I have a plan to fix the road rage and driving problem that you all deal with" would certainly put some people in your corner, I'd think. Again, probably thinking too deep into it. I just feel like I get on Reddit every day, or get on the road, and see WILD stuff, yet never any real solution to the problem. What is it? Or are we just continuing down this path until things get worse?
